Perfect late-night stop when the ice cream craving hits. Great flavors, generous scoops, and a fun, relaxed vibe even after hours. Sometimes the best desserts are the ones you find when most places are already closed, and this spot definitely delivers.

Delicious gluten free and dairy free ice cream, the Mango Sorbet! The staff greeted us right away and suggested the mango sorbet. The decor is cute and fits the theme of Afters. The mango sorbet was creamy and light at the same time. Will be back!

Great spot to grab late night ice cream! They have lots of fun and unique flavors as well.

Came here with my daughter for a quick dessert snack. There wasn't a wait so the staff was quick and attentive. Very patient with us and let us try a few flavors before making a decision. I haven't been to an Afters ice cream in years so all I knew was milk and cereal and Cookie Monster. I tried their salty Oreo and that was delicious. My daughter really liked it so we got a single scoop, half half Cookie Monster. It came out to $7 in a cup no toppings. This location is in a busy plaza but there's plenty of seating outside and plenty of parking. The store itself was very clean and easy to navigate. All in all a good stop in for a quick bite of ice cream.

Definitely needed a sweet treat after eating some hotpot at Broth! My friend and I found this nearby and walked. We tried many samples but we ended up going with the first flavor we sampled hahah. I got the saigon coffee! I did sample their new matcha berry crunch flavor and it tasted really good but a part of me wished it was just plain matcha. I sampled the milk and cereal flavor and that tasted good as well!

    Outdoor area is nice.

Driven past this location several times. It appears like a busy location. I have big teens that have mentioned going here. With the first week of school coming I took my child and a friend after a playdate. The wait was short but the service was colder than the ice cream. I smiled and took the initiative to say hello because apparently it's not a word that is automatically said when they make contact. I always give the younger generation a pass because this may be their first job. This time was a little different, the young lady had a blank stare, we had a full stare down, she did not crack a smile or ask any questions (how can I help you? would you like help choosing a flavor? we offer samples, would you like one?, do you need a little more time?") there is endless options :) As we were all first timers, I said something to initiate the flavor debate and a young man that heard me, chimed in and started giving us his recommendations. He was so sweet and funny. We actually took his word and went with it. We then over heard the person ahead of us discussing how they do not accept cash, figuring out what payment method they will use. I wanted myself to use cash as I had a wallet filled with money from a cash job. This also added to the whole experience as negative. After I paid it was just like, next! There is something special about going to get ice cream with your friend when you are a kid. My parents would make it a fun even if it was the local Thrifty's ice cream. That may be skewing my expectations. We actually knew the people at the ice cream corner and would get greeted. I understand how much times have changed but for the cost of ice cream (everything) nowadays, every dollar spent has to feel good and worth it all around considering the choices in Cerritos. I would rather spend my money at: Wushiland Boba across the street (they are so friendly), Snowflakes on South (Super friendly) Brusters (love the hustlie from the workers behind the window) or the Dairy Queen (where they have Blizzards and you don't expect to pay top dollar for a scoop) --- There is room for real improvement... The best part of this location is the outdoor eating area. It was shady and quiet when we had our ice cream. Good corner spot and there is plenty of parking. I am unsure if I will return, the ice cream was good (reason for the 3 star rating) but Cerritos has options considering it cost $30 for 3 of us (the kids got one scoop and one topping).

This Thai tea ice cream brings back childhood memories. I was literally doing a cartwheel in the parking lot. I highly recommend everybody who likes ice cream. They have good service the dude is nice.

This is a popular SoCal ice cream shop. They have a lot of unique flavors and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately I don't get to visit too often since I am not from the area and the last time I went the ice cream was really runny and melted almost immediately. Otherwise, this place is usually really solid.

    biscoff cookie / Cereal milk

I've always been a fan of afters for their cereal flavor combinations. I came here on a Friday night with my husband and there was a line (it went by pretty quick though) This location is def a hangout spot for teenagers, younger adults. Food: 9/10 We ordered the cereal milk and biscoff cookie. The icecream was very creamy and smooth, with chunks of cookie pieces in each! Cereal milk was a milky flavored icecream with frosted flakes weaved into it. Biscoff tasted just like cookie butter! They were both not overly sweet but enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Price: 9/10 I got a split scoop. Id expect to pay anywhere between $5-6 for a single serving and about .75-$1 for another scoop. Ambiance: 6/10 I dont recall any seating inside, but there is open space inside and out side the store to stand and hangout.

I think the vibe Afters gives is some combination of 2015 summer, and post-KBBQ sweet treat. The lines here have died down quite a bit since then, so we were served right away! They have a ton of creative flavors, but my go-to anywhere is coffee, so I was glad they had Saigon coffee. My only complaint would be the flavor was a little too sweet for my liking, and probably could've had a bit more actual coffee flavor. This might be a plus for some, though! This is definitely a SoCal classic, and I recommend everyone try it!

I love a good scoop of ice cream and especially the flavor variety at Afters. A small store with a line out the door, but service is quick. Samples are the best, especially when almost every flavor sounds so good. My most recent visit was a tough choice as each one I tasted I would definitely order. I went with the most odd combo, but yet it worked so well...Jasmine and Mint! I am use to ordering 2 flavors as 2 scoops, but they allow the smallest cup to have 2 flavors. Amazing! I was plenty satisfied and loved that option.

The ice cream here is honestly horrible. It is aggressively, tooth-achingly sweet--to the point where it feels like you're eating straight corn syrup. If you're looking for actual flavor, look elsewhere; this stuff just tastes like "diabetes in a cup." To make matters worse, the consistency is a mess. It melts way too fast, turning into a sugary soup before you can even get through half of it. I also made the mistake of buying a tub to take home once, only to realize the expiration date was incredibly soon. For the price they charge, you'd expect high-quality ingredients and a decent shelf life, but it just feels cheap and poorly made. Save your money and your health. I won't be coming back. PS. It's a blessing in disguise that they're currently closed because a car ran into their front store.

Unfortunately we wont't be back because of the terrible service and unsanitary and hazardous conditions the owners keep this restaurant in. Such a disappointment. It was disgustingly humid, hot, sticky and stuffy. Felt like I was at a swamp. When I made a comment they just brushed it off and ignored it. How cheap are the owners to NOT turn on the AC when it's hitting 90s outside. Everything was sticky, the menu, the tables. The cushions on the seats were visibly dirty too. Right when you walk in the whole establishment smelled like shit. Literally like sewage, which smelled like stinky tofu. IYKYK. Restroom wasn't clean either, go figure. Another HUGE health violation occurred as well. There was a dog at another table sitting on the seat as if they're a paying customer. Clearly not a service dog. I absolutely love dogs but not at establishments that serve food that is sitting at the table. Especially if they're not working dogs, clearly this one was not a working dog. I would prefer not to have dog fur in my food. FYI this location violated health code regulations: "Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service dogs are allowed in restaurants, but they must remain on the floor, not on seats or tables. Health codes prohibit animals on furniture to prevent contamination." This whole environment of the restaurant and its unsanitary health violations makes me question how clean this restaurant is. Because if it's stuffy and terrible ventilation along with no air conditioning in the dining area how bad is it in the kitchen??? Food made with some sweat. Yum.
