Do not go to Cold Stone Creamery! I took my kids to our local Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream. This is a very high traffic location. My kids got a small shake and small ice cream, each about $6, totaling about $14 with tax. The screen on the credit card machine was busted. I entered my pin number when requested, the transaction seemed to proceed as usual. I did not receive a receipt, but wasn't too worried about it. Two days later the charge posts for nearly $70! I call the location immediately. They say their manager just quit, and so there is nothing they can do about getting us a refund. I asked them if this is a typical or unique occurrence, they tell me this has been going on for some time. It happens a lot, and they've been requesting a replacement for their credit card machine for months. They tell me to contact my bank. My bank says I really need to contact their corporate headquarters. I called their corporate headquarters, and though no human would answer, I left a thorough explanation with their messaging service. Still no response. So, Cold Stone literally stole almost $50 of our money. And seemingly will not take any action to give it back. Their product is certainly overpriced already. But if they're going to just take whatever money they want anyway, there is no price that makes their ice cream worthwhile. read more

This is tough because the product was delicious but the store in Zona Rosa was filthy! I had a kids cup of Strawberry blonde! So good! Priced reasonably for an ice cream shop of that ilk. But I could not wait to leave and wash my hands! Everything from the doors when you walk in to the counter where you order, to the credit card machine and the tables were oozing with sticky ice cream and handprints. And they were out of sanitizer. I have had amazing experiences at Cold Stone but this location recently has become something else. I ordered 4 custom cakes - large round strawberry passion and three petit cakes to be picked up five days later. On Saturday evening, I arrived to pick up my order. I was surprised and not pleasantly to see that the three petit cakes were not petit, one being a large round which they pushed on me saying, "this cake would be $40 otherwise but you are getting it for less." If I wanted it large round I would have ordered it that way. Also the topping were laid out sloppily. The strawberry passion cake, the most important cake (the birthday cake) did not have any strawberries on it nor the crumbs around it. The Happy Birthday looked like the font use in The Shining "murder" sign. They said they we experimenting. I did not touch this cake. It sits in my freezer. I paid a lot of money for this. My husband put an online order to this location because they have that feature on their website. When he went to cold stone to pick up his order under their "online order" placement near the register the lady working asked him what is the name of the order and then decided to ignore him and went to help the long line of customers there. Then another coworker came from the back and asked my husband what was the name of the online order and he gave the name, but the employee stated that unless he was an uber eats or door dash employee they do not receive regular online orders. Even though in front of their shop it even has a place reserved for cars to park for online orders. No where on the website does it indicate it was only for Uber Eats or Door Dash - my husband had to wait 30 minutes for our order to be made when the whole point of online ordering was to get our order faster. Service was awful and clearly they need to take down the option of online ordering off their website. Cold stone hire more employees!!! There is always a HUGE line with such long wait times just for ice cream. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I only get cold stone 1-2x a year. Their cake batter ice cream is unmatched anywhere else but overpriced and I have never been impressed with customer service here. I ordered on the app. My first disappointment was that you can't order for same day pickup. I ordered on a Thursday and went in on a Friday. Well I never actually went "in" because although it was 1:40pm and my order was supposed to be ready at 1:30- keep in mind I ordered a full day ahead of time. the shop was closed. Locked up. Lights off. Business hours posted showed it was within business hours. How is no one there so late in the afternoon? I couldn't reach the local number so had to call corporate. Waited on hold forever- finally just put in for a call back. Got a call back that required more calls from them. My credit card was charged so I had to do everything in my power to get my money back. Several phone calls later a local employee calls- laughing! Laughing like it's all a big joke. No explanation given until later when a manager emailed me to apologize. The employee slept in. Slept in until 1:30pm and didn't open the store at all. I love my cake batter but it's not worth all that. Go to a different cold stone if you want ice cream. read more

No issues were communicated so I assumed all was well, but when I went in for pickup-I was given no cake, given no status on my order, and left standing around for half an hour while employees stared at me like I did something wrong. (Other than the man at the front, he was very polite the entire time and was the only one to apologize for our inconvenience of being ignored for so long by other staff.) Finally after 30 min, the "district manager" arrived to the store, with a snippy attitude towards me to tell me that my cake wasn't done. When I asked why it was not communicated to me before pickup, she stated "I don't know, I'm not the one that makes the cakes!" Eww. They were so disrespectful to me after I only waited patiently, without complaining, in the store for half an hour. All while my toddler was yelling about cake and ice cream. To top it off- they couldn't process my refund in store ($55) and I had to go back and forth with the regional manager for over a week to get my money back. I am horribly disappointed. I bought a $31 birthday cake for my husband and it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. The cashier looked smug and sort of giggled under her breath, when she handed it to me. It was all white icing, which was smeared all over the cake base and with baby blue lettering. No design, no pipping, just crap. The handwriting looked like a 13-year-old boy wrote it. It looked like they forgot to put the '28th' on the cake and squeezed it in where they could fit it. I had to go to hobby lobby and pick up a cake decorating kit, just so I didn't have to give the embarrassment of a cake to my husband.
