Quality has gone downhill. We asked for a 1/2 caf latte with oat milk and were served a latte with half and half. When we told the barista that wasn't our order she said we had to go back through the long line again so the cashier could correct the order. Had a business meeting in Truckee and decided to meet at this coffee shop. It's a really nice coffee shop, people are friendly and many indoor and outdoor tables to sit at your laptop conduct business or just have a nice snack and coffee. Parking is definitely tight. I had to use the pay system but it was only a dollar an hour. That coupled with a four dollar large Americano, it is definitely worth the visit. I will definitely come back. I came in with a group of 6 on a Sunday morning, and there was a long line leading outside the door. The inside is really cute and dim lit. I thought it was nice how they had bake and prepared their pastries freshly daily. The young girl at the cashier was sweet and it seemed like she was being training still, which wasn't any trouble at all. I noticed that once our food and drinks were coming out, a there were a few things had ordered was incorrectly made. I don't have an issue with that, as long as our order was fixed, but the barista making the drinks had a bad attitude. While we were waiting, she messed up on other customers orders and I could see her glaring at customers instead of just owning up to the mistakes and trying to resolve it. I think mistakes happen and that's okay, but the way she handled it was inappropriate for someone working in customer service. I ordered the matcha latte with soy milk, chicken salad sandwich with wheat bread, and the cinnamon roll warmed up. I personally didn't like anything that I ordered. The matcha latte was very bland and tasted watered down. The chicken salad sandwich didn't have much flavor and it tasted sour (a lot of my friends also said their food tasted sour). The cinnamon roll just didn't taste fresh, and I just think the preserved store bought cinnamon rolls were better quality. I tried my friend's drinks; ube latte, americano, and lychee rose latte, and I think out of all the drinks, the lychee rose latte was the best. My friend who ordered the lychee rose latte didn't like her drink though. Every food item at this place was also super pricey. It cost $18 for a chicken salad sandwich and $12 for a cinnamon roll. I think it was convenient since it was near our cabin, but I probably wouldn't try again if I'm in the area. read more

I love Coffeebar. Someone who's been a barista for almost 7 years I'd say Coffeebar is my top 3 favorite coffee shops in the Reno area. They have amazing coffee. I love their cappuccinos, americanos, and they always have fun seasonal drinks too. I'm also gluten sensitive so them having gf options is amazing! Their gf pumpkin muffin is delightful! They also always have really cute merch and coffee mugs available for purchase. Definitely a great place to come hang out with friends, or so solo and enjoy some me time while reading a book. read more

My family and I drove an hour to spend an afternoon strolling Truckee, shop, and have coffee and pastries at Coffeebar. Unfortunately, we were truly disappointed by the rude and hateful barista, who had long blonde hair and an awful attitude. She had no basic human respect or kindness which is quite opposite of the beautiful "You belong here" writing on the glass window/door. Each time that my daughter and I stepped toward the drinks, she rolled her eyes and demanded us to step away. We weren't even blocking anyone or standing in the way!! When I didn't think this barista could be anymore disrespectful, she took it to the next level. We heard a name similar to my daughter's name, so we walked toward the counter to see if it was our drinks. The barista angrily reprimanded us by saying, "These are not yours! You'll know your drinks are ready when you hear your name!" My daughter was in complete bewilderment. This woman was very mean to us for no reason at all! This behavior should not be tolerated. As tourists, we expected this coffee shop to be amiable and welcoming, solidified by their written message on the door. We returned the pastry we had bought and I asked the cashier to cancel our order. No matter how delicious their coffee and pastries could possibly be, the entire experience isn't worth it when one has to deal with such a rude person working there. We could have had a nice afternoon in town, but this incident turned us away, we drove to NorthStar and stayed there the rest of the day. VERY Disappointing!! read more

When the sign on the door states "ALL ARE WECOME" I know they are going to be cool inside. This is a great hangout off of the main drag. Lots of outdoor seating, some under cover. The interior is super clean and kitchy cool...with fun and interesting local art on the walls. Great service by, well everyone inside. I got an iced matcha latte and it had the perfect amount of nutty flavor without too much bitterness that matcha drinks can sometime have. I love coming here after snowboarding at Northstar. Their veggie burrito is delicious with their sides of salsa and sour cream. I love how there are beets in it. They have a parking lot, but it is small. Their crossiant and bakery goods are pretty good too. This is always our go to coffee shop when visiting Truckee and it's a tradition for us to make this our first and last stop when in the area. They have tons of breakfast and pastry options that are gluten free and they are all delicious. We love their pumpkin donut holes, blueberry bran muffin, almond croissant. They have a fabulous avocado toast as well. Their coffee is so smooth and they have good non-espresso drink options - turmeric latte and matcha latte are great. Cute little coffee shop when you walk in. When we got in, it was around 130, so most of the pastries were picked over and gone. The chocolate croissant looked really good, but too big for the small snack I was looking for to go with my coffee. We decided on a brownie. While the brownie was good and had a gooey consistency, it was a little off-putting that it was ice cold. I was not expecting that. Since I had never been here before, I kept it safe with a mocha. It was ok. I had higher hopes for better flavor, but it was pretty bland and not as hot as I normally like my coffee. The people who work here were nice, and the service was decent. The girl who took my order asked if whole milk was ok and I asked if they had nonfat and she said "sure I have 2%" lol uhh ok, I decided to just go with the whole milk instead. The staff is so personable and friendly. Always vibrant and smiling. You get a good cross section of Renoites here. Community vibes and lots of artists and musicians always. The food is the best I've ever had at a coffee shop. The one area for improvement is that they use a clever for pour over and you can taste the difference between that and a true pour over. Small town coffee shop (there is also a location in Reno) that displays local artists and that rotate out. You can purchase those pieces straight from the walls. You also will meet Great locals to truckee here. Great place to ask for advice of places to go, eat, and things to do. The bakery section is always full of treats that any diet can eat. They also have a kitchen so you can get meals there as well! Want some wine? No problem, they have a wine menu too! Coffees are amazing and they really know how to do it. You can buy their coffee at the shop. Overall a great coffee shop and a staple of truckee. Grab some merch while you're there. My little sister ordered an iced latte, and was given a small hot latter. When asked if they would be able to remake it, they did so no problem. Went out for a morning stroll and stumbled upon coffee bar in truckee , it had a nice outdoor eating area and the entrance of the cafe is giving the vibe of like a step up movie if that makes sense , the bakery items smell delicious and the taste delicious too . Oh yummmmmm! I had the seasonal gingerbread latte here the other day, and it was gooood. I got it with oat milk to make it vegan. The flavor was subtle and it wasn't sweetened much. Like any ~gourmet~ coffee place, the drink was pricey but it was very good. They have some vegan food items here too (I think it was the breakfast muffin that was vegan) but I didn't try any. Sat down to write a review for my favorite coffee shop and discovered I'd written a review several years ago. Dang, I must have been in a bad mood that day. Not the best to judge a place based on one experience of one item. Coffeebar is far and away my favorite coffee shop due to the fantastic coffee (I prefer the medium roast) and the great variety of healthy food choices. It's my go to spot whenever I'm in Tahoe or Menlo Park. I wish they'd open one somewhere near where I live in Lafayette. read more
