The 30 mins were supposed to focus on upper and lower back, instead it was hands and arms complete with an over informing and nearly diagnosing of hypermobility. So glad I had the chance to try this place! I received a gift card this past Christmas and finally set aside time to go and use it. From the initial phone call where I set a last minute appointment for the next day, to walking out, my experience was wonderful. I had a Swedish massage and a sauna session, and both were amazing. This spa is excellent, it has been a good day due to an awesome massage therapist. The establishment was clean , staff were professional, pleasant and attentive. I do wish they had parking , although finding a parking spot was not difficult. Gabe is literally sent from the heavens themselves. I suffer from chronic migraines and tension headaches and his deep tissue massages are incredible relief for both. He instinctively knows how much pressure to use and the exact trigger points I need worked out, especially in my neck and shoulder areas. And don't get me started on the hand & arm massage. Ah-mazing. My gel mani & classic pedicure with Tiffany was similarly enjoyable. Relaxing, timely & expertly handled. My mani lasted 3 weeks- far longer than any previous mani. Top notch massage therapist Brian Lam owns and operates Skin Touch Therapy. I always request Brian or Kathleen. Deep tissue is the only way to go and they never disappoint! Completely over priced for infrared sauna. I just moved to this area from NY and I was paying $15.00 per 30 min or $30.00 per 60 min session in NY. They charge double that here and you don't get 30 min sessions its 20 min or 60. You just start to break the good sweat at 20 min so to pay $30.00 is crazy. This is sad especially for people that are using this for medical reasons like cancer (like myself). At the very least they should increase the 20 min session to 30 min and offer a deal on 5 or more sessions. ** I will edit my review to answer the owners response. There are 2 other facilities 1 in Woodbridge and 1 in Dale city that are both cheaper than your facility. There is also another place that is just re-opening as they moved from further north in VA to Woodbridge that is also cheaper. When I wrote my review about the prices/times it was based on having gotten 4 other prices first. I think that was fair. The prices may be feasible if someone is wealthy or going there for a SPA - DAY..but when someone is middle class and has a terminal illness and is doing it for health reasons then those prices are high...especially that they are even higher than spa's located in a more expensive area like Long Island and NYC. I would have just went with the other spa's however Skin+Touch was located closer to me. read more

I was in town for a long weekend getaway and decided I wanted to get a facial. I had booked the spa treatment about 4 days before traveling and thank goodness I did because there were very few appointments available. I was able to use their online appointment feature which was simple and convenient. The building is in downtown historic Fredericksburg which has amazing character and atmosphere. Richard was my esthetician and I cannot say enough good things about him; he is absolutely amazing! From the moment we met, he made sure I had the best experience possible. We had a brief consultation before the facial and he listened patiently while I pointed out my problem areas and voiced my concerns regarding my complexion. He was very knowledgeable regarding my skin (despite the minimal amount of time he had been working with me.) The products, and his techniques left my skin feeling better than it had in forever. Although my skin was quite sensitive post procedure, it looks amazing now! My problem areas are no longer as noticeable and I was able to also purchase products per Richards education to enhance my specific skin type and continue to focus on those areas. My awesome husband suggested that we go get a couples massage (something we haven't done in a long while). We usually go to Massage Evy in Stafford but I didn't want to drive that far and live close to downtown so in the spirit of Small Business Saturday I booked our massage at Skin + Touch. My husband have Michelle as for his massage and I had Niki. I enjoy and deep massage that really gets out all the knots and Niki was AMAZING. I felt great during and long after my massage was done. The environment was cozy and calm. My husband I both agreed today's massages where the best either of us have had. I have used Skin Touch before and received gift card etc... Told to book online and they could not hold my appointment without a credit card. Nice environment, friendly service. However, I felt it was a bit overpriced, even with the "premium" farmhouse fresh products. The pedicure seats, while very chic, were hard to get comfortable in with my sciatica, and the whole service was much shorter than I expected. Disappointed! My husband gave me a gift certificate for Christmas for two visits. Instead of having two massages for myself I decided to book a couples massage for Valentines. I wanted to share the experience with him. I scheduled a couples massage for 2/19 at 6:45 pm. When I scheduled the appointment I requested the hot stone massage as an add on. I explained that the hot stone was a must. We planned the entire day around this event. We arrived 30 min early, 6:45 pm came and went without anyone giving us an update about the delay. Around 7 pm the therapist informed us that someone failed to prepare the hot stones. Never-mind they sent several text and emails confirming our appointment. The front desk associate gave us a half baked apology. I requested for the appointment to be rescheduled for a time when the hot stones were available. The next Saturday appointment was in a month. If my husband had not already paid $200 I would have left and never returned. We decided to stay as we had already paid for a babysitter. The therapists walked us upstairs in an awkward silence. They showed us which table to lay down and walked out without saying a word. There was nothing special about the couples massage experience, basically two tables in a room. The massage was average, I expected better from a high end business. Honestly I have had a better experience at the $59 massage therapy locations. I am very disappointed! I am going out of my way to post a 5 star review for this place. I'm surprised to see I'm not alone! Not because this place isn't great, but I thought no one had heard of it! My husband has been for a couple of massages, and I have been twice for the Farmhouse pedicure (pro tip: it's like the Eco pedicure but with branded products). I love the decor, the staff is really kind and engaged, and even the music is jazz without the frenzy that can stress you out. Today was the first time I'd ever been to this spa, and the first time ever getting a massage. A coworker told me this is where she gets her waxing done and she loves it. I got the 60 deep tissue massage with Molly. From the moment i walked in to the moment i left i felt extremely welcomed and relaxed. I was offered regular water or a herbal blend of hibiscus water they have, and the herbal tea was amazing. The massage exceeded all my expectations and I've never felt more relaxed. Molly took great care to focus on areas that were tight for me and used lavender (after asking) and also used hot towels at one point. After the massage she offered me water again and took a few minutes to go over the knots she felt during the massage, and things i can do daily to help relax and not be so tense in my neck and shoulders. I already have my next 2 appointments booked and will recommend this spa to anyone and everyone! read more
