Wow happy I found this place! The bagels here are top of the line! I ordered a cheddar everything bagel with green onion cream cheese. It was delicious. The service here was fast and staff was friendly. Restaurant was clean with plenty of available seating options. Plenty of parking availability here too.

I've actually been to both Seed locations and have really enjoyed both, but spent a little more time at this Seed as there's indoor seating (Glastonbury has a beautiful outdoor patio). As a bagel lover from New York I can be a little picky with bagels but I have to say their everything bagel is the best-- they add fennel (I think) which gives it such a unique flavor, on top of the bagels having a great dense texture, ideal toasting on the outside and thickness it makes it my favorite everything bagel. Their traditional lox sandwich ($14) is very generously filled with lox, cream cheese, and veg and capers and is wonderful with every bite. These bagels are great for sandwiches as they have just enough give to not squeeze out all the insides when you take a bite. All their other sandwiches look absolutely divine, and really creative, and I hope to try them again for lunch. In terms of ambiance, the staff was extremely friendly and the interior is very bright, clean, warmly decorated with some cool artwork and comfy couches and books. Plenty of tables and a guest wifi make it a nice place to read, study, hang out or relax with a friend.

We live in Middletown and we have a shortage of good bagel spots here. A couple times a month, we head to Seed in Berlin for breakfast. They have very good bagels, and a good variety of them, as well as other pastries, and a full coffee bar. They have premade breakfast sandwich combos, or you can build your own, using ANY ingredients from the menu. Be creative! It's fun to craft a new sandwich. Their Calabrian mayo is great, if you like a little spice. And I'm in love with my most recent creation, bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel, with green onion cream cheese. Their coffee is fantastic - I don't drink caffeine, so I get decaf, but they have a huge selection of creative coffee drinks, or you can craft your own. There is some seating, get there early to be sure to get a spot, or you can take it to go. There is plenty of parking! And the staff are always super friendly, with quick and accurate service. Check it out if you're in the area, or make a special trip to go there - it's worth it!!!

Seed Central, and wow, it did not disappoint! The place is beautifully decorated--so cozy and stylish, it makes you want to settle in and order everything on the menu. Then came the massive, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches with your choice of bagel. Each bite was bursting with flavor and sent me straight to flavor town! I tried The Nooner, which was packed with all the good stuff. I even got to meet the owner, who was a total delight. I told her I'd be back for those sandwiches again, and I definitely will be. If you're in Berlin or Glastonbury, Seed Central is a must-try! @seedeatsct #foodie #berlin #chamberlainhighway #ct #musttry #ctbucketlist #goodeatsinct #yelp #madetoorder

As big fans of the Glastonbury location, we were so excited to see they opened a second location in Berlin! These are some of the best bagel sandwiches you can find. Fun, unique flavor combos really shine here! Although they are expensive, the flavors really shine here. This is our "special treat" bagel sandwich. Their new location is gorgeous inside with a designated online order pickup area. They also have a selection of pastries as well. Personally, I'd skip the coffee here. Unfortunately, every one we've tried just hasn't been good. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice cold brew that was supposed to come with "cinnamon cold foam" and it was just whipped cream. As a coffee lover, there's definitely a distinction so I was pretty disappointed.

If you live in Hartford County, and love bagels and/or sandwiches, you've probably driven to Glastonbury to visit Seed. Well now, you can drive to Berlin too. Seed Central Coffee & Eats just opened in a plaza with some other businesses. Notice bagel is not in the name like it is in Glastonbury. Probably, because the Seed name has come to stand for great sandwiches, salads, baked goods and other foods. Coffee is a focus as well. And there was an interesting sign at the end of the seating area that said "Seed Dairy Bar." Mind blown emoji. The Berlin Seed immediately becomes one of the nicer looking CT places with bagels as a focus. There are two rooms with light colored woods. The room where you order and pick up, and the room with comfy seating (including tables and three cushy chairs) and art. There will be some fights over those cushy chairs in four kid families within two months. Guarantee it. For my first visit to this Seed, I stuck fairly close to the Seed basics. I ordered a Sausage Egg and American with Calabrian Mayo on a Cheddar Everything Bagel. The sausage, which I think may be from Willow Farm, is really top tier for CT Bagel sandwiches. It's a thick round of craft sausage. The bagel was good. The cheese and egg were well managed. I really liked the Calabrian mayo. It leveled up the sandwich. Seed has lots of opportunities for customization. I also tried part of a Sesame Bagel with spicy cheddar bacon ranch cream cheese. Not your Grandpa's plain CC. The top of the bagel was covered in toasty sesames. The bagel had a good chewy texture. The cream cheese tasted exactly like it sounds, in the best alchemist kind of way. I'm happy to live close to the new Seed. I will be there plenty. 5 Stars

Miss Figgy on a Cheddar Bagel
    Lauren B.

I stopped by Seed Central Coffee & Eats before a hike, and it was everything I needed. When it was my time to order, I was stuck between two sandwiches- The Nooner and the Miss Figgy. The cashier was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide which sandwich to order. I ultimately got the Miss FIggy on a cheddar bagel, which did not disappoint! The bagel was jam-packed (pun intended) with so many flavors like fig jam, sriracha, and house-made pesto. It was the perfect, savory treat and a great way to start the day! I will definitely be back!

    Miss Figgy

I am so glad I changed up my order last minute to try the Miss Figgy sandwich on an everything bagel. It was the best bagel sandwich I have ever had! And I'm from the Bay Area of California and grew up eating what I believed at the time, the best bagel sandwiches. My wife ordered the everything cheddar with the green onion or something smear. It was amazing! Please try this place. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible fresh baked on site cookies and muffins ! I got the Dubai cold brew and it was excellent! The staff was friendly and got me order ready quickly. The seating and space was super cozy but still had plenty of room if you want to work with a laptop or something. Definitely will be back

    Coffee cake

Mom and I stopped in for some breakfast sandos, coffee. We each got a make your own sando, both got breakfast bagels, with egg, thick sliced bacon and cheese. Bagels were nice and toasted with a slight chew. Bacon was a generous portion for each sando, and cooked just right, nice and smoky. We ended up with some coffee cake Togo, this cake is half topping and the other half cake. Crazy good! Chatted with the owner for a bit, really kind hearted woman. This place is outstanding! Next time I'm in town, we know where we'll be going!

Stopped by for a first visit Sat morning. Cute, casual ambiance and busy! We were glad to be able to get a table. Counter service was friendly and quick. Prices fair for what we ordered although the specialty sandwiches seemed high to me. Unfortunately the food didn't blow us away. Bottom of one bagel was noticably hard to bite through and both the plain toasted bagels were cold by the time they got to the table. Coffee and chai were very nice.

    We got the BEAT

Cute and cozy coffee shop! This is a hidden gem in the area! The sandwiches are BOMB-- bfast or lunch, always had a good sandwich. I'm such a big fan of local coffee shops and supporting small businesses, and every time I come back, I'm greeted with my name (I've become a regular now hehe) and I get a great coffee. My favorite is the cherry mocha with oat milk, the apple macchiato is good (it's a little on the sweeter side) and the Samoa (just coconut and caramel). The lunch sandos come w house made chips and a pickle. All their bagels and cream cheeses are made in house. Get the cheddar everything bagel or the habanero bacon! The owner is a sweetheart and the girls behind the counter are so friendly! If you're not a fan of the coffee, they offer to remake it or have you get a new one. I come in here 2x a week and it's money well spent!

Decided to hunt down a few different locations and this one popped up in the hunt. Location is a small space in a little plaza. Staff was friendly, recommended the strawberry donut. Price was 2 bucks a donut, so towards the higher side. Donut was fresh, dense with a heavy sugar shell and a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Not bad, but I prefer the lighter yeasty style donuts than the denser, sugar laden ones. As a local donut shop, it's good. The quality is there, but the donuts are not my style. They are good classic dunker style doughnuts though.

My BF got an iced coffee, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We grabbed an assortment of donuts to try, since it was our first time here. Their cinnamon rolls are huge, and it was nice and cinnamon-ey which I love. I also got the cruller to enjoy later. Now, to me, a cruller is nice and airy with a hint of crispness in the edges and a moist center. This was more like an old fashioned donut made into a twist, and it is probably one of the best old fashioned donut I have had ever! Nicely glazed, but that dough ... chef's kiss! We also grabbed their chocolate frosted and a Boston cream to share with our son. The employees are super nice and helpful. Only downside is they only serve coffee - iced or hot. I wish they had an espresso machine for lattes and cappuccinos. 4.5 stars!

It's not trying too hard, and that's exactly why it works. Feels like a spot where regulars post up, sip coffee, and take their time. No rush, no nonsense, ust good energy. And then the sandwich shows up... and flips the script. This isn't breakfast. This is a stacked, unapologetic morning statement. The Overloaded Egg Sando Griddled brioche bun, soft, buttery, just enough toast to hold things together (barely). Under that, a crispy hash brown doing the heavy lifting, adding crunch and soaking up all the goodness. Sausage brings that savory backbone, while the spinach scrambled eggs stay fluffy and rich. Then you get that creamy hit from the smashed avocado, melted smoked gouda layering in a subtle smokiness, and finally... the gochujang aioli. That aioli is the move. Sweet heat, a little funk, a little tang, cuts right through the richness and keeps every bite from getting too heavy. And let's be honest... Had to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to take the first bite. This thing is messy, stacked, and fully committed to the cause. Not first-date food. Not "eat it in the car" food. This is sit-down, take-a-minute, maybe-need-a-nap-after kind of food. The best part? The space balances it perfectly. Big, bold sandwich... calm, easygoing room.
