Brought in my vehicle for a diagnosis on my taillights as I have already replaced them and they keep going out. Brought my car in Friday Morning with an appt and got it back Monday afternoon with no answers I was told on the report my taillights are out, obviously that is the reason I had taken it there is to get an answer on why this keeps happening. Instead i was given a $400 Bill and still no working taillights. I could have purchased a brand new set for less than what i was charged to "diagnose" this problem. I took my F150 in for diagnosis for an engine code. Note that I drove the truck in myself and had no problems. They told me they needed to tear into the engine to get to the probable bad part. $1800 later they told me I needed a new engine. They claimed they checked the engine and according to them it should not even run ("no compression on the right bank" and "timing chain was off five teeth"). The engine would not run under those conditions - and remember that I drove it in with no problems! I asked them to put it back together and they told me that would be another $1800. I said just put all the parts in the truck and I will just do it myself. After having to buy some of the missing parts that somehow vanished while they were working on it, I put the truck back together and it once again runs fine (except that engine code is still showing). I would strongly urge you to never take anything in for Cole Ford to repair. I know I will not ever do business with them again. read more

I purchased a used Ford Escape for our out of state daughter. The buying experience was top notch. Sales person was excellent. A few months after purchasing, she had an issue with the vehicle. I contacted the Business Manager directly, who went above and beyond to handle our issue promptly and professionally. Within a couple of days, he had resolved our issue and worked directly with an out of state shop to handle the needed repair. Had my ford f150 in for an oil change and tire rotation. I've been going to this dealership for 15 years. They performed the necessary tire and oil change to my satisfaction but the said I should really get new front brakes, wheel bearings,tie rod ends, etc. They said it really wasn't safe to drive. I took it to my trusted mechanic the next day and he says there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG. I purchased a Lincoln MKZ a year and a half almost 2 years ago and received a couple tickets for free oil changes...I lost one of them and recently found it but it has an expiration date of one year which I thought was pretty silly if you still own the vehicle...Nonetheless I took it in for service and they would not honor it... they are numbered there's no way you can copy them but they still would not let me use it... and because of that I will never ever recommend them to anyone and I will never buy another car there...It may sound petty but I didn't realize I had a deadline to use my free oil change that I received for purchasing a vehicle...and it cost me 80 some dollars...I am a disabled veteran I get paid once a month so to me that's a big deal...sooooooo yeah... read more

Advertised a price on AutoTrader on a new F250 that said included a $500 rebate. I go to buy the truck and they add just under $7,000 to the price because I'm not a Ford employee. Poor advertising and poor customer service from Gordon when it came to handling it. I buy a truck or 2 every year, but I will be staying away from them. read more

I bought a new Lincoln from Cole almost 3 years ago. I've had two minor warranty fixes, one re-training session, and several oil changes done by the dealership. I've been very pleased with their service and everyone I've met at the dealership. At this point, I have every intention of buying my next car from Cole, too. Took my Lincoln MKZ into the service department because the A/C was blowing hot air. I had the Freon level checked elsewhere and it was full. Even with an appointment I had to leave my car for four hours before the dealership diagnosed the problem. The smaller belt that runs the A/C was missing. This took a certified mechanic an hour's diagnostic time? Keep in mind everything else was working fine, but an hour's time was needed to see a belt was missing? The easily replaced belt cost about $20, but the entire repair cost $214. This is my hometown Lincoln dealer and I did not expect this treatment. My car was not finished until 11:30 the next day. So to review, it took at least an hour to diagnose a missing belt, and it took a dealership waiting overnight for the belt before it could be replaced. Wow, I am glad it was not a hard job! On a positive note, it was a rainy day and a salesman came out to escort me in with an umbrella, Further, my car was washed before its return. Courtesies were extended by the staff that morning. I want to keep a dealership in this small area, but common sense must be displayed by the business. read more

The worst service department in Branch County, MI. They'll charge you to diagnose a problem, not resolve it (but state they have) and then when your vehicle breaks down a week later, offer to charge you to really resolve the issue. AVOID at all costs read more
