Treats are always tasty. However, there are often teens running the place and it feels like you annoy them. It can create a rushed and unwelcoming atmosphere, so I'm not the biggest fan of that, but if you are out shopping not the worst place. read more

It wouldn't kill to smile at your customers. Seriously by far the worst service I have ever received at an ice cream place. Samples are not allowed (probably because of Covid). Asked for two different types of flavors to be mixed with strawberries. It looks like they just put the two together instead of actually working it to mix the two flavors together. The strawberries, mind you which I paid extra for, were garnished on top...After all of this, she had the audacity to ask if I would like to tip. Went in yesterday and got the Surrender to Strawberry "Love It" waffle bowl. It consisted of strawberry ice cream, yellow cake, strawberries, and whipped cream. This is generally my Go-To signature order, but yesterday was not quite the same. The mix didn't have enough yellow cake which made it tasted differently from normal. Maybe because other times I'd order a smaller size (like it) so the amount of mixture was just right. Instead, I ordered a bigger size, therefore it had more ice cream than cake? The waffle was just right with the crunchy texture and sugary taste. Thumbs up! Heads up fyi - no more taste testing during this time of pandemic. This location isn't busy - any of the times I've visited. I always and will continue to get their signature creation COFFEE LOVERS ONLY. I mean it's perfection in every way- coffee ice cream, caramel, almonds and heath bar crumbles. I'm not a fan of their cones,waffle bowls. So, a Love it size bowl will always suffice. This place closes earlier then it's posted time. This is the second time I went there before 10pm and they refused service. The night shift employee was very rude and lazy which is why they close early. If your going to have open hours you should serve within those hours of operation. read more

Showed up five minutes before closing on a Friday evening for ice cream to go. We walked in (it was unlocked and still "open") and were rudely told that they were closed and they would not be making us ice cream. Never experienced that before. Yup. I had the same experience as everyone else. We saw the people for maybe two minutes? They were nice when interacting with us but we sat there eating our ice cream for twenty minutes and never saw them again. It was like they left. I got the cookie sundae thing. It was so difficult to eat. I got a GIGANTIC scoop of vanilla ice cream which usually isn't a bad thing. But when the half-inch cookie is on the bottom and the spoons break under pressure..you don't really get to enjoy it. I ended up scooping out half my ice cream and putting it into a spare bowl so I could reach the cookie.. I think Cold Stone is just not for us anymore. read more

My husband and I live near this Cold Stone and we visit once or twice a month. The service has always been great here for us. I usually order our birthday cakes from here (twice a year for four years) and we have always been thrilled with the results. My favorite flavor is definitely the Coffee Lovers Only and one of the guys that works there always remembers us and strikes up a conversation while he makes our treats. He remembers personal details like what video games we like to play and how we like our orders. It's sad to see other reviews stating the service is bad. We've never experienced this. I have noticed as mentioned in a previous review that they disappear in the back after they help us if it's slow but when you sit at the table by the register you can see they are making ice cream or cakes back there. This place and La Michoacán down the street are our favorite places to go for our ice cream cravings. I highly recommend you give them both a try! read more

OK, I don't know if any of you folks have noticed, but it seems that the Baskin Robbins ice cream places are all going out of business. Well, I mention this because Cold Stone is to ice cream today what Baskin Robbins was to ice cream back in the '70s and '80s. Cold Stone is fantastic! What can I say? For starters, if you just can't make up your mind what flavor you want, they have pre-made recipes that you can ogle on the menu while you wait. OR, you can opt to make your own special flavors! Cold Stone has just about everything you could ever want to put in your ice cream (except the kitchen sink...hehe). They have sprinkles, chunks of candy bars, fresh fruit, coconut, syrups, and the list goes on. I like the cheesecake-type recipes, but also enjoy a good German chocolate cake flavor. Of course, there's mint chocolate-chip, but not your mama's mint chocolate chip! Oh no! Whatever you decide, the kids that work at these places MAKE your flavors while you watch. They scoop basic flavored ice cream out of the huge containers, the proceed to mix in whatever you like on a literal frosty cold stone counter. Plus, you have your choice of containers. Ones that you can't eat, and ones you can. I love the waffle cones. And they have chocolate coated waffle cones. Yum!!! All I can say is, next time you have a craving for ice cream, forget Freddie's and Ben & Jerry's - go to Cold Stone and start drooling! What a great way to end to your day - especially if it's been a stressful one. Talk about comfort food! I don't know who thought this idea up, but it's a far cry better than sitting around on a hot day at a family picnic with the ice cream maker and the rock salt turning that darn handle until your arm just about falls off and you can't turn it any more and you can't do anything while yore grinding away and no one wants to sit around being bored watching you turn that handle... I love the ice cream, but the service isn't great. It used to be great. I brought my nephew here today for the first time to get ice cream and the teen working behind the counter was rude. He rolled his eyes at my 7 year old nephew when he asked for an ice cream sample and showed no interest in helping him pick out toppings for his ice cream whatsoever. I'm sad because I wanted my nephew to have a great experience at an ice cream shop like I had when I was younger and the guy did not my the experience great at all. I work in the food service industry for a living and this is not how you act towards a customer. I feel horrible for leaving a bad review, I dont like to do that, but I was a little bummed out by it today. I wanted this to be a special experience for my nephew. read more
