This ice cream was such a fun surprise! It actually tasted like the cereal, not just the sweet marshmallows. I don't know how else to explain it except for that it tasted like "grain" in a good way! It was like the milk and the cereal all in one bite but in ice cream form. It was such a fun food experience. Also, the customer service was great, I was offered multiple free samples before choosing my flavor. Is it the cutest ice cream shop around, no, not at all its a generic chain but, this was a unique limited edition flavor that made the visit worth it.

Cold stone creamery! Ahhhhh! This place was delicious the ice cream was great. The staff joked with us and our food was out quick. You can sit inside or you can leave but both are great. We chose to leave and sit outside the Cheesecake Factory which has an amazing Kansas City plaza fountain and some great seats. If you want ice cream and your in the area definitely come here.

Ice cream was great! Service was a little different. This location is on the plaza and on a nice day there is sure to be a line. After ordering my ice cream, the man made it handed it to me.. then walked away and helped another customer. Then the lady making the person behind me did the same thing. Me and another person was just standing there confused. The lady picked up our confusion then proceeded to check us out. I'm not sure If this is their norm or not.

I'd rather have a kidney stone than a Cold Stone. They never ever make me cream. Some creamery. I'm not sure why this place is so popular. When we came there was a long line. We waited for a while, but after seeing people get their orders done incorrectly and rude service we had second thoughts. We split our ice cream and it was awful as always. My girl was the only reason we set foot in here. Then I took her to a real place (Miami Ice) and she said she's never going back to Cold Stone. Let's hope.

It's been a long time since I've had Cold Stone and to be honest, it wasn't even my first choice, but it was the closest to my house, open past 9pm. We arrived just in time to watch 2 families enter ahead of us, and I knew we were in store for a bit of a wait, but that is what you get at Coldstone, custom made ice cream made-to-order. Yes, we waited longer than we would have at other styles of ice creameries, but the girls behind the counter were working hard, and building strong forearms in the process. My ice cream was delicious, my cone was crispy, and my appetite was satiated. Keep on scooping and I'll be back.

Great location nestled in the Plaza! Extremely friendly staff with a very clean and inviting atmosphere. Their menu is packed and if you don't know what you want you will have a headache prior to brainfreeze trying to decide. They have the cake batter series....beware!! Go with a small weight watchers... you've been warned!!

The food sucked. Ice cream was way too soft and melted quickly. Toppings were not chopped small enough. Overall, don't need to ever go back.

Quick service. Made right. Nice and cool inside. Clean. They disinfected the tabletops often.

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they did not sing a song and I thought you were serenaded at ColdStone.

To step through its threshold is to surrender to the siren song of warmth that curls from the oven like a whispered secret. I have made it my pilgrimage to traverse the entirety of their menu, a culinary odyssey that has yielded no false steps, only a symphony of consistency that borders on the miraculous. Each offering, from the flaky, golden architecture of their pastries to the robust, honest comfort of their savory fare, is a testament to the artisan's hand. Here, affordability is not a sacrifice of quality but a generous invitation, a rare confluence where the exquisite meets the accessible. There is a certain magic in the air at McLain's, a sweetness that feels woven into the very fabric of the establishment. It is a place that understands the language of comfort, speaking it fluently in the dialect of a perfect crust or the rich, dark notes of a expertly pulled espresso. It is perhaps no surprise that such a bastion of authentic delight has garnered a reputation that extends far beyond our local borders; if the standard of excellence is high enough to grace the plate of Taylor Swift, then surely, it is more than enough for us, the grateful residents who claim this treasure as our own. Yet, beyond the flour-dusted counters and the glowing glass cases, my deepest admiration is reserved for their spirit. In a world that often measures worth in cold, transactional metrics, McLain's chooses to honor those who pour themselves into the future of our community. As a teacher, I feel that recognition in the small gestures, the welcoming nods, and the genuine appreciation they extend to educators. It is a profound kindness, a recognition that the work of shaping minds requires nourishment, both intellectual and literal. They understand that a classroom is a marathon, and they act as the essential pit stop, providing the fuel that keeps the light of inquiry burning bright. To dine at McLain's is to participate in a ritual of belonging. It is a place where the passage of time is marked not by the ticking of a clock, but by the turning of the oven trays. It is a reliable heartbeat in the neighborhood, steadfast and true, offering a reprieve from the clamor of the outside world. Whether one seeks a quiet moment of reflection over a cup of coffee or a celebratory feast that honors the simple, profound joy of eating well, McLain's remains an unrivaled steward of taste. It is not merely a bakery; it is the living, breathing soul of Waldo, a place where every bite serves as a reminder that some things in this life are exactly as good as they ought to be.
