It's like every other cold stone I've been too. Good ice cream, it is expensive for ice cream, but it's fun to watch them make your own ice cream and blend the toppings into it. They don't have a ton of seating options, but it's great for a grab and go (which is what I like doing anyways). The service is kind of slow, but it's usually only 2 people with a long line, so patience is key. It looks pretty clean too. read more

Yum! I got the Brownie A La Coldstone again because it is SO GOOD!!!!! The brownie is warm and super moist! The ice cream is covered with chocolate and caramel and then topped with whipped cream and nuts. Oh my gosh it is delicious! But so decadent and rich! Every time I get one I think I need it all to myself and I don't want to share. But by the time I'm done and eating that last couple of bites, I think to myself that I should have shared it with someone. But still, I get it again the next time. I will forever get it. My family always get the ice cream with mix ins, and they love them. But I stick with the brownie sundae. This location has a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory inside as well which is fun. Poorly managed to say the least. AND the absolute worst kind of ownership and management. They leave young people who this is likely their first job to answer to angry customers and then the manager won't even answer the phone to help them! So why am I angry? Two birthdays, two cakes. Over $100 spent and they have no idea when staff is coming to do the cakes that were supposed to be ready at 2pm today. They say maybe 5? Can you postpone your party? My wife physically went in twice to make sure they had everything correct and still no.... We weren't the only ones either. These guys literally don't care if they ruined your party. I'm adding an extra star for the service. My daughter has celiac disease and needs to eat gluten-free. She pointed to a picture and said she wanted the mint mint chocolate chip, not realizing the picture also included fudge and brownie. We did say that she needed gluten-free. The worker behind the counter questioned the order and we responded that we checked the allergy guidelines on their website and that the mint ice cream was gluten-free. When they brought out the order, it was clear that the ice cream had brownie and fudge in it. The communication problem was our fault - there was no denying that. But they were so gracious and immediately fixed a new order so my daughter could have a treat that was gluten-free. All the ice cream that we ordered was good. The store was organized. There was a sign on the ice cream saying that the display freezer was broken. But when I questioned the workers they said that they had still had every ice cream flavor in the back. They try, kind people but not sure if they couldn't hear me well because they got my orders wrong. I almost thought I wasn't speaking loud enough The serving size for all of my ice creams were below the rim of our cups. Even my gotta love it (which wasn't what I ordered) was a small serving which I didn't mind because I asked for love it anyway. My husband ordered a mint chip shake (color wasn't green but I was told it was made with min ice cream - totally fine with that) however it taste so bad. The ice cream used must have been old, like it was melted then refrozen. Not good at all! I've been to this location a few times, and I've never been very disappointed with their ice cream. For a smaller location with fewer employees and customers, this is an acceptable place to stop by and pick up some ice cream. They've been out of stock of the cookie dough mix-in both times I've been to this location, however, but they make up for that with their exceptional desserts and their quick service. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes after I've ordered for me to receive my treat. They also serve a number of other products - caramel apples, shakes, and chocolates (due to a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory located in the same building), among other things. I personally have not yet tried any of these, but I am sure they won't disappoint. Overall, I haven't had any bad experiences with this location in particular, and I would come back again. read more

I was forced to come here. I was basically kidnapped, shoved into the car without even the benefit of a blindfold, driven here, wrestled inside, and coerced into ordering a huge container filled with coffee ice cream mixed with roasted almonds, Heath Bar, and caramel. (Did I mention they had a weapon, and told me that they'd be forced to use it if I didn't cooperate? What could I do? The humanity!!) The abductors paid for the whole thing - with cash of course, so they can't be traced. Can you imagine having this happen to you? I was determined, once we left, not to ingest any of it. My will gave way when the threats started up again. I was afraid for my life. I had no choice. So, I ate it. The coffee ice cream was so cold. The caramel ribbon running through the whole thing reminded me of a noose around my neck. The almonds were crunchy...so crunchy. Would I lose teeth? Maybe. And then, I ran onto the first bits of Heath Bar. I don't want to get into it, but let's just say I saw my life flash before my eyes. Before I knew it, it was all gone, and I was set free to go on with my pitiful existence which is now ruined by these barbarians, and Coldstone. I am now addicted. It only took once for me. We come from California, a state where costs are typically a lot higher. I could not believe that I paid over $15 for two Love It ice creams. Their stone supposedly wasn't operational. At that point, I should have turned around and walked out. The two girls were very unfriendly. I know they probably only make minimum wage,but just try to fake a smile, especially when you work in the "service" industry. Long story short, rude employees and when i was paying, the girl asked how my day was going (because she wanted a tip). The other older female gave me the dirtiest glare when i asked her for extra topping. WILL NEVER GO BACK. FIRST AND LAST TIME AT THIS COLDSTONE. IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS, I WOULD. We placed an order for pickup about 75 minutes in advance to give time to finish other errands. Triple checked the location since there are 2 in South Jordan. Printed a copy of the confirmation (but forgot to take it with us). Got to Cold Stone about 10 minutes before our arranged pick up time and went in, explaining we were a bit early. Employee told us they didn't have our order, and it was probably at the other location. We had no choice but to go home and call the phone number from the order confirmation, confirm the address (the one we'd just visited) and return again to pick up the order. When we asked if they'd do anything to make it up to us for the bad experience, we were flatly told no, it wasn't their fault "so go ahead and write a bad review." read more

One teenager started my son's ice cream order and then stopped halfway to go to the register to flirt with two girls. He told another employee what my son had asked for (getting it wrong) and then that employee proceeded to just stick an ice cream cone on top of his ice cream on the bowl. That is not what we asked for (they also got the flavors incorrect). Here's a tip for these young employees: when you're taking an order, how about you finish it before going to flirt with someone! We stopped here to use giftcards for this place on the way to a carnival down the street. The long line in this place moved pretty quickly, that is always nice. The ice cream I ordered, wasn't mixed very well, but that is not a huge problem obviously. The people working there are embarrassingly chipper, by that I mean I was embarrassed for them at how over-the-top friendly they were acting.
