Not sure why this place has a bad star rating. We've gone to this location twice within the last year (2024). And we've had nothing but good experiences. Employees were always nice and listened well to what we wanted with our orders. Ice cream was always good and creamy. I tried their Oreo milk shake this last time and it was good, which is the Oreo had more of a chunky taste to it as opposed to it being blended in with the shake. Other than that, their ice cream and shakes are good. We came on a cold night (December 2024) and while we were eating on the tables, I noticed about 20 people walk in within 10 minutes lol. Honestly some of the worst service I've ever received. The workers seemed purposefully slow and lacking. There were 3 workers, one doing their best to avoid any work at all, especially making the ice cream. The worker working in the front of line was so slow it had to be intentional, and then a worker on online orders that seemed to match the pace. 2 years since my last review... and they still are having issues keeping items in stock. My kids were super pumped to try the new lucky charms ice cream combo- particularly because of the gold mixed in. I ordered them smalls. When he handed them to us, my son said "don't forget the gold!" The employee said they didn't have any so he just gave us extra ice cream instead. Saturday night, and the SLOWEST service I've ever experienced. Workers had ZERO energy. Not very friendly. This was Saturday 1/22/2022. The girl with brown hair and glasses seemed to have no clue how to make any of it, the couple before us had to tell her what was put in the signature creation they wanted. If you guys could train your employees better, or work on better staffing during busy times. No competence at all! We were in line for over 45 min with only 2 groups ahead of us (groups of 2 people) worst service EVER. No apologies, just SLOWWWWWWWWWW. Not a great experience. The employees were super sweet and professional, and their banana ice cream is TDF! My niece got (I believe) a strawberry-banana-mango sorbet, which was also very good. My only complaint is about their smoothies. They don't taste fruity at all. In fact, they taste very decadent, which is weird for a smoothie. Stopped here on Saturday, July 11th at 6:30PM. We were the only customers in the store. We ordered two smoothies (strawberry/mango and mango/pineapple). While we were waiting, other customers came and got served their items before they even made ours. We were handed our smoothies and they weren't even filled to the top (we got the large size, but the amount we got could have filled the smaller size). They were also extremely thick, that we couldn't drink them and had to let them sit for almost an hour in the very hot car while we went shopping in a nearby store. Chunks of ice kept clogging the straw, and we were having to basically CHEW our smoothies. Upon getting to the bottom, we noticed so many unblended ice cubes. Both were like that. We came in tonight about an hour before closing. The employees were so nice and accommodating and gave us great service. I have celiac disease and they were happy to provide me with the allergen list. Once I chose my order, the employee making mine washed her hands, put on clean gloves, and made mine in the back from a fresh ice cream container, with clean scoops, in a clean bowl and with mix ins that hadn't been touched. This is the Cold Stone closest to me but we prefer to drive further to other locations because at this one you just don't get what you pay for. This store is stingy with their mix ins and it seems like they train their employees to use reduced quantities. Today we stopped in to pick up a Mix & Go, the 32 oz size, of Founders Favorite. This is supposed to be about 4 times the size of a regular Love It but it was all ice cream and mix ins equivalent to only one Love It. Disappointing. Unfortunately not the first time they have messed up the ice cream to mix in ratios. Overall the employees are poorly trained compared to other locations.
