This Cold Stone is a far cry from some others I've been to in other states/towns. The service is lacking. We went here at 9pm on a Friday night...the line was backed up to the door. I believe the owner(s) were there the whole time, but only emerged from the back after we had paid. There were 2 employees taking orders & a male associate cleaning up. The best thing about Cold Stone is the ice cream & add-ons, aside from that, you're more apt to find one with way better customer service than the Mansfield location. read more

Good ice cream, but hardly any seating, especially inside. Its in a nice area in Mansfield Crossing. Alright, but nothing to rave about.

if there was a no star rating I would choose it. This is a disappointment to say the least. My son has a gluten allergy and we went in to have order a custom cake of vanilla ice cream and peanut butter mix ins.....simple. Other locations have done it out of state without issue. We were told the custom cakes have to have cake layers and the manager will yell if it doesn't. Sad, since the web pages say otherwise and an icecream cake is an ice cream cake. This review has nothing to do with the ice cream - Cold Stone is what it is, if you like their ice cream I'm not here to change your opinion on that - This review is about the people that own the place. I have been there 4 or 5 times where there is a long line and the owners just stand back and watch as younger kids (HS-age) work as hard and as fast as they can. One time, I watched the male owner basically yell at a girl with the place full of people and made her cry. I would urge you to avoid this coldstone in Mansfield. The staff is rude, there is almost never an adult present in the store and when he was there he was rude and unwilling to provide customer satisfaction. I ordered a cake online . The website has you choose store then provides prices and order. The cake I ordered was ridiculous at $30 but I wanted something special for my mom. Got an email stating that the Mansfield store didn't confirm order so I should contact them. So I did.. Took about 10 minutes of the employee on the phone relaying my conversation to someone else to finally confirm my order. Go to pick up order and again only teenagers in the store and girl charges me $36.. That wasn't the price on line.. That's the price ; yadda yadda. So I go home & print out online order and bring it in as soon as they open next day. Owner is there with coat on cuz I'm sure he isn't staying. I calmly explain the discrepancy in price and he tells me he doesn't honor online pricing...I explain how I chose his store, they give a price, and state nothing about the price may be different in store. He repeats he doesn't honor online prices. I say I will never do business there again and he says ok. Really? Great business'man' not. Find someplace else to do business! Ordered a custom cake for my husband's birthday. Though charged for the extra toppings I requested, when we cut into the cake, there were NO toppings. I called the store on two occasions and was told the manager wasn't present. I went in an spoke to the manager. Not only did he not apologize, he told me I would have to bring the cake in if I wanted them to do anything. I then sent an email to corporate offices, who forwarded it back to the manager, who still refused to do anything. I will not be frequenting Cold Stone again. So disappointed! read more

The ice cream was fine but our most recent experience here was horrible. The manager was so abusive to his staff it made it VERY uncomfortable for the customers. Not the kind of atmosphere I want when going out for an ice cream treat. And even worse for the poor "scoopers" who have to work there every day. I won't be going back again. read more

If an hour back I would have written this review then I would have not given one rating even. Since I experienced this rudeness second time it drove me to write a review. Now here is the owner lady and the man who i always found uncourteous, rude in their behavior every time I visited them...but who cares if the ice cream is good but this time it was the last straw. I had asked for a family sized ice cream to one of the gal the same way as I used to last year. Now suddenly this gentleman pops up and tells me that I can't order two ice creams in the family sized pack. I wouldn't mind if somebody told me there is change in their operations and they no longer entertain my type of requests politely. This rude man spoke as if he did a favor to me by allowing this gal to entertain my two different ice creams. Now, Soon after I stepped out I could see this jerk pouncing on the little gal who did her job. It's not a good way of eating ice cream when a gal gets scolded. I went to Mansfield Cold Stone with a couple friends for a treat. We ordered and then went to the seating area to eat our ice cream and chat. The music was so loud we could not hear each other so we asked the manager if they could turn it down a bit. He said "No." We didn't want the music turned off, just down enough so we could hear each other. There were no other customers in the store either. The seating area was trashy, the tables not wiped down and the place looked pretty trashy. Plus, their ice cream is full of chemicals. I knew going in it would probably not be the place for me. This experience confirmed that. I was very disappointed and will never go to another cold stone again. Better to go to a local, truly hand made ice cream shop-like Uncle Ed's in Rehoboth or Bliss Dairy in Attleboro. read more

I am a huge Coldstone Creamery fan. Their Sweet Cream ice cream is the very best. I have been to several over the past few years. This Coldstone is terrible. The owner/manager just stands at the counter watching the empolyees as they scoop. I believe he was watching to make sure they didn't over portion anyone. The waffle cups (the reason I go) are paper thin and tiny. When I ordered my usual "Everybody's" to go he gave me a tiny (salad dressing sized) cup of chocolate chips as we prefer to just sprinkle a few on top rather than have them mixed in. The Coldstone in Burlington is by far a much better shop. This is the cheapest and most unfriendly Coldstone I have ever been to. The waffle cones were not only tiny but all burnt as well. Yuck! My husband and I ordered a brownie sundae and a lava cake sundae which we discussed while eating had neither warm cake, warm brownie or hot (temperature) fudge - very disappointing as to the store signs advertising them. I was halfway through when I pulled a long hair out of my mouth from the sundae. I approached the owner who only wanted to give me another one to replace it, but would not refund my money. I cannot eat 1 1/2 sundaes. He was very rude and made no other offer such as a discount on a future visit. I have never seen anyone in retail food service act so ignorant. read more

I have visited this store frequently since its opening few years back. On my most recent visit on Nov 1, 2013, I had the worst experience at any store in my whole life. Though servers were polite but owner who was also there was rude, arrogant and had no sense of customer service. Followed up with corporate office and in return received email from the owner which was nothing but showed more rudeness and arrogance and no concern for customer satisfaction. Instead owner wrote 'take your business elsewhere'. Not going back to this location. I like Cold Stone Ice Cream which is best but this store deserves no star due to behavior of its owner. read more

DELICIOUS!! Little bit pricey, but it is worth it for the amount that they give you! Ice cream cupcakes are my personal favorite!

Cold Stone Creamery in Mansfield has the worst customer service. The owner/manager leaves much to be desired. I went with my children to get ice cream and order a birthday cake. I didn't finish placing my order for the cake, because the child I was ordering for wasn't there and the theme she wanted wasn't displayed in their birthday book. I gave the girl all the necessary info, except the theme. I told her I'd call back the next day and finish the order. I called, got the manager, who couldn't find my order, INSISTED I did not have the right store (as if I haven't been there 100 times before) and in general was a total ass. Instead of just retaking the order he proceeded to tell me that 1. There was no girl working there the previous night..it was all guys (ok..sure, now you're calling me crazy, cause I gave my order to a girl butthead. Then he tells me there was a girl there later that night, but she wouldn't have taken a cake order cause she was new and training (ok..so then, tell your trainee that, cause she has other ideas) and then when I told him I told the girl that i wanted to pick up the order at 9-930 on Saturday morning..or whatever time they opened..she told me they didn't open till 11. Then the jerk tells me that now he knows for sure that I had the wrong store cause they don't open till 12. Ummmmm...buddy....let it go... I WAS THERE YOU ASSWIPE, I PLACED THE ORDER, WITH A GIRL, WHO TOLD ME YOU OPENED AT 11!! REALLY?? REALLY?? After a very nice dinner in Mansfield Crossing(MA) we decided to go to Coldstone for Ice Cream. Normally I do not buy there overpriced ice cream but we had a buy one get one free coupon. While waiting in the long line a teen employee pushed his way through the line bumping into several people and nearly trampling my three year old daughter without even uttering the words excuse me while on his way to the back room. After waiting in line for approximately twenty minutes we tried to use our buy one get one Coldstone coupon and we were told that the coupon had to be printed. We explained that the coupon was from a smartphone application and could not be printed. The Manager was then called over he also stated that the coupon had to be printed, again we explained that it was a smartphone app. Very rudely this McDonalds reject told us he would only give us the discount if we could print out the coupon. I then informed him if they would not honor our coupon I did not want the ice cream. He said that is our policy(TERRIBLE COUSTMER SERVICE!!!). The magic is gone at this Coldstone. After receiving a very small serving I asked to have the price reduced from a Love it to a Like it (while my server offered to take it off the bill). My request for adjustment was rebuffed by the manager / owner. He was abrupt, rude and unconcerned about my dissatisfaction. The manager /owner stated that "the bucks stops with me" and if I did want to complain to corporate it would not matter. He lacked any sense of client focus. We had also been shorted on our milkshake but since that was more obvious - with the cup only being 70% full- the server did correct and add to the shake. As a worthy note, the manager/owner only spoke to me over the phone after two calls (the first time the server called because I asked to have the matter corrected, the owner refused to speak to me). He also told me that he watches the store via webcam and infomed me that is how he manages the location. As I mentioned above, a staff member offered to take the portion off my bill, however (over the phone), the owner told them to charge me full price because otherwise it would be stealing. If you are looking for a complete lack of customer service, look no further. read more
