I visited Coleman powers ports location in Woodbridge VA. My salesman was Clayton , he definitely delivered top tier customer service , I was meet with professionalism and stellar customer service . I purchased a 2023 Can-Am Ryker with about 44 miles on it . The financing was fast , my pre approval rate beat my own financial institution exponentially. Check out the dealer incentives they may have at the time you purchase because I assumed and did better at the dealer . The on site insurance professional Dwight Foley streamlined that insurance and also provided top tier service . He walked me through my options and gave me the best rates based on the area I live in. While waiting I visited the service department and grabbed a cover just in case I need to leave it outside of my garage. Mike in the service department also sold me a much needed phone mount and the different components to prevent damage from the vibration of the machine messing with the phone parts . I thank Mike, he really went above and beyond to help and aided in the installation process with the technician before I left the property. So I was pleased with the over all experience , after you leave financing they have you ring a bell and you get to sign the wall of signifiers to celebrate your purchase which is so cool. read more

I have not dealt with Coleman since I moved from Arlington more 35 years ago, so most, if not all, of the people with whom I dealt are now gone. While I would have liked the sales staff at the time to have been more eager to have a sale (was there close to 30 minutes before a salesman approached me, but that was at the Ballston location which closed while I still lived in Arlington), I have nothing but praise for the repair staff. Doing courier work at the time, I was taking the bike in every 6 to 8 weeks to replace the brakes until one mechanic suggested I used EBC instead of Honda stock--half the cost with twice the life! Can no longer recall the guy's name, but he was in a wheelchair, and had his own bike tricked out to where I believe his wheelchair could be used as a "side car"! read more

Hate the Falls Church service shop location? Come here! It's a world apart. I know they are the same company but really, the Coleman's service shop in Woodbridge just blows the doors off of the Falls Church service shop. It's so different that I'm not sure how this company can have 2 shops running in such diametrically opposed ways...someone at the top should probably look into that...it's a sh*t show in Falls Church. Anyways! I was dubious about taking my 2018 Monster 1200 to Coleman's Woodbridge in the Fall of 2023 because my history with the Falls Church location which has been filled with rage-inducing experiences and service taking months and months on end to complete. So when the service manager Keith was responsive, informative, and helpful, I was so happy to finally be dealing with people who actually want to help their customers! I had a long list of work to be done on my Monster including the 36K Desmo service, leaking forks, and a tooth broken on 2nd gear =( , and the list goes on. Keith not only provided me an estimate for all of the work, but since it came out to be nearly $10,000 (ha!) he gave me a breakdown of options for work they could complete now and the pricing and advised which work could be completed later. I brought the bike in on 10/28/23 and the Desmo service, fork seals, timing belt, new front tire, VA inspection, and pulley bearing replacement were all completed with my bike ready to go just 2 short weeks later on 11/14/23. This was so fast based on what my expectations have been with Coleman's that I was too poor to pick up until December 15th! As the icing on the cake, my chain was ACTUALLY cleaned and adjusted AND my bike was shiny and clean! Which I shouldn't be that excited about but not once has this happened at the Falls Church shop and I had my bikes serviced there at least 10 times (I'm slow to learn when to walk away). I purchased a new Kawasaki H2 from here a while ago. They prepared the bike for me or so they said after I paid a lot of money for the machine. On my first major ride i experienced brake fail at around 35 mph. Argued with the service manager about brake failure he said handles were not adjusted. I had to contact the owners in Arlington, got a mechanic to check the bike out he found air in my lines. This is a belated review as this will be my first, but the more I thought about my experience the more I believe I need to warn others of CPS's tactics. I bought a side by side with a full warranty (bumper to bumper) in 2016. I brought the unit in for an unusual noise. They called and said they could replace the belt for a fee or I could pick it up. I was upset that they were challenging the full warranty within the first year I owned it. I arrived to pick up the unit and was handed a $700 invoice for the exploratory to determine what was wrong, nothing was replaced, and no one called to tell me the exploratory would cost $700. They did not honor the warranty, nor did they practice good honest and ethical business practice. Will never buy or recommend anyone to buy a paperclip from these people. I took my MSF Basic Rider Course here and they were very professional. The instructors had a lot of experience and made the course both easy and enjoyable. Good selection of bikes to choose from and well-maintained. The riding course is set up across from IKEA and you can see them instructing on any given weekend. Young lady in Service Dept. is nice, that is why i brought my Ducati there for service. I wanted the Timing belt changed, valves adjusted and "clanking noise" & rough shifting checked out as well as the front forks. They tell me I need the $1800 Desmo Service that includes Timing belt & valves adjusted. I tell them I don't need all the other things it includes, I just want the 3 things i brought bike in for: Shifting, Timing Belt and Forks. They say I can't do just the 3 things, I need the entire Desmo service package to get it done. After a month they say 4 people rode my bike & it has no problems shifting. I paid about $75.00 for the Shifting noise Diagnostic mind you. I declined anything done on the front forks as I lost confidence. I go pick up my bike , I hop on it in front of the Service Writer, i put it in gear "Loud Clunk", I took it for a ride = same thing - clanking noise" & rough shifting . So when I told the Service writer AND He heard it him self, he goes from " 4 people rode my bike & it has no problems shifting" to " I Duno ? but motor will have to come out and taken apart & it will cost more to do that than the bike is worth. The shifting is getting worse, I notice a small scratch on my tank, and sometimes when cold the bike cuts out lights go off and my clock re sets to "0" I believe at least they owe me $75.00 for the diagnostic on the shifting noise they did not do , but charged me and said 4 people rode my bike & it has no problems shifting. As far as the other things - they probably would deny it or say it is a coincidence. Does anyone know a good, honest Ducati Mechanic please ? read more

I brought my jet ski to them for service and because I was feeling it was losing power. I got it back, still seemed to have a loss of power and I just assumed it was on its last leg as it's pretty old. At the end of the season, my uncle went to winterize it for me and there was ZERO oil in it. There was also "cheese cloth" that is used during an oil change wrapped around some parts. I can only assume they forgot to finish the job. They took the filter off with the cloth and never finished putting new oil in (Or probably changing the filter). My boyfriend talked to the service manager who didn't offer any service as a remedy. Jet ski oil changes aren't cheap! Too bad I paid for them to potentially ruin my ski. Luckily I didn't use it more than 2x this season or the engine would have def locked up. read more

In fact, the techs from my former shop moved over to Coleman's. I was very well taken care of. Making an appointment online was a breeze and I was in and out of there quickly with no issues. Both Fall Church and Woodbridge is horrible. Just as what others have said, you HAVE to call to get updates. My vehicle was dropped off and was never worked on and ended up taking it back. Well how should I begin this. My bike has been with them since 2019. It has an extended warranty that is basically useless. If I don't call no one would ever contact me about it (that means since they have had it I never got a phone call from them) They told me they fixed it multiple times and i had to bring it back basically next day because it still has the same issue. I once picked it up about 10mins to closing (they told me it was fixed) and the bike didn't even want to start and as I approached the door to let them know they closed it infront of me. Took me a while to get it started and next day brought it back cause it was doing the same thing even after it was "fixed". The last time I was contacted was told the bike needs an engine. Want me to pay $3000+ to determine if that is correct or not. If it does they will refund me the money, but if it doesn't they keep the money and I'm basically still out of a bike that I bought brand new from here and $3,000 for a misdiagnosis. I am very tired of being told excuses left and right. I have no problem with the staff but the service becomes a problem. Clearly I'm still paying for this bike and I haven't even gotten to enjoy it the past few years because it's just been sitting in a corner catching dust cause no one knows what to do anymore. I recommend you avoid ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY unless it's provided by the MANUFACTURER. Because once again no one wants to take care of the customer when it comes to a bike having an issue that no one seems to actually know what it is. The main excuse I got for an couple of years was "COVID this COVID that" understandable to a certain point. But this has still gone longer than it ever should have. Great store and all but I'm sure there are better places out there. I'd suggest you give those a try before coming here. As for my bike still being at the dealership at Coleman Powersports at Woodbridge. Like anyone these kind of reviews will upset whoever. So anything that happens to my bike from now while in their possession, it is what it is. Wouldn't even surprise me. People have changed with the times and it's better to brush someone off than to deal with a situation. I myself have given up with the patience and effort. You can only get parts from them. I ordered a rubber o-ring and impeller for a 2.6 Outboard. Both parts weighed about three ounces ... they wanted over thirty bucks to ship it over two States. They put wrong address on my e-mail confirmation order, I called and changed it. SIX WEEKS LATER I call and the O-ring is on back order. I've been buying Coleman for 40 years .... not another DIME!! I am completely dissatisfied with my service experience. I dropped off my bike a 2016 Ducati XDiavel S 30March after speaking with Greg and service reps about what I need to have performed. In my case it was 1 recall and a warranty item. While Greg was very helpful and knowledgeable I had an expectation that the bike would be completed between 6-10April. This expectation was created by Greg telling me when I should expect the bike to be complete and ready. Of course today I call to get a status one business day after that timeframe and much to my surprise and severe disappointment nothing on my bike has started yet. While I appreciate Greg's apology this is a business and I expect it to perform as one. Expectations were set and now with the weather finally turning I am left with a wasted two weeks. Adding insult to injury I received another call back stating if I left the bike with Coleman's in Woodbridge longer it can be ready possibly by Saturday. How can I trust Coleman's service as a consumer that your business will meet the terms that were offered when they failed to meet the initial agreement? I am glad I didn't commit to bringing our other bikes in for additional recall work as was suggested by Greg. So.... this is why it matters where you buy your equipment from. I purchased a Polaris ATV for my son for his birthday and after seven months it was not starting correctly. I tried everything... filling (and overfilling) the oil. changing the gas.... etc. Went online and watched YOUTUBE videos to try and figure it out. We have only used the ATV once a week on a flat gravel road - never abusing it and the condition shows that it is still "like new". I was pretty disappointed. I even purchased the extended warranty but knew I would likely have to pay for the labor. Coleman WOODBRIDGE just called. It was determined that a part in the carburetor had become dislodged and both Polaris and the extended warranty company said that carburetors aren't covered. As I stared at the $371 service bill for a nearly brand new unit, the service manager said those magic words, "You aren't paying for any of it. We are going to take care of it internally. We value our customers and we disagree with the decision.... so we have you covered ..." Wow and Wow! When you buy.... buy from a company that cares more about customer relationship than making a buck. When I buy my next unit, I won't even shop it around.... read more

I bought my 2012 RT-SE5 used and decided I better take it to have its fluids changed and new brakes put on. My local place in Falls Church told me a month minimum for routine maintenance so I called this place. They were honest and said 10 days but to my surprise, the team got my bike back to me 3 days early. It did start leaking oil and needed to return a for a hose that was a bit costly after a huge bill for the fluids and brakes but they are so helpful and broke everything down. Told me I could get by for a long time without the new hose. They are super friendly and have a huge shop with gear! read more

I am completely dissatisfied with my experience. I just bought a Ducati and needed some parts replaced. On 18Apr19, I visited Coleman to get my rear tire replaced. When that was done, Greg recommended that I needed to replace my whole chain and sprockets. He stated that it is not good to ride the bike in that condition and I agreed. Greg said he would order the parts and asked me to put $250 down so I did. He asked me to leave my bike their until the parts come in and will work on it as soon as the parts arrived. Greg told me that parts will arrive on 21Apr19 and he will call me. I called on 22Apr19 and spoke to Greg and asked if the parts are in. He told me one his tech is on lunch and he will call me back to let me know. I did not receive the phone call so I called the next day. Greg told me that the rear sprocket is not there yet. He told me to call again next week (29Apr10 - 03May19). While Greg was very helpful and knowledgeable I had an expectation that the parts would be available on 30Apr19. This expectation was created by Greg telling me when I should expect the parts to be ready. It is 01May19 and I have not received any phone call yet. I am glad I did not leave my bike there. While I appreciate Greg's apology during our conversation, it is misleading to customers when you said one thing and it doesn't happen. How can I trust Coleman's service as a consumer that your business will meet the terms that were offered when they failed to meet the initial agreement? I am giving 2 stars because this business is the only business that day that helped me when I needed a tire replacement. Greg was very helpful and professional. Coleman is the worst. Service guys are good, but company is horrible. Also Kim in service is poor manager and lied to me. I entered my motorcycle in the auction and raised my minimum after it was running. I went to Celeste to check it was done (she is awesome) and she told me it was. But when it came to the auction it was at the lower minimum. I asked Kim about it after and she said she was going to waive the commission. I get my check and commission was taken out of it. Do yourself a favor and go bike a motorcycle from Bob's in Jessup or any other place then Coleman power sports. read more

So....after thinking about the motorcycle...and the test ride....I do like the bike. Which means that I am willing to open up the pocketbook a little more. It's a fun bike... I called Coleman to request the previous day's quote via email. The first call was transferred to voicemail. The second call was answered to a sales associate that was too busy, in the middle of a deal, to get me where I needed to go. He said to call back in 15 minutes. Needless to say, weather was coming in... and I needed to cut the grass. Based on the model of the bike I am interested in...with the potential sale of $12,000...one would be interested in talking. I still stand my 0-1 star rating. Unless you have cash on hand.....or make it known that you'll take the vehicle home the same day.......you get put to the back of line. Lessons to Coleman Powersports... If a gray haired guy riding a BMW comes into your dealership and expresses an interest in a $20,000 motorcycle, pay attention to him. He probably has money. If you ignore him, he'll go away and you will have lost a sale. If someone (same gray haired guy maybe?) asks your parts guy about a specific accessory for that $20,000 motorcycle, tell your parts guy not to automatically respond with "Nope, not made". It could just be that the gray haired guy knows something that you, Mr. parts guy, quite obviously don't. That single comment says that you don't know your stuff and it destroys any possibility of confidence in you. As a general rule motorcycle dealers seem to be hell bent on making you either dislike them or hate the experience of dealing with them. There are a few exceptions of course (Bob's BMW in Jessup, MD is excellent!) but for the most part, my experience at Coleman was, sadly, somewhat typical of what I've experienced at many motorcycle dealerships. I had every intention of riding a new bike home yesterday, instead, I'm still looking. I'll not go back to Coleman - not because they angered me in any way - but because I need to deal with people that are competent and attentive to my needs and I didn't find that here. read more

I have taken my bike to this place numerous times to get service done, tires mounted or safety inspection. With that said I have had mediocre and bad experiences. The staff in the service department is not overly friendly and even kinda short with you, especially when you call. But not so rude you want to run out of the door. This shop does not take appointments, so if you drop off your bike you don't know when they will start working on it or when you get it back. In the past I have had my cruiser sit there for 8 weeks for scheduled maintenance because, apparently the new air filter was not ordered. After another service, the intake boot separated from the carburetor, leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere. After a $200 tow they corrected it, no charge, but obviously this could have been avoided. The service department appears to be unorganized, creating backlogs of repairs and poor execution. Unfortunately, the Falls Church location is not much better. On the other hand if you go through the "Green Lane" you can get tires mounted and inspections done while you wait. This seems to work pretty well and was good idea to keep simple customer needs flowing quickly. But overall, I don't know anyone who has had a great experience at Coleman's. Unfortunately, options are limited and we need to go somewhere with our motorcycle needs. read more

Coleman's Service Department is absolutely the worse. It begins with the receptionist who is incapable of taking a detailed and accurate message to relay to the Service Department. Why would you leave a message with an incompetent receptionist you might ask? Because the Service Department literally never answers the phone. If by chance you happen to be lucky after calling numerous times, you're greeting as if you're bothering them. Save your money and time and shop around and visit a motorcycle business that will actually treat you like they want your money. Frustrated. I tried for 3 days to get in touch with their service department with no success. Finally I loaded my atv and made the hour trek to their location. Explaned my issue to the guy at the desk... no breaks, only to be turned away. They only work on models they carry. Mine is made by one of the manufactures they are a dealer for but that was not good enough. They outright refused to help. I just bought a used rzr and was hoping for a single shop to take care of my service needs but that is not an option here. Half way considered trading mine in for a new one there... them I thought ... do I really want to buy from these guys? They have refused help now... Accessory/clothing department has a very large selection and is worth perusing. Just don't try to return anything, they won't help at all. So I'll only buy stuff that I know I won't return. But their staff for clothing and accessories is helpful and fairly knowledgeable. Motorcycle salesmen are somewhat arrogant. Never was able to take anything out for a test ride. Prices are coded so you HAVE to speak with someone to find out prices on any vehicle. Service shop works well. They have helped me out in a pinch with opening a stuck saddlebag. They didn't charge me for the effort. The gents there are true professionals. read more
