I had some coins that i had to sell and i called about 10 different stores. Coin connection gave me the highest price on the phone. Two days later i showed up at their store and they told me the price had dropped but they honored the price they had given me in the phone! I was so happy because in my situation a dollar is a dollar. The young lady who helped me " Jacqueline " was lovely. The owner came out and was so nice and so friendly. I wish I would have read End F.'s review before going here. I had 50 silver dollars. I got them for my grandpa before he passed away. I wanted to go see how much they were worth. Because I'm behind of my rent. The guy offered me $21 for each one of them. When I asked him how much they were worth he told me I'll give you $21 for them. Reluctantly I accepted cause my owner was on me about the rent. I sold 38 of them. I thought I can keep the other 12. But it wasn't enough so I had to sell them. When in the 2nd time the owner was rude no greeting. He didn't acknowledge me until I spoke up. He looked at the coins through one of them back at me. And said" I'll give you 20 bucks each that's all there worth." I wouldn't take anything of value there their policies to act like everything's worthless. I stupidly excepted cause I needed the money that day. They didn't even bother telling me how much they were worth. Come to find out I can sell them to another place for $34.75 each. They screwed me out of $700 They couldn't be honest with me. He specifically avoided telling me what they're worth. Only what they would pay me for them. Truth is they don't want to tell you what they're worth. So they can make the most profit on the purchase. I'd be happy to give them all their money back all $900 If I can get those coins back. But the owner wouldn't except that. The profit he made on deceiving me out of my grandpa's coins is to much to do the right thing. At this point I don't even want to sell them anymore now that I didn't know how it felt to have gotten rid of them. My grandpa was happy to give them to me when he did I felt ashamed to have to sell them. He made a shady deal, you'd think he would be willing to sell them back to me. Went in with a lot of coins. Old, U.S., all well worn. Wasn't expecting millions but of course as a layperson you always secretly hope for that holy grail of a coin. Called ahead. Even sent a spreadsheet that cataloged each coin, year, mint mark. Long story short, spent a decent amount of time there and felt that I was treated fairly. But within the first five minutes almost walked out. Owners/brothers got into a very unprofessional yelling match. In an office, screaming "@$$hole!," "f&cking @$$hole!," etc. Slammed the door hard enough to knock a picture frame off the wall. Massively uncomfortable but seeming not too surprising to the rest of the employees. At the end of my visit, after everything was calculated, one brother came over to check the calculations and ended up devaluing a group of coins. They're the expert, I wasn't going to argue. They're there to make money, too. But was there an ounce of bad mood in his evaluation? Who knows. But probably won't be bringing anything else around for appraisal without checking the volatility of the room first. read more

My dad passed and had amassed a fairly decent coin collection over the years. I took a sample of the collection to one of the larger coin dealers and was told there was nothing of value except the melt price of silver. I knew this was wrong. After researching other dealers in the Valley, I decided to call Coin Connection. I spoke with Todd who said to come in and he'd take a look. All I can say is that the experience was seamless and extremely fair. Todd looked at every coin, counted all of the silver coins in books and made a very fair offer. I donated a lot of items, including a gold Super Bowl coin since Todd indicated they like to give children a keepsake. I will find more items to donate to them. Besides coins, they have an excellent selection of jewelry at very fair prices. I highly recommend Coin Connection. They are honest, fair, very knowledgeable, and make you feel like part of the family. I will be going there to find some hidden gems. Side note: I had a Byzantine coin that Todd wasn't too familiar with. He said Paul is the expert. It was in really bad shape, but my dad got it when we lived in Africa in the 1960's. Not only did Paul give us at least 10% more than what I was quoted at the other place but he gave us a little "education " about the pieces we had. What a place ! I have driven by this place since I was a child . Over twenty years later I now have a son who loves coins ! His grandmother started him on this hobby and is very supportive .
