They truly have some of the best cupcakes you'll find: perfectly moist, full of flavor, and consistently delicious. I've also never had a bad experience here. The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the visit even better. On our most recent stop, we picked up a dozen cupcakes. Hostess with the Mostess is my go-to favorite every time and never disappoints. They also had an eggnog cupcake of the day, and wow, it was so good. My husband is very hard to impress when it comes to baked goods, and even he said we have to go back. Safe to say, everyone left happy! A quiet night at Patriot Place in Foxborough, so we decided to check out some of the shops. We came across Cupcake Charlie's, and I remembered the name from Cupcake Wars so we decided to step in. Upon opening the door, the smell of baked goods immediately hit us. Fantastic start to the experience. From there, the service was great, as the employees were very helpful and patient with us (and our kids) as we decided what we wanted. I had been here once before and had a good experience. Today the cupcakes were just ok. Pretty dry. The ice coffee was watery. The employee could not scan my credit card. She said it was broken. No napkins were available. We were given one paper towel. We asked to use the rest rooms and we were told they were both broken and out of order. The employee said everything was "broken." We were at Patriot Place right before the NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse final and my men needed some sustenance. Husband had the Chocolate Hostess, one of my boys had the Oreo , and the other had the Cupcake of the Day, a Caramel Cream. I tasted theirs, but did not have my own. The cupcakes not only had frosting in top, but many had filling on the inside. There were many flavors available, as well as cake cups, frosting shots, cake pops, and vegan & gluten free items. My friend and I decided to stop here for a sweet treat. The manager was friendly and helpful in helping us decide which flavors to try. We purchased 4 different cupcakes to share. (1) red velvet- besides being a classic, this was my favorite of the four, the cake was moist and the frosting bread ratio was just right. (2) carrot cake- also delicious, the bread was moist and the frosting just perfectly sweet. (3) lemon drop- most unique one, this one had a lemon filling and then dipped in lemon glazed and then frosting on top. (4) chocolate peanut butter- this was my least favorite, the bread was a bit dry and the frosting particular sweet for my taste. The store is really nice and I think it is a great addition to the Patriot Place options! They just opened this month so service isn't fully streamlined yet which is understandable. I bought six cupcakes and the total came to a little under $20 which, was not cheap but, lets face it cupcakes are really pricey these days. I definitely liked some of the cupcakes more than others. I liked the chocolate and mint ones but, mostly because that combination is near and dear to my heart and it is hard for me to not like it in general. The Hostess cupcake was also quite good. The flavor of the day was the coconut cupcake and it tasted like I was eating sun tan lotion. I really disliked the fake coconut taste of it. Some of my favorite cupcake flavors are Oreo Delight, Funfetti and Peanut Butter Pleasure! For the frosting lovers out there (ME!) I definitely recommend the cupcake jars. I was walking around waiting for the Pat's game and stumbled upon this cupcake place. I was craving sweets all day, so I decided to treat myself. So I was more than pleasantly surprised on a recent trip to patriot place when I saw Cupcake Charlie's! I nearly died right there. The cakes are moist and flavorful and are usually filled with some kind of ganache or cream filling. It's like a added bonus when you bite into the cake. The frosting is sweet and smooth. They have some pretty amazing flavor combos too. I'm a die hard peanut butter and chocolate fan so that's usually my go to. I'm not even a big chocolate cake fan but that cupcake makes it worth it. I have been here a few times this year and the cupcakes are consistently delicious. They have ice cream, cookies , and frosting shots but the cupcakes are the stars here. They have about a dozen different kids and all are beautiful. Each one is decorated to match the flavor and Name. The lemon one has a sugared lemon slice on it. The pumpkin one has a pumpkin candy on it. I had a peanut butter one today. It was bursting with peanut buttery goodness. It's also huge and you can for sure split it with someone or save half for later. My only Reason for four stars instead of five is the price. $3.50' is a bit much for one cupcake. It May be because I'm a baker myself and I can make a dozen for that price but it seems a lot for me. No matter it's delicious anyways. I have never had their cupcakes before, so I went ahead and called because they have a good yelp rating & they deliver. The girl on the phone, Tanya, was extremely helpful. She called me back after speaking with her manager to make sure the delivery was do-able. She helped me pick out flavors and designs. She called me back after I placed my order because she had a design idea for the cupcakes. They have discs that they can put designs on and she recommended a different color sprinkle. Turns out, the cupcakes were a hit with my fiancé and his co-workers. Thank goodness.
