Two of us ordered steak and one had the lemon chicken with Mac and cheese. All of them came as ordered and in a reasonable time. Our salads were fresh and the dressings were good. The bread is always a hit. My steak was very good and cooked perfectly. The noise level was very loud, I guess because of all the people. We had a big party right next to us and that didn't help. I registered via telephone for the waiting list. I was seated about 10 min after I arrived. I was happy to have a comfortable, quiet table. Grabbed takeout from here recently for my wife and enjoyed what I sampled from her meal :) We pulled into a curbside to-go spot and let the restaurant know that we had arrived via text. It took a few minutes for them to bring the food out, but no big deal. My wife got a medium rare ribeye and I would say it was cooked reasonably accurately. Not a bad sear at all! She also got mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, and I sampled the former and they were OK :) I can definitely imagine the food being better if it was served fresh in the restaurant, but even as a to-go order, it wasn't bad at all. The sizes and portions are large. We were asked what sides do we want, as if they are included, but discovered at checkout that we were charged for each side Ala carte. Dad, his girlfriend, and I went Longhorn Steakhouse for Christmas Eve dinner after Mass and it was a nice experience. When we arrived, it was busy. The hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait and we were Ok with the time. Dad went to the bathroom and noticed a bunch of empty tables in the dining room that had not been bust yet, so the restaurant was short staffed for the holidays. We figured they allowed people to take off for the holidays. The bar area was also empty and had empty tables, so we told the hostess we would sit in the bar area as well if it was available. Luckily, within 20 minutes, a booth was available at the bar and the hostess sat us in the booth. The ambiance was Texas themed with portraits of cowboys and Indians, and western decor all around the restaurant. It had been a long time since I had been to a Longhorn Steakhouse, so I recalled the Western theme and the nice decor and pictures all around the restaurant. It definitely brought character to the restaurant which is why Longhorn Steakhouse is such a great place for lunch or dinner. Our waitress arrived and she was very enthusiastic and had a huge smile on our face when she took our order. She brought our drinks right away which were two glasses of Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir. Dad ordered a half rack of ribs with sweet potato and a Caesar salad. I ordered the Longhorn Salmon with sweet potato and a mixed greens salad with white Balsamic Vinaigrette. My dad's girlfriend just ordered the loaded baked potato soup. We all enjoyed our meals very much. My salmon was a good size portion and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato was wonderful and cooked just right with the cinnamon sugar topping and butter. It had a very nice texture as well. Dad loved his ribs and his girlfriend enjoyed the loaded baked potato soup. The salads were very fresh as well and tasted delicious. Our waitress demonstrated excellent customer service throughout the meal and checked on us on a few occasions. For a Christmas Eve dinner, Longhorn Steakhouse met the expectations for me and my Dad. We were very pleased with the food and service. The restaurant was busy and packed, and it was nice to see the manager buss tables and help clean up the restaurant to allow people to be seated in a timely manner. This shows teamwork among the staff and leadership to make the restaurant successful. Longhorn Steakhouse is a great place for a steak and a meal with family or friends. This steakhouse has been in Apex for sometime......however being a guy that loves to cook his families steaks at home.....largely because of the relatively high cost of decent steaks in a restaurant vs. a decent choice steak from a butcher's shop......we've never eaten here. Finally....our friends talked us into trying the Apex NC Longhorn Steakhouse. We (four) arrived during what could easily be called the "early bird" part of this Friday evening......4:30 and were immediately seated in a preferred booth by an attentive Hostess. Our server Anna greeted us in short order and gave us menus and took our beverage order(s). After giving us gracious plenty of time to study the well laid-out we ordered. Three of us ordered the 22 Oz. Porterhouse and my mice ordered the full rack of Baby Back Ribs. We each ordered a salad as one of the two sides included in our entrees. Second sides included "Loaded Baked Potatoes" and baked "Mac-n-Cheese Anna brought the complimentary table loaf of bread and softened butter to get us started. Yum.The ribs were as good as we've had anywhere that didnt claim to specialize in Bar-B-Que and were better than many restaurants that do claim to be Bar-B-Que joints......perfectly tender yet with just a hint of a nice "bark" so many bar-b-queens purests demand. The sauce was in the sweet side....but was delicious and plentiful. The salads were so fresh one might think that there was a garden just outside the restaurant......croutons with perfect fresh crunch and a full selection of salad dressing to satisfy all desires. The only miss might have been the porterhouse steaks. Although cooked perfectly (two-medium rare and one-medium) the strip section on two of the steaks were noticeably tough with an extraordinary amount of "gristle" . We reluctantly brought this to Anna's attention and she's resolved the issue......perfectly....no questions asked. The Manager double checked with us to ensure our satisfaction. This slight "blip" in our meal will not cause us to stay away from The Apex Longhorn......in fact.....but because of managements kind and understanding response to our issue it will encourage our return to enjoy this restaurant and its varied menu and professional management and serving staff. Came here on a Saturday night and the wait was 45-50min. I think we we're called right on time or slightly before the 45min wait time. Our server was attentive and very friendly. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin with the 8 grilled shrimp. I chose the Cesar salad and loaded baked potato. My daughter ordered the kids steak and fries. Our food came out fairly quickly and was fresh. I really enjoyed the shrimp and the garlic butter they paired it with. The baked potato was fresh and the toppings were as well. No complaints on the Cesar salad as well. The only negative that I must note is the big accident in the bathroom stall containing the baby table. I'm not sure how long it was unattended but it was very unpleasant to see when taking my daughter to the bathroom. In all, I would return to this location and enjoyed my dinner. read more

We expected the full parking lot being it was a Saturday evening and ready to wait. We were greeted immediately upon walking in by a group of young adults and seated right away. Mason, our server came over instantly. We ordered the onion tonion which was hot and came out really fast. It is a big serving too! My ribeye was so juicy and delicious. I forgot to order a Parmesan crust but I didn't need it! It was seasoned perfectly and tender as well! My baked potato came out just right, as in I didn't need to add more butter or sour cream like I usually do! Unfortunately we did not have room for dessert. One of my favorite places however when we arrived last evening it the host stand smelled like ammonia. It was very pungent and strong. It seems as though they were cleaning the tables with ammonia! She recommended the Firecracker bites with a salad appetizer, which came out the kitchen quickly. We ordered the Flo's Filet and a Ribeye steak prepared medium rare, spinach side, baked Russet potato, Sweet Potato, Mushrooms, and a garden style side salad. Josey's service was well done because the meal courses came out on time and in an unrushed pace even though the restaurant was full. They do not accept reservations and we drove all the way down from Virginia with a party of 9. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to place chairs at the end of the table to a accommodate our party because of a a fire code (despite there being only 4 other people in the restaurant) and would not allow us to move the tables together. On top of it all, my steak was tough too so this place is trash in my opinion. read more

I feel bad for the staff during peak hours. It gets very busy here however the food wasn't the greatest ( in my opinion ) the shrimp and lobster that people at my table ordered smelled a bit off. But the biggest down side to this location is how many tables they have packed into the restaurant. I understand wanting to accommodate more customers however, the tables are placed maybe 2ft from each other back to back making it a prime place for bumping elbows. This on top of one of the tables being right by the bathroom ( a high traffic area ) leads to not only the person sitting down at the table uncomfortable but also the people going to the bathroom uncomfortable. I think the establishment would benefit from less tables and just extending the wait time a bit more. read more

It was our first and last time in this restaurant . Saturday march 2 we had dinner and had very not friendly waiter who start collecting plates while we were eating ,do not ever ask for anything . She bring two Mac and cheese that we not ordered. But the main thing is that after few days I realised that they charge me more than I put and signed in my bill . I saw it just accidentally bc I was looking for one transaction in my account . I called to this place and someone on phone told me it will be returned. Nothing so far . This is calling fraud guys . Went here on Sunday night to use a giftcard we received as a Christmas gift (and also the two $10 extra gifts for purchasing during the holidays where you have to use it during a specific time in order for them to work). It was surprisingly busy - the hostess gave us an estimated 10-15min wait - we had about a 15 minute wait which was fine, we just had a drink at the bar. Once we were seated, we ordered once the waitress came by with the bread. I got the Flo's filet medium-rare and my husband got the T-bone. He got a Caesar salad and the creamed spinach. We were going to share all of our sides, so I ordered the side salad with bleu cheese dressing on the side for myself and the cauliflower au gratin, and the asparagus for us to share with his parm creamed spinach. From then, it seemed like our waitress thought I no longer wanted the salad because I ordered two other sides (ordering a steak gives you two sides, or a side and a salad). I thought I had explained that I wanted all of them (extra $$ and all), but maybe I hadn't so I just said never mind, whether it was coming or not after my husband had his salad for a while and it seemed like no salad was coming for me. It wasn't too long of a wait before the entrees arrived, and I requested A1/steak sauce. We were finished with our asparagus and half of the other two sides before we saw her at the table next to us and asked for the sauce again. Came in for dinner with the family. Haven't been here for a long time. It's a Saturday night, 30 minute wait, lots of people....so food must be great! We were finally seated at a very very wobbly table. Why wasn't this fixed?!?!? While we were having a lively discussion, the waitress appeared. As we were in the middle of something we didn't answer her initially when she asked how was our evening. We knew she was there but just needed to get something out of the way first. She visibly got annoyed, raised her voice several octaves and said "HOW ARE YOU THIS EVENING???!!" Uh...Excuse Me?!?! It's flat out rude to interrupt a conversation let alone a customers' conversation. She proceeded to take our orders for drinks and appetizers. When she brought our bread, she tilted the bread board & the butter slid off and rolled into the table. She just stood there while my son picked up the serving cup and placed the ball of butter back in it. We had expected her to take that away & bring us a new one. Nope. She left it right there and walked away. The food was pretty good for a chain restaurant. Salmon was decent. Spaghetti squash could've used more seasoning as it was advertised as maple butter but I barely detected the maple flavor. Steaks were pretty well made. Cooked just the way we liked it & they were flavorful and juicy. Another observation...I know it was busy...I know it was Saturday night...but there is absolutely NO excuse why there was debris all over the entire dining area floor. How hard is it to bring out a broom and sweep up every time you bus a table?!?! Takes maybe an extra 5 minutes. Same with the restrooms. Does no one do a restroom check?? There was no paper in the stall, the counter was dirty and wet. The trash was overflowing. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like...& maybe I don't want to know. When I turned the corner to go to the restroom, I almost ran into one of the waitstaff hiding there. She was texting on her phone. She didn't move either so we had to walk around her to get to the restroom door. Overall, I won't be back. Management obviously cared more about turning tables than about hygiene or health codes.
