    Froyo flavors

We have been fans of Menchies for years. We went frequently when our kids were much younger and have not been in awhile. Since the weather was on the 90's my husband and I felt like having a cool treat. Love the concept - choose your own froyo and customize with toppings and sauces. It seemed more expensive than I remember. I think the key is to practice restraint because those heavy toppings can add up. Lots of interior and exterior seating, pleasant staff and no wait.

Açaí bowl? For $13.99?? I am confused ...

This is not what's on the picture. It's missing half the toppings I paid for, and it's two child size scoops of açaí? The picture on the website is an actual açaí bowl.. this? Idk what this is supposed to be?

Who says you have to eat dinner first before dessert? Coming in on a Monday at 5:30pm, the place had both customers inside and outside as the sun was out. Sample cups off to the side and of course 14 yogurt options then the swirls of two flavors available too. It's a diy yogurt bar and self explanatory. Two employees were there, one at the counter who was helping customers and refilling toppings and another employee in the back who came out to take out the garbage. I came in the side door by the stairs to the movie theater and didn't see how much it was per ounce as that sign is in the front, 59 cents per ounce. I also wish there were more fruit toppings available as there were only six (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, cherries, pineapple, and chocolate covered strawberries) compared to other places that have kiwi and mango at times. Also, I saw waffle cone bits on the back counter near the sample cups and wasn't sure if it was a topping and had to ask. I don't think it cost extra but it was just unclear. There is a space for community event posters to be put up and chalkboard for kids. Even toys as well, if you ask the front counter. I thought it was a cool touch! Convenient location and serves everyone so even picky eaters can go, great for kids as I saw mostly parents and their children here during my time.

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!

On Friday k come in ready to try a few things and the owner snaps at me and tells me why she doesn't understand why I thought they made it on a Fridays, they've only ever made it on Saturday. I explained we saw the paper and she said no that was for something else. I then SUGGESTED she put up a sign explaining that tanghulu was made only in Saturdays and she started arguing with me about why I was wrong. I again explained it was a suggestion. At that point I should have just walked out, this store is only open like 4 days a week and the days it is opened they barely sell anything! My friends play an Avatar based d&d so I got some of these candy games for them and we got two parfaits (one raspberry chocolate one strawberry.) we told her we wanted our order to go. She handed our food to us without lids and we had to ask for them. My ice cream was okay, it was vanilla soft serve, with strawberries, and strawberry sauce, nothing crazy (but better at McBees!) but my partners was GROSS! The raspberry was overpowering and even though it didn't list coffee it had a STRONG flavor of coffee. I hate coffee. We ended up throwing his away it was so gross! TLDR: the owner is rude, they only actually have a menu on Saturday and get samples of everything because some stuff doesn't taste very good

It's a fun, unique place with great staff! I also love that they celebrate Pride Month and support LGBTQ+. My eye immediately caught the huge wall art inside when I entered. It's beautiful! They also have a gashapon station and mini crane game. Plenty of inside seating with some outdoor seats. They have one kiosk to place your order, or you can talk to the person working at the cashier. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They told us the man working in the kitchen only works on Saturdays, which is when he makes special treats like the Ube Japanese cheesecake! This is a good one! It's very light and delicious, a perfect treat for Ube lovers. Love matcha? No problem, they have so many matcha flavored treats. I went with the mini taiyaki matcha drizzle. It has a delicious Bavarian cream filling with matcha soft serve. Whoa - so good! I liked getting the mini taiyaki because I wanted to share. My husband enjoyed their coffee cold float! Their coffee is from down the street, so it's local! And my daughter loved their chocolate taiyaki with Oreo crumble. Their soft serve is so creamy - yum! This place is for those that love treats and matcha on the sweeter side, not the bitter/hint of sweet. These people know how to make delicious sweets. We'll be back!

If you like exotic flavors with that Hispanic flare, then this is the place. I was very happy to find out that my all-time favorite flavor Nuez (pecan) was one of those flavors. Eloté or corn is my 2nd best favorite along with Pistachio and Mint chip not too far behind. There are multiple friendly ladies behind the counter ready to help you and they have tons of other flavors. Just hard to pry myself off my current favorites. They also have other frozen treats as well as churros near the checkout counter. Parking is ample and it's easy to get in and out of the lot. Not quite as unique as the flavors mentioned above but these were still out of the ordinary and very delectable. My favorite is the huckleberry oat crisp with foraged porcini. My parents had the dairy-free strawberry and coconut water sorbet and hazelnut cookies and cream in a waffle bowl. My mom is usually indifferent to ice cream but she said this was exceptional.
