I really like Revolution! They are a solid Heights staple for me now. Service is fast, and staff are super great. The place is a little small, but I haven't had a big issue getting seating when I'm there. Their flavors are really delicious and super unique. Ever had syrup on your ice cream? No? Well you can here, and it's suuuuper good! Euro trash, Matt's Fatty Rolls, and the 813 are probably the best flavors they offer to the non-lactose free community. However, they do lack multiple vegan/dairy free options. I try to stay away from dairy as much as I can, but sometimes having to eat the coconut/vanilla flavor wears on me and I just want a different option. When they have the coffee and Oreos, I get excited because it's a great dairy free alternative! Also, the seasonal Christmas dairy free option IS SO GOOD. My favorite ice cream they make for sure. Inside isn't much to write home about, only a few places to sit. Flavors are nice and unique and waffle cones made fresh. 1 small scoop is 4.75 and it is a very small portion. Brought my three boys there and they got the banana pudding flavor, Oreo scream, and chocolate shock. The chocolate tasted icy like it was freezer burnt but the Oreo one was creamy. The pricing is fair, they have plenty of options when it comes to flavors, and the staff is very nice and patient. They offer samples, which is a big deal and are very knowledgeable. With tons of artwork and cool stuff on the walls, booths and chair seating and a funny menu that's handwritten and some with sticky notes featuring all the flavors they carry and some special seasonal concoctions. I usually go for the sampler which I have pictured here. It is six flavors of your choosing in a nice carton that just is aesthetically pleasing for some reason. Idk , maybe it's just me, but I've never been more satisfied looking at ice cream scoops. Plenty of different flavors here to make you happy, all though I recommend getting the drunken brownies. So good with the Chardonnay. Only reason this place isn't five stars to me is the customer service. The last two times I've gone the cashier has been short and really didn't look like she wanted to be there. Also as I walked up she just stared at me and didn't even say hello. I did op for the other flavors that looked really good... 5/5 Euro Trash was a concoction of Nutella and a biscoff biscuit. It was as sweet as I was thinking and that was a good thing for me as sometimes Nutella can be over powering. 5/5 Caramel Vanilla Pralines was another amazing flavor and this one was the favorite of the two; who doesn't like pralines which when accompanied with caramel and delicious vanilla ice cream makes for the perfect match up. I opted for the Euro trash & cinnamon roll in a waffle cone - I do wish the cinnamon roll had the icing topping versus an extra sprinkling of cinnamon, but as long as you like cinnamon, you'll like the cinnamon roll ice cream. The euro trash is unique, I can't quite put my finger on what it tastes like but it says it has Nutella throughout. Located in a tiny brick plaza with Mekenita Cantina and a few other places, Revolution Ice cream is an independent ice cream shop. When you enter , you'll notice some colorful and random furniture with a central bar and counter where you order from. The two employees were nice and informed me that you can get regular ice cream, or have it as a sundae, or drizzles(stuff added to ice cream) One scoop is $4 and two is $8 for regular ice cream. I decided to get 1 scoop of eurotrash and one of drunken brownies. The eurotrash is supposed to be nutella and biscoff cookie and the DB is supposed to taste like brownies and chardonnay. I was surprised they didnt ask for ID when ordering DB. That should have been my first clue. Both ice creams were creamy. I can't see say it was extraordinarily creamy since I'm not an ice cream connoisseur. Both REALLY did not taste much like what their descriptions stated. The DB had no wine flavor and was only mildly chocolatey. The eurotrash had some cookie crumbs on top as a garnish but the actual ice cream had no cookie chunks. Both were very disappointing. If this was Walmart Great value ice cream , maybe I would not care. This is a specialty ice cream place and a bit expensive for what you get. Even Ice Cream Dreammm was $3.50 /scoop and SOOO much better than this place. It seems to thrive on style over substance and I guess for beatniks/hippies that's fine. Maybe there is a dearth of ice cream stores in Seminole Heights? Who knows? I would rather go to Cold Stone or Ice Cream Dreamm over this place. Also, if you're tall some of the seats feel like they're for little kids. As a 6ft1 guy, I felt like the giant from Jack and the beanstalk. Also, there is a parking lot but it is especially narrow. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star is because the ice cream consistency is harder than I prefer...but I'm a custard lover, so I like my ice cream creamier and smoother. Finally made it out to this spot last night. The ice cream is excellent. Thick and rich, flavorful and delicious. 2 scoops was plenty and I'm a large man. Staff was friendly, menu was varied with plenty of funky flavors to choose from. I had a scoop of cinnamon roll and a scoop of the CBD infused brownie ice cream. The only downsides were that they were out of waffle cones (but they had waffle bowls as an option instead). The CBD ice cream was $7 a scoop which even for CBD is pretty steep, and a single scoop of their other flavors in a styrofoam cup is $5. They're generous scoops of ice cream but $12 for two scoops of ice cream is ridiculous anywhere. They were also sold out of a bunch of things which seemed odd for a Saturday night at a business that stays open until 11pm.
