Allen Schoppenhorst was a great sales guy. He was patient, knowledgeable and polite. The guys in the parts department were knowledgeable and helpful. Brandon, the guy who spent hours with us teaching us about our RV was as great as they come. He knew the answer to EVERY question. I'd have given the place 5 stars but the guy in the finance office (no clue what his name was) was defensive & a buck passer instead of helpful. He threw his co-workers under the bus when it really wasn't necessary. All we had a question about was an awning repair. He was a bit of a mess. Other than that, I have no complaints. read more

I have tried on many occasions to ask about their listed products on RVTrader through the contact (Or email) tab. As has been my experience, don't waste your time, they will not bother to answer. I guess they have all the new business that they need and don't want to be bothered with inquiries. I even went as far as trying to directly contact the two sales managers with my concerns and surprise, they didn't bother to answer either. This is the type of business that gives this industry a bad name and even though I tried to keep my business local, I guess I am going to have to go outside of Indiana to buy my next RV. Avoid Mount Comfort Rv. In Indianapolis They ordered a $500 part for me incorrectly (their mistake) and are basically telling me to shove it. I have purchased 2 rv's from them I have all my service and major repairs done by them and they are telling me I need to eat the part because they can't return it. read more

My husband and I just purchased a 2021 Bighorn 5th wheel from Mount Comfort RV last week & as previous RV owners (this is our 3rd time buying one), this was by far the best experience! Our salesman Keith J. was extremely nice, honest, helpful & more than accommodating...since the 5th wheel we were interested in was previously owned, he was very upfront & real about everything that was not perfect with it. After going to see the 5th wheel in person, there were a few issues that my husband & I wanted taken care of. On the day we came back to get it & take it home we were beyond pleased & impressed with the truly phenomenal job Mount Comfort's team did with their follow through on fulfilling everything we had asked for! They did an absolutely amazing, thorough & detailed job of getting our 5th wheel ready & meeting all of our expectations...they literally went above and beyond! I purchased a brand new 2021 Forest River travel trailer from Mount Comfort RV, I should have walked away when they were unable to figure out how the mechanical beds worked, when they realized it needed power they could not be bothered to get a battery and show me the features of the trailer. The sales process was very cold and did not make me feel good at all. Next issue is when I went to pick it up after they needed several weeks to get it ready, the screens and bed motor were missing and they said they needed to order them. The hitch frame had all kinds of writhing on it and the frame was rusting, they would not fix this and said this is how we delivery all of our trailers. This trailer is a toy hauler with the rear patio that is supported by cables, on day one of using this while standing on the patio, the cables broke and the patio dropped, the service department would not help me and the manufactures only solution was to send more cables, and offered not other help. I had to make new larger diameter cables myself. There are all the natural things that were wrong with the camper which I expected like loose screws and things breaking, It was also time to winterize my trailer, so in October when I called to get it in for service, they said it would be in February before they could get it in, So I had to do all the repairs and winterize it myself. Then when I did bring it in for service, (Awning Leaks, hinges stripped, red led on fuse panel) they said they would also do a free roof inspection.. After the camper was there for 2 weeks I called to see when it was going to be ready, they said there were 2 ahead of mine and it would be ready the next week, then next week came and went, and when I called, they said there was 2 ahead and it would be another week. Obviously this is there standard line of BS. When I did finally pick it up it was raining, I went in to get the key, and they did not escort me out to the camper to show me the work they did, they handed me the keys and said good bye. So when I opened the camper all the switches were in the on position but nothing was on, and they killed my battery. Then when I opened the bedroom door it was a bad leak from the roof vent so there was water everywhere. I went back in to let them know something must have happened while it was here because I had not issues before then, I expected them to come out and take a look, nope the response was you can just leave it here and we will get to it when our current service work load is clear. I stormed our and said forget it I will fix it myself just like I have had to do with everything else. Once I got it home, i got on the roof and you could see the split in the rubber roof from someone stepping too close to the vent. I also still have the red LED issue which they said they could not reproduce. They also sold me a weight distribution hitch the interfered with the safety change lug, so the only way to dethatch is to pull the pin the hitch and let tit drop as I pull the truck away. I asked them for help to fix this, they would not do it, they said they do not work on hitches. I asked for help with adding a battery, and solar panels, they would not help with this either. This dealership is completely worthless. Maybe it was because I only spent 40k with them and they do not need my business, I do not know how anyone would give them any good ratings, unless the treat there 100k+ customers differently. read more

Had a service appt for late May after for safety recalls for which I made way earlier in the year and when I made the appt I provided the recall number so they could order the parts. That was their request. After 2 weeks I called to pick the rv up to take it for other recalls. Found they never ordered the parts and it would not be ready until they are received so who knows. The fixes should only take a few hours to complete. This Rv has been pretty much unusable for a year now. read more

I thought going to a Family owned dealership would offer a better experience then Camping World,i was proven wrong!! Certainly equal or less!!! Salesman was ok-not pushy and honest to a point-however i dont think he researched the unit with much effort because i had asked about the owner's manual and he said he didnt know-yet i found a huge stack of manuals and receipts from previous owner..Where shit went really wrong was the misplacement of the title-and the fact that no one listened when we said we were moving to Florida and this is why we are getting the RV!!!--so a informational call to Lienholder revels that they should of sent me the title/that Mount Comfort still hasn't paid my trade in off all the way-and that they will ok it to be titled in Florida,,I call Mount Comfort asking for information-the title person swears i got the title-then realizes she still has it-i ask her what am i going to do about the check to the dept of revenue of Missouri if i tag it in Florida(as the lienholder said to do.--Rudely and down right bitchy she informed me like i was a thief that she was not going to issue another check until i sent her proof that i paid Florida taxes --mmmm how else would i ever freakin tag the RV if i didnt pay the TAXES!!!--if your in Indiana-just keep on going past the Mount comfort rv off ramp- i wont find myself buying there ever again-last RV-last dealer--both dealerships require a bottle of tylenol to deal with!! read more

Waste of time! Went out twice with intentions to purchase and disappointed with customer service. The prices are different from what was advertised online as well as what's posted inside the units themselves. Second time we went out to purchase a trailer we inquired about hours earlier and was told it was in stock and ready to take.... got there and it was sold. I am giving MT Comfort RV a zero star rating!! My husband and I bought a new 2019 class A motorhome at Mt Comfort in November 2020. We've had nothing but problems with Mt Comfort and the rv. We've had to fix the rv problems ourselves from day one. We had to get a new backup camera installed. Mt Comfort did not help at all with that. We had to call coachman ourselves and had the work done locally at an RV repair shop. Really the only person who was friendly with us was the salesperson. They make the sell, but don't care what happens afterward! We had a bad experience with the walk through before we took the rv home. The man said he was retired and was not interested in explaining anything to us!. He interrupted our meeting with his daughter wanting him to sign some paperwork for her! Very rude! We did have some warranty work done recently at Mt Comfort, which took two months to complete! We picked up our rv from Mt Comfort after the work was done. Not one person offered to go into the rv and show us the completed work! We did expect this! The work was botched up and looks horrible! WE will fix the work ourselves! We will not deal with Mt Comfort ever again! WE will never visit the store! If we end up trading our rv in we will go elsewhere! Very bad business and rude people! read more

I had looked forward to visiting the Indiana location. I realized their inventory was lower than normal due to higher than normal sales. What I did not expect was their lack of wanting to help a potential customer. Usually when visiting a car or rv dealer you are practically attacked by sales reps wanting to help. This was not our case. We had to ask to see a sales rep. He showed us a couple of models and basically told us to come back when we decided what we wanted in an rv. I saw one model I wanted to check out and he said that one was to expensive you don't want that. Since they are selling rvs as soon as they get them in stock, they no longer need to consider helping customers. Rest assured I will not go back there. read more

OK, I have had 2 horrible experiences with service at this dealership. The sales part was fantastic, and I am still in touch with the salesman who has proved time and time again to be helpful and informative. However, the service department (had I known) would have prevented me form buying from them. Both experiences required immediate service. The first was when the coach went dead and therefore unusable ( I could drive the coach, but neither shore power, generator, or inverter did not allow anything inside the coach usable. There first appointment they could give me was in 10 weeks. The second experience is even more outrageous. I received a recall notice that was both a safety recall, and request for "immediate service". The Mt Comfort service department was unable to give me an appointment earlier than in 3 months. I know the RV repair industry (both in quality and timeliness) is subpar. However I would think that as a factory authorized center AND the place I purchased my RV from, that they could do better. I also did not find them very nice about it either. With the usual problems that RVs have, I would look for a place that can not only sell the equipment but service it as well. read more

We went to Mount Comfort because we were looking for a used pop up camper that was under $4000 and still nice. Mount Comfort was our 3rd stop of the day, not counting looking at numerous models on websites. The first two dealers we stopped at really didn't seem super excited over selling cheap campers and they were displayed poorly. We felt that Scott (our salesman) treated us respectfully even though we were not after a high end camper. The camper we purchased was displayed right along with the nicer units and we weren't made to feel like 2nd class customers. I can only speak about our purchasing experience. We have not rented from them or used their service department. I would for sure buy there again and I would ask for Scott. We have had excellent luck with our camper. He's not a stereotypical high pressure salesman and he did us right. read more

worse dealer I have ever come across in my 45 years of RVing. Bought new Coachmen Class A from them and dealing with Mary was a nightmare. She screws everything up and because no one respects her there no one even though they know she is screwing up will help her. Can't blame them one bit. Except the customers are the ones that suffer. Unless you are paying 200000 or more for your Rv shop somewhere else. After moving to Florida and dealing with Coachmen direct did my nightmare get fixed. read more

This would be ZERO STARS if I could do that...took our ALiner to this ALINER DEALER to have the seals/weatherstripping replaced. They used the same crap foam installed by the ALiner factory, NOT the D-cell foam we had specified. Then, to be sure things were really messed up, they put the D-cell foam on the bottom half of the door and left the original foam on the top half of the door, thereby insuring the door would leak if the rain blew on it! We are replacing that seal ourselves. The management NEVER called me to try to make this right, even after I posted a scathing comment to their FB page. Horrible service and horrible management! Avoid this dealer at all costs unless you are in the middle of a total emergency breakdown! Even then I'd probably try to have it towed elsewhere! read more

I have been rving for a long time and been to a lot of dealers and this have to be the worst one I've ever seen...We were looking for a used class A motor home found Mount Comfort web page ...look through it saw some we were interested in looking at, so we e-mail and asked about one and they told us..So we made the trip to see it...Boy did we get a surprise it was a Air stream we were looking at first it went from a Diesel to a gas engine then all the pictures in the add were of another Air stream not this one ....this was not the worst of our of all ....I have never ever seen such dirty rv s for sale in my life not just one but a lot of them ..they could at least got off their lazy ass and run a vacuum cleaner though them...and have the guts to ask people to buy them but I will say one thing more...there are a lot more people out there there with Twenty five thousand to buy a rv then with Three hundred thousand...... read more

I bought a used toy hauler from them recently, they inspected it and as we walked around it we found more stuff that need replaced or repaired. ..they made notes of it and told me they would order the parts needed. This was clearly part of the purchase according to the salesman and the mechanic that walked around the trailer with me and my wife. Needless to say parts didn't show up and nobody returns my call to let me know what's going on. They also don't harmonize together. Every department has a different story. I have been flat out lied to. I might add since I know the mechanic does some NIGHT TIME WORK...I feel he was setting us up for that too. Out approx. $700. WOW! This company saved my group of friends from a disaster. After flying 5 friends in from all over the country for the INDY 500, we found out that another company didn't have an RV for us. I called Jo and Josh at Mount Comfort and told them my story and they performed a miracle that saved our trip from disaster. The customer service at this place is second to none. The RV rental process was great and the condition of the rental unit was amazing. They accommodated an impossible request and came through with flying colors. They have earned my business for life as I come to INDY every year and will be back for more excellent service! My 72 yr old parents took their trailer here to be fixed. The refrigerator kept shorting out. They waited weeks to have it fixed. They paid for it and were told it was fixed. They did not turn it on and stored it for the winter. Next spring, first time out, you guessed it - the refrigerator shorted out. They were were told they had to wait a month to have it looked at again. After waiting, this place said it was fixed AND CHARGED THEM saying it was a loose wire. They took it home. You guessed it - still shorted out. Upon return they were told they had to wait again! My father argued and was told to bring it back in two more days. Still awaiting the return - maybe the third time will get it fixed. read more

Our walk through conducted by Greg Shane was very informative. My only issue was our closing. We had an appointment for 9 am and didn't leave the dealership until 2:30. Crooked dealer! I contacted Mount Comfort to see about trading my RV for a used one they had listed online. The salesman told me that if I sent him the info on my RV he could give me a trade estimate. I gave him all the info he needed and he emailed me back with an estimate. I couldn't believe what I was reading! The trade estimate for my RV was literally a 1/3 of its LOW book value!!!!! I understand they have to make money and can't pay book value but a 1/3! They are trying to get rich on one sale! No thanks, I will take my business elsewhere! read more

Don't go here!! Stay away!!! This place will happily take your money and give you nothing but grief in return. They are unorganized and can not communicate within there own company. If you are buying used, don't believe them when they tell you they will fix everything that is wrong with it before you pick it up. What you can expect if you go here for service is them keeping your RV for a week and when you go to pick it up they will say "what was it here for?" And then "we did not get to it". They will then look at you for some kind of sympathy when they tell you they are short handed. Your sales experience will be pleasant and you will feel good and excited about it. This is just a facade........ they drop The ball and leave you no choice but a bad review warning others of there awfulness. There are so many choices in this area. Don't make the wrong choice. Coming from out of town with the second propane tank leak in two consecutive tanks from Wal-Mt. After discussion on the previous tests we performed with Steve in Service, Larry in Service agreed to check the propane tank first (instead of the RV lines) for additional leaks we couldn't diagnose. Larry found the leak on the tank. Mount Comfort RV didn't charge us for this service and were able to see the trailer and tank promptly. Thanks guys! We didn't even get to go in and are severely disappointed by the service! My husband and I were just passing through on the I-70 E and had been seeing billboards for Mount Comfort RV and figured we'd pop on in. We've been looking at Newmar coaches and wanted to see what this location had in stock and perhaps make a purchase. We did not check hours, because oooppps... I guess we were supposed to do that at 70mph before bothering to get off the freeway. We pulled onto the lot, turned the corner in the front of the business and were met by an old guy in a silver car who flagged us down. The parking lot was dead to say the least, so we figured they'd closed and he was going to tell us just that. Well...he did...just in not so many polite terms: "You need to leave now. I've gotta go close the gate." Seriously?! I can understand that the business had closed, and I can understand that the man wanted to go home, but just to tell someone...a customer to 'leave now' without so much as a kind word...we just wanted to give them $$$$$, but I guess if 'leave now' is how they treat all of their customers, we'll spend our cash with a company that welcomes its customers. I have been to used car dealers who treat its customers better (that's saying something). read more

Bought a 2015 Keystone Avalanche in Sept 2016, we discovered in Oct that we had a leak around 1 of the front slides causing more than half the floor to get wet, set up an appointment & took it in in Dec, they said they would only have it a couple of days had it for a week & still couldn't figure out where the leak was at. In Feb I called again about the leak, was told that they had us an appointment set for May 1st, I explained that we are living in our RV & that we needed this leak fixed now, I was told my the service department that I might try calling In-Motion RV service, so I did, he got us right in & 4 hours later he had our leak fixed. Apparently there were some screws in the top of the slide that wasn't tightened down, so he tightened them & caulked around them & we haven't had any more issues with it leaking. We have had several other issues with our 5th wheel that I'm beginning to think they sold us a lemon, NOT happy at all with Mt. Comfort. Of course the camper was used so there was no warranty & we weren't offered an extended warranty when we made the purchase, so that makes me think they knew there was some issues with this 5th wheel. read more
