I have been to cold stone near my OC area, but not this location before. Today, I went here with my boyfriend and his little brother. I got the green tea with Twix as my toppings. My boyfriend got rocky road which has chocolate, marshmallow, and nuts. My boyfriend's little brother got cookies and cream basically like Oreo in ice cream. Green tea ice cream was exceptionally creamy and rich, showcasing the delicate and earthy notes of matcha that are both refreshing and indulgent. It is smooth, velvety texture that melted in my mouth, making it a delightful treat on its own. Twix candy gave a crunchy biscuit and gooey caramel giving a fantastic contrast to the creamy green tea, adding layers of sweetness, texture, and flavor. I highly recommend it and would give it a solid 5/5 for creativity and flavor! My boyfriend loved his ice cream and would give it a 5/5 since his favorite part was the creamy chocolate base, which was rich and decadent without being overly sweet. My 17yr old daughter interviewed at this Cold Stone location and the experience was unprofessional and inappropriate. For approximately 20-30 minutes, the interviewers asked unnecessary and intrusive personal questions unrelated to the position, including whether she owns a car, what her parents do for work, and why our family is moving (not needed for an ice cream place). Only after this extended period did one interviewer say, "Alright, let me pull up the interview questions," which highlighted a lack of preparation and professionalism. When my daughter answered a question about her current pay at another job (including tips), one interviewer responded in a confrontational manner, saying, "C'mon now, you're not getting $30," while stepping into her personal space. My daughter left the interview feeling shocked and uncomfortable. I am sharing this to warn other parents and young applicants. Interviews especially those involving minors should be conducted respectfully, professionally, and with appropriate boundaries. read more

After checking out the menu, we decided on ordering two of their signature creations: One Smart Brookie and Surrender to Strawberry. One Smart Brookie- This starts with a cookie dough ice cream base. Cookie and brownie pieces were folded in. This was nice and rich with the brookie pieces adding a layer of flavor and texture. Definitely satisfying on the sweet tooth! Surrender to Strawberry- If you're a strawberry lover like me, this is the way to go! It has a strawberry ice cream base, with yellow cake pieces, strawberries, and whipped cream folded in. My family and I went in 11/28. We were helped out by the GOAT himself TAYLOR. Absolutely destroyed the customer service game. He is the Michael Jordan of mixing ice cream. I started choking from laughing so hard at his killer jokes! He was so nice and helpful that when I started choking, he offered me water and a complimentary cough drop. I tan next door to this place and every time I come in at night the music is BLASTING. So loud I can here in while pulling up. I just found out it doubled as a night club. Ive heard that the employees will blast the music after the owner leaves for the day. It never bothered me much until my son and I came in here and the music was so loud I could barely understand what the employee was saying. And they didn't bother to turn it down while my son was covering his ears because its so loud. I wouldnt be surprised if property management kicks them out because of this. I also would like to add multiple places in the shopping mall are planning to bring this issue to property management as the owner doesn't seem to care. Truly terrible service. read more

We sent four teenage Girl Scouts here after our dinner at a neighboring restaurant. I gave my daughter a $20 bill. I am absolutely 100% sure of this fact. My daughter came back with a change as if she had given them a $10. I reminded her to return and get the correct change. She said they were working on it and after about 20 minutes she came back totally upset saying that the employees would not help her and that they would not count the drawer - end of story. I called the store the following day and left a message with no reply. That was the most expensive ice cream I have ever purchased $16. This isn't rocket science in a quick draw account or a look at the camera would have confirmed that the wrong change was given. I understand how stressful it is to be a teenager these days and also have a job or, But to not offer customer service and do the right thing, and for an owner to ignore my phone call, Is horrible for a struggling retail establishment. I write this review so you can proceed with caution when visiting this location. Don't let them get you for a $16 ice cream and an upset child! Judging from the negative reviews on the site there are a lot of problems here at this location, and it probably starts with the lack of owner attention and customer service. I was very intrigued by the options they offered and was welcomed with so many smiles when I entered the building. They were very patient and I even tried many samples and they wasted no time to help me with recommendations and giving me the time. Id like to give my thanks to the Staff for being so supportive! The music is amazing and it really feels like when me and my friends come there, we can be happy. Normally I wouldn't bother posting updates for an ice cream store, but this location downright sets the diamond standard for ice cream stores. The quality is consistently amazing, and the owners could not have done a better job cultivating a friendly and welcoming environment. Most store owners leave it to their employees to make customers feel special, but Lan always goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The whole team couldn't be better either. I always feel recognized and like I'm more than just another customer from the second I walk in. I wish I could confidently remember everyone's names, because the friendliness of every person working there keeps me coming back. Felix and Andrew (I hope I remembered right, guys!) are there the most when I stop by, and it's always a pleasure getting to visit with them. I've been coming to this location on and off for what feels like almost a decade; I've seen it go through three different owners, countless cycles of employees, and I can easily say it only seems to get better every visit. If you like Cold Stone and are in the area, hands down, pick this one. If you like Baskin Robbins and are in the area, hands down, forget it and come to this Cold Stone instead. read more

I went in tonight for 2 love it size ice creams with one mix in each. I had a buy one get one free coupon that was emailed to me 2 days ago (Jan. 5) & that's the only reason I came in. After the employee got my phone number for my rewards, she told me a new total but I couldn't really hear so I just gave her my card. I was charged $16.80 which I thought cost more than what I ordered. I asked her if my coupon didn't work and she asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. The manager said that it should've shown up on my rewards, but that they would honor it. But then she saw that I was charged already and she said that she couldn't reverse it and that they'd honor the coupon next time & then she left to help another customer. I thought what I ordered without the coupon would be at most $13, so I was confused why I was charged so much. I wasn't given a receipt either, so i couldn't check to see what I was charged. I normally wouldn't complain, but money is tight right now and every dollar counts. read more

Located in a new-ish strip mall, this Cold Stone never seems busy and you can usually get in and out with a delicious treat fairly quickly. I went to Cold Stone often when they first came on the scene. Then the novelty wore off. And the price was a bit much (which keeps it from 5 stars). Lately I've found myself veering in once in a while when my ice cream cravings kick in. Today I got a "love it" size cup of coffee ice cream with caramel and heath bar chunks. I admit I do like their coffee ice cream. While the guy was doing his "mixing" I kept wondering if anyone ever buys heath bars at the store...you never see anyone walking around munching on a heath bar. Anyway, the nice guy making my treat piled it high and it was delicious! I thought about putting a tip in the jar and making him sing but decided to spare him the embarrassment. ***Story that has nothing much to do with the above review: I don't know if they still do it but it used to be a big deal to leave a tip at Cold Stone and the workers would sing a silly song, usually with a pained expression on their faces and not much enthusiasm. I often travel to Sendai, Japan and they have a Cold Stone inside Parco department store. I always go in there for some ice cream and request the workers to sing (they don't accept tips). They apparently are not asked very often because their eyes always light up and they sing and dance a big synchronized production like it's the karaoke world championship. It's both funny and fun. ***continuation of story: the Sendai location closed soon after they required workers to stop singing as there was concern it was unsanitary (possible spit from the mouth getting into the ice cream while they sang!). read more
