I often have work meetings here and I have to say I'm a pretty big fan now. Krystal is an amazing server and keeps everyone's needs fulfilled. I love the broccoli salad and greek dressing here. For my entree I switch it up between the chicken salad croissant or the turkey bacon swiss sandwich. Prices are reasonable and food is fresh. Service is horrible. We came in an waited patiently by the hostess station. The hostess never came up to her station when another group came in she took them first. I told her we were waiting for a while which she replied she knew she had walked past us a few times. She then buzzed us to be seated they seated us then she came back and told us our table was for the people who had came in after us and that she never buzzed our buzzer. The gave us a new buzzer. She could have admitted to buzzing the wrong people but instead blamed us. read more

Just went for a walk around the kitchen is CLEAN I'm not surprised the rest of the place is too .bathroom old but also clean . My husbands and for that matter my breakfast was great I had the farmer he had country biscuit breakfast . Ok it just got better she gave me a cup of coffee to go . Great little place in a lovely old town. This is USA in its past best. Everything was clean and neat. Stephanie our waitress was so accommodating! There were three of us and almost all of the tables were taken, only tables for two left. Stephanie quickly rearranged a couple to make room for us. The meals are simple country fare with matching simple prices and all three were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly to our requests. They're open Tuesday thru Thursday from 7AM to 8PM and Friday and Saturday 7AM to 2PM. Absolutely a wonderful experience!!! We've been traveling for almost two weeks from New Orleans heading north and this has been one of the best breakfast experiences we've had!!! read more

I have lived in Claysville for two years and today was my first time visiting the Main Street Cafe. The atmosphere is laid-back but not overly casual. The old hardwood floors, antiques and old pictures adds a quaint touch. The restaurant is CLEAN. I didn't see dust or debris around the tables or the floor. This was a big deal for me! The food is delicious! I had a cup of chili and a chicken salad with their homemade dressing. It was a perfect brunch and the rest of the menu sounded incredible. I like how they advertise their daily specials and the desserts looked amazing! The staff is friendly, prompt and accommodating. My coffee cup never went empty. In short, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and I plan on coming back a lot! read more

Very delicious breakfast. We called ahead for our party of 6 since we were driving through. They had everything packed up with lots of napkins and an entire cup of syrup. It's nice to find a place like this a no-stoplight town where food choices are limited and good ones are even more. Service is very friendly and take out orders are usually ready in a timely manner. Sides can be limited. They are a new business so they haven't made certain larger investments such as a deep frier. So, chips, pasta salad, side salads(house dressing is fantastic) are most of your options. The desert selection is large for the type of restaurant, and so are the portions! Plan on sharing your desert or saving some for later. Special requests are also welcome. You say you want the beef from the roast beef sandwich but you want it in a bole with the sauce from the meatball hoagie? Go for it. We took our food to go, but since we were there for about 10 minutes waiting, I was able to look through all of the historical photos and newspapers that are on the walls - it's amazing to see the town's history displayed on the walls of a tiny cafe! Peanut butter fudge like grandma used to make! My husband and I stopped here while traveling on a Thursday's around 1 pm. There was no wait - we got a table right away. It is has a quaint atmosphere and friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered the roast beef sandwich which was good but the bread was a little soggy. My husband had the Caesar wrap on wheat wrap and we ordered coleslaw and pasta salad on the side and everything was delicious. We will defiantly come back if we are passing through town again. We had a delicious lunch here off the highway along our travels home. We both ordered a cup of chili with cheese as our side and both commented it was so good we could have just ordered a bowl of that for our meal. I had an Italian sandwich and my husband had the Cubano which were both very tasty. Hours had changed on Monday to close at 2 pm. We were told not to worry the staff was in no rush even though we arrived on 20 mins before closing time. Nice ambiance, good food and friendly service. read more

On our way to Columbus we were looking for a place to have coffee and tea; we were lucky to find this place on Yelp. All desserts are homemade and fresh. When we asked about the tea variety; the lady said: "We just have black tea." It was Lipton, we don't like Lipton, we got to cups of hot water. We looked around, and got to the car. After a few seconds the lady came by with different brands and flavors of tea! She said: "Sorry! I didn't know about these; please take as many as you want!" Loved coconut cream pie and piping hot coffee, good service, reasonable $8 salad w fresh greens, apples, craisins, walnuts, chicken and a good roll.
