Downs location continue to decline each time I visit. During my most recent visit with my family, the store was barely accessible because so many customers were gathered outside while employees dealt with water pouring from a leaking ceiling. The floor inside was soaked, creating an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe environment. Despite the circumstances, we stayed because the quality of the ice cream and the variety of flavors have always made this location worth visiting. What truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service provided by the manager, Nola. She remained professional, welcoming, and attentive despite the difficult conditions. She went above and beyond to ensure my children had a wonderful experience choosing their favorite flavors, and her positive attitude reflected the dedication of the entire staff. While unexpected maintenance issues can happen, it is deeply concerning that these conditions have persisted for days rather than being addressed promptly. This reflects a troubling lack of regard not only for loyal customers but also for the employees who are expected to work in these conditions every day. A business should provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both its patrons and its team members. I wholeheartedly commend Nola and the staff for their professionalism, resilience, and commitment to customer service. However, I strongly encourage the owners to take greater responsibility for maintaining this location. Now that it's summer, I wish my name was Victor Fries, Leonard Snart or Bobby Drake. I'm not a big ice cream fan. I would get brownies or cheesecake over it. If I do get ice cream, it has to have "stuff" in it, which basically means Rocky Road or any Ben + Jerry concoction. Cold Stone appeals to me because of the "stuff" This Cold Stone has been here for a while. The gist is adding various confections to ice cream flavors to make a unique treat. The employees are quite adept at this and are generally in high spirits as they assemble your treat. While you can take a base flavor and add all sorts of stuff, it can get super expensive. I usually get a Signature Creation, which are based on certain flavors or theme. My favorite is the German Chocolate Cake. Negatives: No matter the season, Friday/Sat/Sunday nights are always packed. While the line moves fast, seating is limited. The napkins they have at this location are small 2 x 2 . That may be fine for gauze but not for a food bursting with gills with messy items and small hyper kids. Get regular napkins. If you're charging 30 cents more than the USF location, you can afford regular sized napkins. Price. If you do the custom order, it starts at $4 and each add on is something like 50 cents per item. You could break the bank easily. I would recommend getting a signature creation. a medium is around $6.70 with tax. (USF price is 30 cents less) They sell ice cream cakes and shakes here too, but the ice cream is the real draw. Overall: It's great stuff with good customer service, but the price is somewhat prohibitive. read more

I recently ordered an eight inch round Coffeehousse Crunch Ice Cream Cake from Cold Stone Creamery for my daughter's birthday. When I picked it up they put it inside my insulated cooler bag for me, because....Florida. So I never really saw the cake...until I got home to put it in my freezer. The cake they sent home with me looked absolutely NOTHING like the cake that is advertised online. I have been to many Cold Stone, this is the best Cold Stone that I have visited. During the ice cream day, the line is long. But it move very fast. Because the manager was there and the rest of the wait staff paid good attention. That will be the biggest difference that I see compare to others location. During the ice cream day, the promotion is buy one get one free. We were at the line but it take only 10 minutes to get to our turn. I have the cotton candy and the coffee ice cream. My mixed topping is heath bar. It work out well. The ice cream is great. I saw the manager help clean up the table, pick up the trash, clean the counter. No wonder this store is presentable. It make the customers want to come back. I also like the set up which make the order much easy when they have two counter to paid the ice cream. read more

Delicious ice cream place in New Tampa. Ice cream is fresh with great options for mix ins. I stopped here about 930 on a Thursday and it was packed. I waited about 15 mins for my turn to order. I had the Like it size (small) peanut butter chocolate perfection: chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups, fudge and peanut butter. They take the ice cream and the mix ins and they mix them on a cold stone to put it all together. That way the ingredients are freshly mixed. It's a great concept. They have ice cream available in one serving size or to take home in a larger quantity. I do love this ice cream but it's just a little pricey in my opinion, but worth a treat every once in a while. Service was excellent, very friendly despite being busy. They have other creative flavors like Birthday cake remix, apple pie a la cold stone and strawberry batter batter. Also have milkshakes. My husband and I went to this location recently and were treated very nicely by the employees. We had ordered 2 everybody's (1 of coffee lovers only and another of the chocolate devotion) that were made by this lovely young man, who said his name was David. One of them he had made in the back for us with clean utensils since I have a nut allergy. My husband had a whole debate with him about soccer, it was very much funny. The other employees had made chocolate dipped waffles for us, when there were none available and had made sure to check if we were being assisted while we were still deciding which ice cream we wanted. I've always had great experiences at this location. Wait times are never too long, service is friendly and the ice cream is always SO good! Today we sampled quite a few!! Sea Salt Sweet Cream, Cake Batter Ganache, Banana Bread and Cupcakefetti (or something silly like that). They were all terrific! I ultimately decided on a Love It Shockacone, but subbed out the sweet cream for the new Sea Salt Sweet Cream. That with crushed up sugar cone, chocolate shavings and cookie dough made for a sweet afternoon treat! My daughter had the cupcakefetti thingie with gummy bears. I order ice cream from here very frequently. The ice cream is delicious, but the preparations are very inconsistent. I usually get a quart with oreo and fudge mix ins with a chocolate dipped waffle bowl on the side. Three times, I have not been given the waffle bowl at all, although on the Ubereats app, it says you will...you pay extra for it! I know we all make mistakes which is why I haven't said anything before...but come on! Also, this time I'm pretty sure I got like a total of 4 oreo cookies mixed into a quart of ice cream- not cool. The manager that works here looks like she hates her job. Every time we come in there she doesn't even smile or has a friendly look to her. We recently came in and got charged incorrectly by a sales clerk, he calls his manager to void the transaction, her name is Melissa and she came to the register and did not greet us as customers and apologized for the mistake. She actually charged us another wrong transaction and then charged for the correct amount and did not even tell us that she had done so. We looked at our bank statement when we got home and noticed these multiple charges. I refuse to come to this location again. Hubby and I were on a road trip returning home to, Jacksonville, FL when we saw the sign on 75 North. We turned around going 18 miles out of the way to cure our sweet tooth craving @ Cold Stone. I ran in to grab our cold sweets when I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting, "Melissa". She was either in a bad mood donning a memorable disingenuous smile or did like servicing me with my enthusiastic smile for ice cream. She asked "whose next" which was odd because I was next in line. I acknowledged her and replied with "I am." While completing my order I simply asked for a middle and top layer of chocolate shavings. I not only received a look of inconvenience but her actions followed suit. While ringing me up she placed my waffle cone order down on the counter so forcefully she knocked over the spoons. I looked at her puzzled, and could not determine why she felt her unpleasantness was needed. Not sure if it was me, the color of my shirt or skin? Possibly all since I've dealt with limited minded people like her before. Nonetheless, Melissa the ice cream was delicious so thank you for the preparation however your service was underwhelming. Your behavior is what I would expect from someone of a younger age however you are to older for this type of unprofessional service. One can only assume since you are the older employee you are in a management position, which is unfortunate. I've only been to Cold Stone once, and it was a while ago, but I didn't find the ice cream good at all. I sampled about 5 or 6 different flavors, and they all had a sort of powdered milk aftertaste to them (ick). I just don't understand the hype. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. My friend did get some ice cream and she added various toppings (perhaps this is where the flavor and excitement come in?), and her little concoction cost her about $9.00! I will admit that I am quite cheap/frugal, but I thought that was ridiculous for even the best serving of ice cream. I did email my experience to the store (thinking perhaps there was something wrong with their product or the machines) and the manager got back to me and asked what flavor tasted so bad, and when I responded that every one I tried tasted bad, I never heard from them again. If I am going to eat ice cream, I want it to be sweet, full of fat, rich, and creamy (I am a Haagen Dazs fan). "Welcome to Cold Stone." They are always adequately staffed, and willing to give you samples, answer questions, or whatever else you may need. And occasionally (maybe when you tip them) they break into song. The difference is that this is a creamery, and they mix the toppings in on a frozen slab of marble. It's actually pretty neat to watch. If you check their website before going, you'll see plenty of delicious choices, but you can also choose to make your own specialty in store. The ice cream comes in three sizes, in addition to the kid's size. They have waffle cones plain and/or dipped, in addition to cups. Went here for the first time with my bf. The store was clean. Was greeted as soon as we walked in which was refreshing considering there was a line. Staff was very professional and took their time meeting the customers needs. Had the pleasure of meeting the manager which I think her name was Melissa. She was very friendly and very sweet. She was training a new employee I believe and I was ease dropping. She was very thorough and precise on company standards. I will be back every time I am in town.
