I have been getting coffee from these folks for years. No comparison to any other coffee. This is as good as it gets.

Ordered 5 lbs of Papua New Guinea single origin. Although there were a couple hiccups (the address was an overseas APO address at a US Embassy), the CoffeeAM team really went the extra mile to make things right. I picked up my order today, and the smell of my freshly roasted PNG coffee (brewed in mo mokka pot) is filling the room. The first sip takes me back to my time in the PNG highlands. Thanks so much! Ordered and paid for 5 pounds of coffee on 6/16. It took until 7/1 to get the product. The company moved its roasting operations to Colorado and that delayed deliveries. They assure the order/ship or pickup issues are resolved. I'm delighted. I love their coffee and have been buying it for several years! Well, maybe I am just one of the luckier customers but I don't ever remember have more than 2 or 3 very minor issues in probably 15 or more years! I am a very long-time customer for a reason, and I usually order flavored decaf whole beans and just one type, Organic French Roast, reg caffeine. I have never had a bad tasting bag of flavored, some I like more than others, but I am very sensitive to all coffee, and whatever magic they do, I have obviously been fine! Avoid this place, horrible deceptive pictures on website, outrageous shipping costs and not to mention a non-existent customer service department. I bought many syrups, decided to place an order for a sauce. The Website shows picture with pump so I added to the cart. Item arrived with no pump, come to find out if you go to the item description it says in small wording that the pump is not included, however if you add it directly to cart from the search or category, as I did, then you never see that the pump is not included. They provide the option to add to cart without clicking on the description so pictures should be accurate or have the disclaimer on the picture itself. All their competitors have a picture without the pump but they choose to be deceptive and show the product with the pump attached. Their customer service will do nothing to help make it right despite being 100% at fault. Instead they will try to make you seem at fault. Horrible company, save your money and go to SeattleCoffeeGear, they will not treat customers this way. read more

As a self professed coffee snob that has been buying single origin coffee bean for over 35 years about 7 of which with CoffeeAm. I started my journey with a place on the Brooklyn Queens border, Dallis Bros. After being a customer for sometime the staff knew my taste preference. Upon entering the store,the staff would "wink" me over to the freshly roasted beans. Well I moved they no longer were retail and their selection went to blends. Where to go....hmmm. Fairway in Stamford CT roasted and their selection was good until they closed. I came upon CoffeeAm's website and decided to give them a road test. Okay granted shipping costs were high. Good selection, what I appreciated the most was description or better yet the coffee profile. This makes the buying easier. This past week I ordered, my package arrived. The first thing today and why I never paid attention to this before was the packaging. No extra fluff. The box was exact to my 2 pounds. Others like Amazon could take a lesson in this. This is one amazing coffee roaster. I am a picky little bastard when it comes to coffee beans, and these are some of the finest and most consistent. My favorite are the espresso gold and the espresso Italia.. Shipping is fast and rate is very reasonable, and the coffee is expertly roasted and smells divine when you open the bag. For me simply put this is one coffee roaster that I can trust to get some of the finest coffee beans available. I purchased 5lbs of Coffee from Coffee Am and it tasted burnt and had a horrible taste. I tried brewing the coffee in a Jura, press , and Aero Press and it always tasted the same, so I sent in a request to refund or replace the coffee and they have not replied. read more

Okay here is my update. To Brian the OWNER? You obviously did not take into consideration the roaster issue I mentioned. Considering reading other reviews I am pretty confident it is NOT ME who tastes or smells bitter awful coffee. And it appears I am not the only one who has received burnt dark brown and black beans. This flavored coffee is supposed to be medium roast...not burned! Again, I ask... Who is roasting your coffee beans? You should either teach him/her how to roast, teach him/her to give a doggone about the CONSISTANT QUALITY IS CRUCIAL because ultimately IT IS GOING TO COST YOU, CUSTOMERS! And pay them a living wage! or just FIRE HIM OR HER! Sure hit and miss you will always have a customer....but that then leads me to ask, do you even give a hoot for your long time customers? Even for first-time customers, if you sell them burnt rancid coffee beans-do you think they will come back? YOU NEED TO CARE MORE ABOUT YOUR COMPANY!! AND WHAT IS THIS HAVING ANOTHER COFFEE COMPANY UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME? Just down the road and yet roasted by the same roaster according to one of your employees at Flavored Coffee!! I had a horrible experience with your customer service , your office manager and someone who described himself as an office assistant. Brian (supervisor) stated Do not provide Roasted by date because they don't want to!! That is what was said on 04/05/21 by supervisor (Brian) If a Roaster does not provide a roasted by date it's because they do not want you to know how old it is. Per Brian it's no law stating they have to do this. If you want to know how fresh the coffee roast is.... You will be taking a risk with this company. Must say, wish i would have viewed these reviews prior to ordering. Put an order in five days ago for a 5# bag of organic. Noticed a discrepancy on the order once i hit submit. Sent an online message with no reply and then the next two days, left a voice message along with online messages... no response. Received the coffee and will keep it not knowing what would happen if i returned it. Will not order another item from this company. I am very surprised to see so many bad reviews. CoffeeAM has literally provided me with the best tasting blended and Single Origin Coffee I have ever tasted. Customer service is also top notch and the reps have so much knowledge that they freely share because they LOVE coffee and it is their passion. Most of the bad reviews are about flavored coffee and in my opinion flavored coffee is not good from anywhere. Why add flavor to something that already tastes delicious, just my opinion. I have been a customer since 2006 for a very good reason! Best coffee and outstanding customer service when I need to call them, which isn't often. However, this week, I had an issue and the customer service department bent over backwards to accommodate me. So, whoever complains about them, needs to re-assess maybe their own attitude. I grind all my own beans, and I have my favorite caffeinated Organic French Roast, which I mix with a few favorite flavored decafs. Love the Dark Chocolate, Almond Toffee Crunch, and my favorite flavored is the Vanilla Hazelnut. My day isn't complete without my morning mix! No complaints from me! read more

It's hard to glean from the on site reviews which are the better coffees but I never order flavored coffee and usually stay with single origin. Coffee from CoffeeAM will likely have a coating of oil, and this is actually a *good* thing. When coffee beans are roasted medium or darker, the beans naturally release oils. The oiliness is an indication that your coffee is freshly roasted, unlike the stale dry coffee beans several other reviewers seem to be used to. Not only does CoffeeAM give you fresh roasted coffee, the prices are per-pound about the same as buying a bag of mass-produced Starbucks beans. Their website contains tons of reviews and description, so it is easy to narrow down the large selection to coffee that you may like. Also, CoffeeAM love to give you freebies. Free mugs, free hats, free samples, there always seems to be some cool giveaway and this shows an appreciation for the customer. The only thing I did *not* like about CoffeeAM is the flavored coffee. This was a free sample so I wasn't out anything, but I very much prefer the normal roasts. read more

Ordered a sampler and some espresso beans. They all taste the same, bad. I really like coffee. I really truly like great coffee. I tolerate to enjoy mediocre coffee. This is over burnt additive laden coffee. The espresso roast was swimming in coating oil. All the beans tasted stale and not differentiated at all. For the same money try intelliencia, Rev, Bergdorff, etc. This company prices premium for awful coffee. Do not buy. Also, their shipping notice provides no details of who sent what. I got an email notice from Fedex with no identifiable information. That screams quality. read more

Undrinkable Swill This is, by far, the most horrible coffee I have ever tasted. Having bought some delicious Salted Caramel Coffee while in Ohio last summer, I expected a comparable product from CoffeeAM, and ordered 2 lbs. Unfortunately, it in no way resembles a caramel taste. It actually smells and tastes like burned coffee beans blended with insecticide. Truly undrinkable and a pricey mistake ordering from CoffeeAM. I am not a coffee drinker, however, I do enjoy a good roaster with selection, and this is exactly what you will get with coffeeam.com! I just bought some coffee for a gift and noticed that they also sell tea, all kinds of tea. I love tea. I bought the Magnolia Oolong and it is delicious, about $9 for 1/4 bag. The coffees range in prices, roasts, flavors so if you are a fan of coffee you will have fun searching on their site. I placed an order on a Monday and received it on the following Thursday, VERY fast shipping and they claim to roast the beans you select the same day that they ship. Pretty cool and pretty fresh! I also love that on the labels, they tell you what the coffee is put they also put your name on it too, it makes it feel like it was made especially for me! I am definitely adding this place to my list for teas and if the coffee drinker is a fan too, then for coffee as well. I also think the shipping charge was very reasonable, $5.95 for any size order (I think) so it makes buying in bulk totally worth it. read more

Like their decaf espresso but intensely dislike the attitude of the customer service reps. Talk about an "I could care less" attitude! I called to ask about their inordinately high shipping rates. When the rep explained that because I was ordering a flavored syrup, the shipping rate was well over $10.00. I then said that even if I delete the syrup, the rate for a pound of coffee is almost $6.00. I politely said that I am going to purchase my syrups elsewhere and she said "OK." She could have cared less. I will now also shop for another source for my espresso. I really cannot tolerate poor attitudes by customer service reps. read more

My father loves freshly brewed coffee from beans he grinds himself, and he is very difficult to purchase gifts for, so I am very grateful to CoffeeAM for years of providing him with something he loves! I love being able to browse coffees by region, and they roast and pack the coffee the same day that it is shipped, so it is fresh. My dad has always said the coffee is delicious, and is sad when it is gone. Their delivery fee is low, and because of their location it always arrives in just a couple days. They email a shipping notification. Yes, the notification is ambiguous but it doesn't change the speed of shipping or quality of the product! This past Christmas I also sent my dad a Tortuga rum cake, and he loved it. I'm hoping to try one for myself this year! read more

I've been ordering from coffeeam for years now. My husband and I like flavored coffees & they have so many to choose from. We've enjoyed them all! Also order regular coffee from time to time. Never had a complaint. Shipping is always 3 days for us. Very consistent. Ordered french press by mistake once & called customer service to change it to whole bean with no problem whatsoever. Very kind & efficient. I've tried other coffee companies out there but none as good as my coffeeam!! read more
