It used to be one of my favorite pizza places. Staff is great, service is great but the pizza has taken a turn for the worse. Most likely will not be back. Not the servers fault but asked for a few simple request like adding a marinara sauce or vodka sauce to a sandwich and was told no. On a previous visit I asked for some grilled chicken with a side of wing sauce and was told no by the owner. The server felt so bad and couldn't believe he said he wouldn't make it. I was told I could order a salad and add grilled chicken but I couldn't just order grilled chicken with wing sauce. I decided not to order and went somewhere else that day. The good old days of the original generation of colarussos is over. The new generation thinks they can just keep going on their name and the quality of food and service is suffering. After so many friends recommending this place to me and promising myself for so long I finally found an opportunity to try it out, and boy am I glad. Absolutely fantastic meal all the way around. Great waitress who was very friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly and it was made to perfection. So glad I ordered some pizza to go as my meal was so filling between the entree, side of pasta, bread and salad which was huge for a side salad, more like a mini antipasto. Hands down one of the best tasting pizzas in the area. Every time I go, I can't help myself from eating almost a full tray to myself. The white pizza is phenomenal as well. This is hands down the best place to get white pizza in Nepa. I always order a tray of double crusted white when I eat here and am sometimes a little nauseated but always leave with a smile on my face. The pizza is very rich! When you remove the first cut from the tray cheese literally gushes out in all directions. It has some nice seasonings on the crust too which I can't make out but think may include oregano. I can never eat more than one cut because it is filling and a lot of cheese but it is hands down one of my favorite pizza places. My brother ordered the fish and chips. He enjoyed it very much as it is one large piece of fish and fried to perfection. They also give you lots of fries more than pictured below as we had made a seperate plate of fries so he could have his fish cut on that plate. Very good atmosphere. This place will fill up on weekends and during lent! They have a lot of pasta dishes, appetizers, salads, and pizza. Good food have been plenty of times and will be back. Oh I almost forget to mention the bread is amazing and so so soft and delicious. Definitely get a bread basket ! You may get one with certain foods as complimentary but if not ask and worth a shot! Never had square pizza quite like this. My family made Sicilian style thick crust Sicilian . This is different but very delicious. Crust is about 3/8 inch thick , very light and crispy. I love their food and order from here quite a bit. The "to go" service is absolutely the worst of any place I've ever gone to. Every single time. The lady who's normally doing it is awful. You can see her run around like a maniac and get nothing accomplished every single week. Even if they aren't busy it sucks. Plan on sitting around for at least 20 to 40 mins for your food. Yesterday miss scatter brain came out after I waited for 30 minutes and gave my food to another guy . I had a funny feeling about it and asked the guy if the food was mine ? He was also confused and of course it was my food. I said lady u just gave him my food without saying mine or his or anyone's name. She mumbled some nonsense and went back to running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Hey colarussos ???? Oh my goodness...this is the best pizza in the world. Forget Chicago, forget NY (i've had them both!)...Avoca is where it is. We grew up on this stuff! My Grandmother lived in Avoca and when we visited, this was REQUIRED! My brother went to Scranton University and wasn't allowed to come home WITHOUT at least 6 trays of this amazing stuff. Even today if anyone is even NEAR Avoca OR Scranton, they are required by Sacred Family Oath to bring this home - and we now live in Virginia!! It has a tase all it's own and is beyond amazing. The plain cheese pie is sublime. You MUST try this - you will NEVER have anything remotely close. Please don't ever close! You'd take a piece of my childhood - and the BEST pizza - away! read more

This place is amazing. I went here for my birthday and times with my family. Its food is amazing. From their salads to their hoagies. The servers are amazing. They always seem like a friend. The decor is nice. Its can get a bit crowded, but if that's the case there is another one but it is quite a distance from this one. Both are amazing. This is definitely my favorite restraunt.
