The Founder's Favorite was loaded with sweet cream, ice cream, pecans, brownie pieces, fudge, and caramel...rich and satisfying. We also tried the Oreo Overload, which had plenty of Oreo cookies and chocolate chips, packed with flavor. Another favorite was the Brookie, a great combination of brownie and cookie dough. Last but definitely not least was the Mud Pie Mojo, made with Oreo cookies, peanut butter, roasted almonds, and fudge, it was indulgent and delicious. The inside was fairly clean and well organized. They also offer cakes and cookies for sale, along with pints of ice cream. I liked that they have new plant-based options, including chocolate almond milk ice cream made with Silk. Can you say Choco taco??? What an AMAZING treat! So much better than the original. We went on Sunday afternoon and there wasn't very many people inside. It was nice and peaceful. The two young people behind the counter were so sweet, just like the Choco taco! I don't know what was sweeter!! If you haven't had a Choco taco you gotta go get one. They are premade and in the freezer with the ice cream cakes. Oh and if you ever want to try an ice cream cake, I highly recommend "A Cheesecake Named Desire." We bought this one for my daughter's birthday and boy it was soooooo delicious!! We walked in late at night around 9 pm. I noticed some crumbs from the toppings on a lot of the tables. Other then that the place was pretty decent. My two girls got a scoop of ice cream. Then my oldest daughter began ordering her brothers birthday cake. He wanted the kitchen sink in his cake for sure. The employee was a bit overwhelmed but handled it well. Does management even care here? 3 bad experiences at this place now since the new year. This most recent experience we ordered 4 "Gotta Have It" portion sizes... and literally 2 out of the 4 appeared half full. Weighed out the actual ice cream and they were roughly 9oz each after subtracting the weight of the container. Also, the workers were really slow at making tonight (5.19.21). I mean it would be one thing if they were making a big batch, but is seemed like the workers didn't know wha they were doing... maybe it is some new staff? Just FYI cotton candy ice cream really isn't a substitute for marshmallow ice cream and it DOES NOT taste the same lol. For reference this was the Camp Fire Ice Cream so it has graham cracker, pie crust, fudge, etc. I'm not sure who thought cotton candy would be a good substitute but it's not. This is a typical Cold Stone with about 15 tasty flavors of ice cream and loads of mix-in options. All the pre-designed/specialty ice creams we've tried are fantastic! My sons love Birthday Cake Remix and Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. I like the one with coffee ice cream, peanut butter, fudge, and almonds. The downside of the specialty creations is that you can't buy them with coupons. If you join the Cold Stone Club, you receive monthly emails with BOGO offers. The offers, though, are only for ice cream with one mix-in. Bonus... you can buy discounted gift cards at Costco. Use these with the BOGOs and you're getting your afternoon summer treat at a great price. I visited this location during an afternoon downtime. It generally takes awhile for them to mix your creation, but we were the only ones in the store so it went fairly quickly. They went back and forth about 3x about it, until the young man went into the back and found it. He stated he was sorry said. it was a seasonal item and was unsure. I asked for a Pint size mix with cheesecake ice cream and the butter pecan I had asked for prior. Another young lady asked to ring us up before our ice cream was ready for us so I paid. After we received our items drvehone, we started to eat our ice cream, no butter pecan was in mine let alone one of the toppings I had asked for was. barely in mine as well. Here's the thing, we paid $24 for (2) Pint size ICE CREAMS! I expected to get what I paid for at a minimum. The service is a huge factor you should work on as well. I was really irritated as I had not had Cold Stone in a very long time like almost a year and was looking forward to finally grabbing some. It was a birthday treat too, so I was truly dissapointed. Talk about COLD. 2 stars. This was one of the worst Cold Stone's I've been to. I stopped coming to Cold Stone a long time ago because the ice cream is just way too overpriced for your serving. At our wedding we had a 'mock' Cold Stone station setup, and it cost us less per person and tasted just as good. Plus it was all-you-can-eat! I rock the buffet that way, even at me own wedding. We are in Las Vegas after all. The store was super busy I'm guessing because it was a hot summer night. Line was nearly out the door. The wait was just too long, and they had four people behind the counter taking orders and 'creating' ice cream treats. It took a good 20 minutes to finally reach the front where someone would finally greet us. Did I mention the inside of the store was HOT? Like damn, it's an ice creamery, is your AC not on? Fans were going but it felt like warm air was circulating the entire place. Only place that looked cool was inside the actual ice cream coolers. Surprisingly and thankfully the ice cream wasn't melting on us. It was a while since we'd been there so our order consisted of something the three of us (Wifey, lil' one, and I) could share. We stuck with a Love It size (their largest) of one of Cold Stone's signature creations, the Strawberry Banana Rendezvous. Sounds sexy...but well, it wasn't. Lactose Viagra couldn't help this flavor get it on. Why was this flavor so flaccid you ask? Lets start with our Cold Stone flavor creator. Our person was obviously new because when we placed our order, she had NO clue how to make it. She constantly looked over our shoulder at the signature menu to find the ingredients. No big deal I say. Here's where it gets silly. She starts with the strawberry ice cream base, adds a little serving of graham cracker pie crust, and literally (LITERALLY) two small strawberries. She screws up and adds regular chocolate chips instead of the required WHITE chocolate chips. I mention her mistake and she apologizes. I tell her nevermind we've been waiting in line too long so she can just proceed. She runs to the back, gets a SUPER GREEN banana and continues to cut it into chunks in front of us and add it to our creation. I had to stop her there. "Miss, you realize that you are putting an under ripe green banana into our ice cream." "Sorry, I don't eat bananas so I don't know how they taste." Holy $h!+balls....are you serious? Don't eat bananas? Have you even eaten Cold Stone ice cream? Pretty sure they should teach you how to create items and how they should taste. At this point I'm near fuming. She takes out the green banana from our ice cream, looks for a less green banana (the one she finds still has a hint of green), cuts it up and puts it back in our ice cream. Now the ice cream is melting thanks to it sitting on the marble too long in a warm room. She finishes mashing our creation together and puts it in a cup. I'm at the counter and our Strawberry Banana Rendezvous is turning into a milkshake. I look in disgust and pay the lady. Nearly $8! 8 friggin' dollars! No wonder half these places closed down when the economy turned sour, total luxury buy. I'm better off going to Albertson's when Blue Bell goes on sale for $4 a half gallon. We get outside to sit and eat our 'creation'. For three people, it was hardly shareable. There just wasn't much ice cream even in its largest sized cup. I could have eaten the 'Love It' size by myself. Tasty? I think not! Strawberry Banana Rendezvous left me hangin'. Ice cream was runny, graham cracker crust got soggy, dark chocolate chips didn't match well. Strawberry pieces were SOUR! I hate that. Hate it. Banana? Not. Sweet. At. All. In fact, our ice cream had a tinge of that under ripe bitter banana taste to it because of the green banana our person put in our ice cream before she fished it back out. I finished the last of it just so we didn't have to take it home. Utter and total disappointment. Waste of time and money this go round. From now on I will go back to the freezer section and choose from the hundreds of better tasting ice cream available to me for an even better bargain.
