Average cold stone ice cream place. Was good, but it smelled weird inside and there were 72927381826 employees that seemed to be walking all on top of each other, lol. They were all friendly enough though. Was a good experience with my boyfriend because we sat right outside which was nice, and the ice cream was good too. Came to have dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse across from Cold Stone. The wait was 45-50min for dinner so my party and I opted to have desert before dinner. I had tried cold stone some years ago but wasn't a big fan for some reason. I ordered a small Cookie Minster. It had mint ice cream, chocolate chips, Oreo cookies, and chocolate syrup mixed in it. I love how they make the ice cream in front of you and my daughter enjoyed the experience. I was very happy with my ice cream selection. Mt daughter had a small cookie dough ice cream. Cold Stone does not disappoint! This was my first time visiting this location. Service was quick and friendly, and our ice cream orders were perfect. We went after lunch time and there was no wait. All of the ice cream and refrigerated items looked fully stocked. They have both indoor and outdoor tables. This location is a bit smaller than others I have been, but I never see it too busy; maybe I always arrive at non-peak hours. Sometimes they keep that door opens, which on a good sunny day it's great, not so much if it's kind of windy or chilly or warm. It is true. You can indulge in glutinous sin but without guilt, because they also have low-fat and sugar-free options like the sorbet and such, and the non-dairy is a personal god-send for me: I love ice cream, I gotta have ice cream, but I am lactose intolerance. The ice cream is good but service is slow due to one person preparing the ice cream and one on the point of sale checking people out with a line of over 30 waiting to place their orders. The wait is daunting but then there are the tables inside and out have not been cleaned. The lack of attention to cleaning the seating and tables is an obvious point for improvement. Just had a terrible experience at the store in Beaver creek store during this scary pandemic time. We have going ever other day. They don't wear masks. They don't limit 1 person at a time and to top it off today they fill the mobile orders before customers in store. We stood there with several people coming in store. 2 people working then the boy does 1 of ours puts it in freezer while girl just stands him doing nothing. I just had the best, I mean the best and heart warming shopping experience at this cold stone in Apex. My friends and I were trying to surprise our great friend in Cary, NC, by sending her a surprise birthday cake. Being in California, we can't find a bakery anywhere in the cart/apex area that will make a photo cake and will deliver until I call this Cold Stone - their cake printer is functional, can make a photo cake within 24 hours and the staff, naming Maddie, were super nice, attentive and patient with me over the phone. Great! One big problem... the company doesn't deliver, BUT she told me about this delivery service 919 dine could help. Solved! Long story short, we end up running into various problems, and there were numerous phone exchanges back and forth (to a point I'm embarrassed to call so many times) but Maddie was very patient, friendly and helpful on every call. The store manager Daniel Rogers even called me personally to understand what was needed, walked us through the process and made sure that we were well accommodated! On delivery day, everything went great, the cake (looked exactly as we've asked for with all the special requests added in) was ready, picked up and delivered on time... my friend wasn't home!!!! LOL It was too hot to leave the ice cream cake on her doorstep, so they have to bring the cake back to the apex Cold stone! I called the store to ask for help, and Jerry at the store again was extremely patient, sympathetic to my problem and tried his best to help! He followed up with me throughout the process and the cake eventually got delivered and the birthday girl were pleasantly surprised! Mission accomplished!! Is one of the employees was a prissy braided brat who sat on her phone in the corner, instead of helping her coworker ring me out before my ice cream melted at the other table. Her coworker was nice, helpful, a little shy. But this young lady was not very professional and rather rude. Because instead of enjoying the comoany of my friends and our dessert, i had to wait for the other team member to finish preparing my friends ice cream and THEN ring me out. I really like coldstone. I don't go often (I am trying the whole diet thing), but when I do go the icecream is so yummy. For the past two years I have ordered my childrens' birthday cakes from this location and we have been very happy with the outcome. On the not so happy side the lines are always long and the staff is not always cheerful. I also do not like the sticky/dirty tables. I know that in the summer things get busy, but please staff accordingly. Also make sure your staff knows that you have to wipe tables down frequenly when dealing with a messy product. I am not hating on young workers, but it seems like coldstone hires a bunch of highschoolers and sometimes their social life takes a front seat to their icecream scooping. The location is great, but the service isn't too wonderful and the line moves incredibly slowly. I understand that that isn't always the staffs fault, but when it's 100 degrees outside, and NOT that much cooler inside the store, I'd rather not wait for 10 minutes to get ice cream. On my last visit there was no place to sit inside which was fine because they do offer outdoor seating, however, the tables outside were so incredibly filthy I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole. We visited Sunday afternoon around 2:30. They advertise signature creations however when we asked for ours in a cone as pictured, they said they did not have any. So we asked for a waffle cone, did not have those either! How can you advertise signature creations and not have any ice cream cones in stock? My husband and I both had fruit in ours, strawberries and blueberries. The strawberries were frozen, the blueberries were not fresh. Worst service I have experienced on 1/27/17. 3 workers would rather have a conversation with each other rather than help the 15 customers waiting in line. And since they ignored customers for 15+ minutes, closing was delayed. While sitting and trying to enjoy our ice cream as a family, one of the workers turned off the lights and served her friends who came in at close, free of charge. No professionalism.
