This definitely had a unique flavor due to the Jasmine, but the honey in the vanilla subtle out the taste perfectly. I didn't purchase any books, but there is a wide selection and variety to choose from. There's something for everybody here.

The name is perfect for its location. This is their second location, the other being in Hartford. When we visited on a Saturday, it wasn't busy at all that it felt like a great spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee. They had a lot of seating, inside and out. Story and Soil has a simple selection of teas and coffee, breakfast items and lunch. There were vegan options which were nice to see. They had a Seasonal Specials Menu on the counter when you walked up to order and they caught our eye. There was also a list of syrups too. The staff was very helpful with our questions about the menu and patient with us. We found out that they would be changing over the seasonal menu soon and gave us a small preview to anticipate for the next visit. Finally we decide with the Ether which was a delicious, floral London Fog latte with lavender, sage, and topped with cold foam. If this wasn't a seasonal special, I certainly would get this drink again. Second, we got an iced latte with rose honey syrup... it was absolutely yummy. The rose was subtle and the honey brought a rich caramel flavor. The coffee they were brewing was from Giv Coffee, locally from Canton, CT. We had a really great and delicious experience at Story and Soil. I can't wait to try more unique drinks and maybe try a vegan sandwich or burrito. Note that since the bookstore is on Main Street, it's not as easy to get to and parking isn't free (accept on Sundays).

We grabbed 1/2 dozen bagels, mixed, garlic and herb cream cheese, and a half pint of chicken salad. We had a couple not toasted and tore them to sip in the whipped cream cheese. We toasted a couple later in the day to make a few sandwiches out of! This place was packed, I recommend calling ahead, the customer area is tiny and does move somewhat quick depending on the orders, grilled items take a while as they have a small grill apparently (overheard to a guest waiting). Our stuff was cold so we got in/out quickly! Chicken salad was good, I added some hot sauce and gave it a kick on an onion bagel!!

We got a half dozen - 2 chocolate chip, 1 blueberry, 1 Asiago, and 2 plain. One CC bagel has only 2 chips, and the other 4 (see video and picture). I love blueberry bagels, and pretty much everywhere I go, you see blueberries throughout, and the color of the bagel itself is a lot darker than what we received. There were only tiny specks in these bagels. Disappointing. There was no chew, and they were kinda dense. If you want fantastic bagels, go to Chefs in Cheshire, or Olmo in New Haven.

I used to frequent the Wallingford location many years ago, so when I found out they opened a location in Middletown, I just had to go. My wife and I stopped here yesterday morning (a Wednesday) and got in and out super quickly. I kept it simple and ordered a glaze donut as well as a chocolate sprinkles donut and boy oh boy, I think Neil's has one of the best chocolate sprinkles donuts I've ever had. The top of the donut was completely covered and the dough on both donuts were so soft and delicious. Overall, Neil's Donuts is a dang gem and one of the best things Connecticut has to offer and such a great place. It looks like a cozy little donut shop, the staff have always been super friendly whenever I was here, and the food here it top notch and dang good. If you want a donut, this is the place you are gonna need to come check out.

I'm putting this night as complaint but a warning people since this restaurant does not often check the safety of their customers

Seed is open in Glastonbury and in Berlin. I went to the one in Berlin. The interior is super cute! They have comfy seating, with a little bookshelf. They also have bar seating. The art is colorful and inviting. It looks like they will begin serving ice cream soon. The girl at the counter was very patient as I studied the menu. I decided on the Banana French Toast Latte. This was very tasty, you could taste the banana and honey and for sure the cinnamon. After my coffee, I decided I should stay for lunch. I got the Garden Nova bagel. I got the cheddar bagel, it was soft and airy, topped with melted cheddar. It was generously filled with salmon, cream cheese, pickled onions, cucumbers, slow roasted tomatoes, and arugula. It was hearty and delicious! I had this at 12:00 o'clock, I didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. It was that filling! Decided to hunt down a few different locations and this one popped up in the hunt. Location is a small space in a little plaza. Staff was friendly, recommended the strawberry donut. Price was 2 bucks a donut, so towards the higher side. Donut was fresh, dense with a heavy sugar shell and a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Not bad, but I prefer the lighter yeasty style donuts than the denser, sugar laden ones. As a local donut shop, it's good. The quality is there, but the donuts are not my style. They are good classic dunker style doughnuts though.

My BF got an iced coffee, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We grabbed an assortment of donuts to try, since it was our first time here. Their cinnamon rolls are huge, and it was nice and cinnamon-ey which I love. I also got the cruller to enjoy later. Now, to me, a cruller is nice and airy with a hint of crispness in the edges and a moist center. This was more like an old fashioned donut made into a twist, and it is probably one of the best old fashioned donut I have had ever! Nicely glazed, but that dough ... chef's kiss! We also grabbed their chocolate frosted and a Boston cream to share with our son. The employees are super nice and helpful. Only downside is they only serve coffee - iced or hot. I wish they had an espresso machine for lattes and cappuccinos. 4.5 stars!
