I can't believe I just spent almost $10 for one cup of ice cream. Was it good? Sure. Was it $10 good? I don't think so.

They're nice and make the experience ten times better. I'm diabetic so I wasn't sure if there would be anything for me but there was! Like a HUGE selection of sugar free candy! And they're always having sales. I got a TON of candy for like $40. I mean, a ton! The candy is delicious and I live like almost an hour away and will absolutely drive there for their candy. They also have ice cream and fudge. Haven't tried that yet. Also sign up for their discounts online. There are carts and yes, grab one. They have their sale items in the back of the store and so worth it! I highly recommend this place for any kind of candy craving.

For several years, I have shopped at this store off and on. During my most recent visit in mid-February, I saw many boxes of chocolates for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day, and they were priced at 50% off. Of course, I also saw many regularly priced boxes of in-season chocolates. These chocolates were available in dark, milk, and white and had fillings such as creams (e.g., butter, coconut, orange, raspberry, strawberry, and vanilla), nuts (e.g., almond, cashew, peanut, pecan, and walnut), and many others (e.g., brownie, caramel, toffee, and white-chocolate truffle). Some flavors were sugar-free. I also saw other sweet treats such as gourmet caramel apples, hard candies, gummy candies, fudges, chocolate-covered strawberries and pretzels, and ice creams. My favorite product to buy is the 3-pound box of "bloopers" chocolates. Compared to a few years ago, the price for the bloopers has increased. I now paid $28 for two 3-pound boxes, which is still a bargain. One employee gave my husband and me a free sample of milk chocolate, and she promptly and politely rang up our purchase and thanked us. When we got home, I opened the boxes and saw a mixture of dark and milk chocolates. I have not yet eaten all of them, but the boxes appear to include a variety of flavors. The bloopers are misshapen, too big, too small, or stuck together. They still taste good!

Our first stop in town after checking in was Hangover BBQ (I'm a huge fan of BBQ, and am no slouch myself). Imagine my disappointment in reading the sign on the door that said "closed, doing VIP service for Heritage Blues Festival", or words very close to that. Well, damn. I was determined to sample some of Hangover's stuff, so on the second day of the festival approached who I later learned was Billy, the owner. I related my story to him and asked if they would be open the next day, Monday following the festival. Billy said they wouldn't be opened until Thursday. He must have noticed the look of disappointment on my face, and asked if I'd be around until the close of the festival that day. I said I would, and Billy let me know that he would hook me up with a plate later in the day/evening. I was utterly floored when at around 3 pm, I noticed Billy walking toward me in the crowd in front of the stage. I recognized him and he clearly recognized me. He literally tracked me down and said he had a plate ready for me: brisket, apple crisp and watermelon. The guy is one class act, let me tell you. And let me also tell you that his brisket is top shelf BBQ, with a wonderfully subtle smoke flavor that I prefer over super prominent smoke such as hickory or mesquite (which is why I personally use pecan wood for all my smoking) and done perfectly. It had some really interesting seasoning, one element of which reminded me of a kiss of Chinese 5-spice. The apple crisp was to die for as well. The town was great (my first time there), the people were fantastic and friendly, the festival was great, and I discovered that the area was fortunate to have a place like Hangover BBQ to satisfy their smoky desires. Just a wonderful, wonderful experience. Thank you, Billy! You've got a BIG fan in mid-Michigan who will never forget your grace, kindness...........and 'que! *raising a glass to his newest Wheeling buddy, who I will definitely track down next year* If you're in the Wheeling, WV area, do yourself a favor and look Billy up. You won't be sorry, I PROMISE you.

The waitress started off by telling us all of the menu items that were not available - no chicken, no coquille, no onion soup, etc. 3 of us ordered steaks. Mine came with smashed potatoes and green beans and they were stone cold. The steak (filet) was nearly raw and was actually cold to touch. So was my daughter's. The waitress took our plates back and the whole plate was heated in a microwave. It was all tasteless and awful!!! My daughter's boyfriend had a New York strip steak that was ok and my daughter had crab cakes that were mediocre, but for a $500 meal, it was disgusting. - Two women came to the restaurant and the hostess was heard telling them that it would be a 40 minute wait because they were short of staff. There were actually more staff than there were customers. Before we left, we were the only ones there. It just seemed like they were anxious to close the restaurant. Extremely disappointing.

This is now a 73 dollar steak. I sent it back. The food took 30 mins to get to our table and the waitress' asked if I wanted another steak but I declined because she wasn't very happy about it. The meal was not great at all. No refills on beverages. I had 1 Diet pepsi. Not even a bread basket. Very disappointed.
