The staff at The Coffee Pot don't concern themselves with trivial matters such as customer service. Our party of nine ordered $100 worth of sub-par food. One member of our party brought in a plate from a neighboring restaurant. The staff promptly ordered her outside because they don't allow food from other vendors. We were unaware of their policy, and they took no pains to politely explain it. We were visiting during off season, and there were at least twenty other vacant seats and only two other people dining. In addition to being rude, they served food that wasn't worth half the price. I ordered lobster bisque which was as thick as yogurt and didn't actually contain any chunks of lobster. I couldn't even choke it down. I would not recommend The Coffee Pot to anyone. I've never left a review for a restaurant before. In fact, I had to open this yelp account to leave this review. Visited late afternoon and had the Roma Panini which was mozzarella, tomato, basil, with a vinegarette dressing. In addition, we had the iced coffee, peach/strawberry smoothie, and piña Colada smoothie. The panini was good. The smoothies weren't sweet but a big size. Iced coffee was very good. One thing I noticed was the amount of flies that we had to constantly fight off of us and the food. Did I mention we were eating inside? There is outdoor seating if you want to people watch. Over priced, spent $48.00 for lunch, lobster roll, lobster mac n cheese , and fried clams plus 2 bottles of water...what a joke. The mac n cheese tasted like boxed kraft minus the day glow orange cheese and there was no lobster flavor at all. The roll, was semi flavorful, but had an over powering taste of celery salt. The clams were right out of a frozen box and were devoid of any flavor at all the fries that came with them tasted of burnt old cooking oil. The place was run down and dirty looking and the same can be said for the employees also. Long wait for overprice, predictable sandwiches and if you are unlucky enough to be served by the wife's owner, simply forget asking to use the restroom. She won't say you can't, of course (it's against the law) but she will make you wait for 10-15 minutes like an idiot in front of the locked restroom's door. Every time you will ask, she will tell you that somebody else is inside until you will eventually give up. They have collected many complains about that at the local Town Hall. I just found out! If you plan to go there and you'll be deny to use the restroom, please, pee in the coffee cup and leave it for them to the counter! They deserve it. read more

These off Commercial Street food stands are great spots to grab something to eat in Ptown with out spending a fortune. Stopped in 2 days in a row. Got a smoothie the first day and wasn't impressed, pricey and bland nothing noteworthy, not bad just nothing impressive. Ended up stopping in the following day cause I really needed coffee got a large iced coffee and was pleased, the pricing was the best I've seen at $4 and it was a big 24oz coffee. The girl I dealt with was the same both days and she was friendly which is worth mentioning cause that seems to be VERY rare around Ptown employees, some of that may be cultural differences but some is definitely just a snooty arrogance that I don't care for. Great low key place near the ferry in the center of town. They have breakfast and lunch selections. They have flavored coffees, if you want that, but I had regular coffee. I also had a pistachio muffin - it was yummy! It was more like a mini loaf cake and so flavorful with plenty of pistachios. When I was there it seemed to be frequented by the locals so it must be good. The breakfast sandwiches that I saw looked excellent. Only here a few days so hope to get back to try something else. A mom and pop shop that can do it! Great, fresh, home made baked goods. Made to order breakfast sandwiches. Excellent coffee. It's not a Ptown trip without a couple days of early rising, watching the sun rise over the harbor, biking to the main wharf, getting a fresh, hot cinnamon sugar donut and coffee, watching the locals who are up that early socialize on the benches outside, reading the paper and feeling like I've got a great jump on the day. Loaded lobster roll is my favorite thing on the planet but since one cannot eat one every day without blowing an artery, other options like the chicken wraps are excellent alternatives. Menu is pretty extensive- something for everyone. The baked goods are all scratch made on premises. Oatmeal raisin cookies make a fine finish to the meal. Owners are really friendly and put a lot of care into the quality of their food. On a warm day get food to go and walk onto the beach a few hundred feet away. Great place to sit and people watch as you enjoy your breakfast. I ordered egg and cheese on a roll, very good.
