I can't believe I've never reviewed this place before because my friends and I eat here every year during our annual P-Town trip. We've never had a bad meal here....everything is always great; food, service, drinks are all terrific. Usually, I'll have one of their signature cocktails (although this year I just had ginger ale) and cheesy garlic bread is always a must. I have been in a rut the past few years ordering the chicken parm but it's soooo good and also the portion is gigantic so I take half of it home for lunch the next day. The desserts are always a treat. This year we had the chocolate bomb, key lime pie and turtle cheesecake. They were all winners but the turtle cheesecake took the gold medal. Just writing my review, it makes me want to go back so I'll be looking forward to my next visit. read more

My husband and I decided to have a last minute dinner and around 8pm, stopped by Liz's. The breakfast is amazing but my husband never had dinner there so we intentionally made it a point to eat here. We were greeted immediately by Chadwick who made us feel very welcome. He directed us to the host who sat us outside on the new patio. Lovely ambiance btw. Chadwick was our server and promptly took our order. Once the food arrived he checked in with us. He was personable and always had a smile on his face. The food was as always, amazing. Cheesy bread, wings, eggplant and chicken parmigiana. It was too good and Chadwick added to the goodness. Request him when you eat here. The only complaint we have for Liz is now we have to do an extra day of cardio. Also, at the end of the dining experience, a neighboring table left to smoke cigarettes on Bradford Street right in front of the patio. Liz, the owner, thought they left bags behind and went to remind them. Liz asked them to please not smoke in that area and they turned high, bitchy queen on her. Just a suggestion, if you smoke, wait until you're done with dinner and far away from the restaurant. And for God's sake don't abuse the owner because she is enforcing a policy for the comfort of other diners. No one likes smoke blowing in their face when they're eating a good meal or a nasty, queen complaining because they've had something pointed out to them. Have some respect. read more

For the first time for two of us we took out younger members of or family (who had dined here before) to one of their favorite restaurants in the town. We can back up their opinion as a place well worth patronizing. There is a bustling and lively atmosphere in an informal and very pleasant space. The room was packed with different types of people enjoying their meals. Three of us had cocktails- the fourth does not drink. The order included a cucumber lemonade, two Honey Bear Toddys, (just right for the cold weather), and a nonalcoholic beer. We also had glasses of house red (a Malbec) and a Sauvion Blanc. We shared two appetizers: mussels and cheesy garlic bread, both of which were excellent. The main courses were a Cod Florentine (nicely cooked but a little bland for me but enjoyed by our daughter), a good Sausage Orecchiette for-me which I could only eat half of it, an excellent grilled salmon and an equally good shepherd's pie. I also ordered a side of fries which was overkill. And no one had any room for dessert. Our server was attentive and efficient. The check came to $232 not including the service charge. It is over the four stars that I gave and just under a five star rating. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives or visits the area. read more

Went for brunch and it was great! We loved the outdoor patio! The pancakes were great and we appreciated the attentive service.

Ambiance was memorable; on the whole, the food was not. We started with a Caesar salad ($13) and the burrata ($18). The burrata was delicious; we loved the tangy tomato jam. We did not finish the Caesar... we found it rather dry, and the romaine didn't taste fresh! Perhaps little gem lettuce would have been better? Do not recommend. The Scallop piccata ($42) was fabulous after we added salt; appreciated that it wasn't oversalted. Lots of scallops and spinach to balance things out, and grilled bread to dip in a simple, garlicky white sauce that hit the spot. We got a slice of berry pie ($11) to finish. For the price, we were surprised how tiny it was! It was served cold. My friend got a side of mac and cheese ($11) and the crab cake appetizer (1 crab cake, $10). The mac and cheese had a tasty crust. The crab cake was fine. Ambiance is homey, with warm string lights and portraits on the walls. Service was great. I would return to splurge on seafood pasta, but skip the salads and dessert. Perhaps we should have sent them back! read more

Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner around 5:45 pm in February. I was able to get a seat at the bar but it was pretty busy inside. I was also able to find street parking a couple streets down. The inside is cute and quaint. I wasn't starving and I ordered the Cod Florentine. I loved it! The sauce was delicious and the cod was made perfectly. All the flavors worked really well with this dish and I was glad I got it! Left happy! Yum! read more

Visited Liz's two days in a row. First day was great, got the ham eggs Benedict and great service. Went back today and got salmon Benedict. The salmon was very salty and service was not as good or friendly. 4 hours later I threw all of it up which I'm sure it was the salmon that made me sick. As my companion, has no sickness though she got a different eggs Benedict. Very upsetting to ruin my day in cape cod. UPDATE AFTER LIZ'S RESPONSE: Food poisoning can occur 30 minutes after consuming contaminated food. I really wish Liz and her team instead of trying to invalidate my real sickness (having only ate that) would apologize and ensure they were storing their salmon properly and being extra cautious. This was not a slander post more of a warning however now I will not return. read more

This diner was a nice walk from our Airbnb. Once inside this quaint restaurant we instantly fell in love with the ambience. They have a nice size patio for outside dining. We chose to enjoy our meal inside. We ordered two number 8s which consisted of two eggs cooked to order, two pieces of meat (bacon, turkey bacon, etc.,), home fries and your choice of either two pancakes or two French toast slices. Everything was delicious! They had best home fries I ever gotten in a restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a small cafe in town. It was rainy and cool on a Sunday morning so it was packed. We had to wait about 45 min for a table for 3 but it was worth the wait. Liz's is one of our favorites. We just got back in town for the summer and had dinner their tonight. The inside looks great and I can't wait for the new outdoor area to open. I had meatloaf with mac & cheese...always one of my favorite and didn't disappoint tonight. My better half had clam chowder which she claims is one of the best in town and the tasty cod sandwich. Unfortunately, due to an extremely rude waiter, we have to give this rather cute place a poor review. We came for a nice breakfast, after looking for where we could have gluten free options. An older, bald, no patience kinda guy flew by our table. He quickly asked what we wanted. My partner asked for gluten free toast with her meal, and wanted to explain she was celiac, but he was gone before she could even finish her sentence. Of course her plate came with regular toast on it. She had to wait while he finished flirting with a young man at the bar to get his attention. He came with a frown, as if we interrupted his potential evening hook up. She politely stated that she had to have the toast without gluten and tried to ask about the potato's on the plate ... that question wasn't heard the first time because earlier, he walked away while she was speaking to him. I was shocked. We travel all over the world, and have never been treated so horribly by a server, or anyone for that matter. I tried to speak with him about this issue and he literally shewed me off stating to leave and to never come back. I was shaking and stunned by how this man was being. Your establishment deserves much better. We have a lot of friends that come to P town, unfortunately this situation about Liz's Cafe and the awful man that works there, will be shared. read more

Follow-up to one star review. I must say I was surprised that Liz actually took the time to call me and apologize for the bad experience we had in trying to eat at her cafe. She was genuine and couldn't have been nicer. Having been in the business, mistakes happen and nights can get away from you. We weren't able to make reservations so we showed up at 5pm when they opened for dinner. They were able to accommodate us and I am glad they did. The staff was very friendly and attentive during our entire dining experience. The restaurant has seating inside and out. My kids ordered chicken and eggplant parm which came with spaghetti and homemade sauce. They both ate majority of their dinner. I ordered the homemade pesto with sausage and it was so good that I ate the entire dish (as well as half of one of my daughter's chicken breasts). My wife had the shrimp scampi and really enjoyed that as well. The food was so good that we had to try the dessert. The Chocolate Bomb reminded me of a truffle. It had a bottom cake base with a large light truffle like body and all coated with a hard layer of chocolate. Delish! If/when we ever come back to Provincetown, Liz's will be on our list to eat at again! read more

5 Star ALERT!! I would highly recommend this breakfast spot if visiting ptown! They have a lot of outdoor seating as well as indoor. Expect a wait if visiting in peak summer time! We were told 45 minutes and probably waited 30. But they take your number and call your cell when ready (this is huge!!!) We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us some of the best service. Huge shout out to him! I think his name was Phillip! What we got: -salmon Benedict - in my partners words "DELICIOUS!" - hash and eggs - the bartender recommended it and he was not lying!! Some of the best hash and eggs I've ever had! I am not lying! - we also got some French toast and while it was filling, I've definitely had better. So we'd try something up next time. Disappointing. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the food as we had to grab pizza in lieu of our reserved dinner at Liz's Cafe. We agreed to delay our 8pm reservation made a month in advance by 30 minutes on a cold night during Holly Folly apparently to accommodate another large party arriving earlier. It didn't matter as the restaurant did not manage the prior large party and, after waiting an additional 15 minutes in the cold, seeing fresh drinks and dessert on their table, we elected to leave. If you want to try this place, maybe stop in but do not count on your reservations being honored. read more

Ok, we went back for breakfast. I usually rarely give 5 stars, but hear me out: It's P-town, a high-end resort in MA. We can brunch anywhere. We chose Liz's cafe. Yellow umbrellas on a patio, really dog friendly (we named new friends just by sharing treats), cool staff (yes, they did care for the comfort of our dog) and accommodating kitchen. We manage to custom- make most of our breakfast items ('can I have fruit instead of fries' and 'we'll, I like THAT dish but I want salmon on the side') and got smiles and 'absolutely' attitude. Great house coffee (I know!) and greet drinks!! To the owner: keep up the good and relaxing atmosphere - it's a winner! To all: we'll probably be back for breakfast before leaving p-town. Excellent breakfast spot in Provincetown. We came here twice during our brief stay. They have a decent amount of seating inside and three igloos outside. The igloos were quite comfortable and warm. I got the fried chicken and waffles and the home hash. The fried chicken was delicious and indubitably one of the best I've had. The home hash and poached eggs were also delicious. Service was quick. There's always a line for brunch I've heard but that tells you something right? Right! Good food and great service. Our wait was approximately 35 minutes. But no matter; left my name and cell in case I was not that close by. As we waited, there was an art installation about a block away and I also got to enjoy the outdoor patio where other folks were waiting. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the air quality was good. The outdoor seating is great for larger groups. It's covered with umbrellas and such. You'll get to enjoy the local scenery as well if you're outside. The indoor seating which is where we were, is cozy, has a bistro vibe. Yellow and white striped bench seating, a bar that resembles parts of a ship, and there are currently clear partitions separating the cozier bistro tables for Covid safety reasons. We appreciated that since we sat very close in proximity to the neighboring table. Some tables were clearly meant for two vs four. Can be a squeeze. Onto the food - the flippers are pretty popular in Provincetown. It's a local Portuguese style of fried dough. They look like pillowy triangular donuts. Topped with powered sugar and fresh fruit (optional). Delicious!! I personally enjoyed the Portuguese scramble: linguica, cheddar, peppers and onions. My kids went for the two eggs & choice of meat plates and hubby opted for the Salmon plate (lox and bagel). Everything was plated nicely and the portions were fair. These are not NYC diner style portions so be aware. I've seen other photos where the dishes were not so full looking and it seems to have been addressed. As each plate coming out of the kitchen looked Instagram ready. The coffee was really good and complimentary refills...the staff was good about offering a refill without us even asking. Service was very attentive and the gentleman that managed the seating wait list was very friendly. While in Provincetown, this is a must try spot if you're a fan of brunch any time of day. The menu is simple but covers all the good breakfast eats which is why we came. There are sandwiches, salads and other entrees but I honestly didn't give it a look. I believe some of the egg dishes are served all day. read more

The food is always good- my son's asks about the flippers a lot - but today we had great service and had a really nice chat with Liz.
