So glad we chose this place, on our way stopping through Durango! This darling little restaurant had a very laid back, comfortable atmosphere. They do a good business here, but the tables flip pretty quickly and they have really delicious complementary coffee while you wait. Great menu selections. Our breakfast was delicious! I got a seafood scramble of sorts and they use real crab meat. So yum! The potatoes, the sourdough bread with their amazing raspberry jam...omg, everything was sooooo good! The staff is friendly and attentive. The next time my husband and I are passing through Durango, we will definitely make a point to stop here again. read more

As sweet as the waitress were, the food unfortunately was not good.The French toast was burnt camouflaged with powder sugar as well as the cottage fries, minus the powder sugar. The bacon was fatty with no meat streaming through it. Maybe the kitchen staff were short handed. read more

We really love this place but have noticed in general that service is pretty bad. The servers seem to have their own agenda which doesnt correlate with the customers wants and needs, even when it's a week day and they're not super busy. We've been left with empty coffee cups, not been allowed to order when we say we're ready, or just been spoken to as if we're imposing on the restaurant. We always tip 20 percent or higher too. None of this really deserves 4.5 stars, although the food is great! I'd recommend ordering takeout read more

This place made me want to move to Durango. That and Durango is just a damn cool place. But this place was certainly icing on the cake. And not that supermarket cake frosting that's all Crisco and preservatives, no, I'm talking the good stuff made with a shitload of real butter. Hells yeah. Adorable little place off just a few blocks outside of downtown. Cool outdoor waiting patio because there is only room for about 4 people to wait inside. It's such a cozy wittle joint! Staff couldn't be nicer, friendlier, hip and cute. Delicious chorizo and eggs for me both times I went here (two days in a row baby!) along with sharing their MOTHER-EFFIN-FRESH cinnamon rolls that literally melted in your mouth and made you want to get on your knees to praise Jebus. This is my favorite place to eat breakfast in Durango. Insanely cheap. I think their French toast is like 4 bucks, and it's the best I've had in my life. The servers are kind of dry on the friendliness scale but it doesn't matter because the food is so good. read more

The service was fast and very friendly. They offer a cup of coffee while your waiting Nx kid toys and books. My son loved reading the books. The French toast was awesome!! A last quick stop for breakfast before departing Durango. My local friend brought us here. A pretty good little local restaurant. I tried the turkey fried steak (which I have never heard of) which comes with eggs & toast...not bad! Service was quick and the staff were attentive. Breakfast is a difficult review for me...because there are just so many ways you can prepare a breakfast egg...and over the years, I've tried all the various preps...although the turkey steak was good, the eggs were just average. Stumbled into this place looking for breakfast. We got very lucky and got seated right away but shortly after lots of people arrived and wait time increased to 30 minutes.Definitely worth the wait. They have great menu options, very good coffee and excellent raspberry jam available. Will be back again to try many other items on the menu. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, big fan of this place. I have been coming here for years, and it is recently under new ownership and just seems to have a brighter cheerier feeling to it. The great parts of the menu are still there with expansions in a lot of areas. I am a huge fan of the huevos there, with chicken, and get both the red and the green chili's with it. The have an expansive Benedict menu, and great breakfast burritos. Their pancakes are fantastic too. If there isn't something on this menu that you like for breakfast, you just don't like food. Locationally, it is a bit off of main, which is a good and bad thing. It is a bit out of the way, but easier to find parking and sometimes means that there are less crowds. It is not that big, so if there is a crowd, the wait can get to be fairly substantial, and due to its location, you don't get to just say lets go walk to somewhere else. It is definitely worth checking out, and doing it again, and again. Yup, big fan. read more

Great breakfast stop in Durango. Skip the continental breakfast, McDonald and even Starbucks. The college drive cafe has delicious food, great staff and it's totally affordable. The homemade biscuit and gravy, French toast and special omelet of the day were off da hook. Fresh and yummy. Great way to start our day and trip home. I always hit this place up before I get on the slopes. If you get there early enough like at 730 or 800am you don't have to wait at all. It's a local joint with some super delicious non egg breakfasts. The potatoes are wonderful and they compliment the majority of the breakfast options. The blueberry pancakes were delish. They're homemade and definitely are in a ranking of their own. I also ordered the Southwest Benedict - it was alright, but didn't taste exactly as I imagined. I popped into College Drive for lunch on a quickie house scouting trip to Durango. Their staff were low-key and friendly, and I appreciated their subdued location off the tourist strip. The huevos rancheros (no beans, side of avocado) were excellent. I regretted not being able to sample their coffee, but was already caffeinated after my 5+ hour drive there. Just had a very nice breakfast at the NEW College Drive Cafe. The new owners have really cleaned-up and brightened-up the place. And, it still has that "cozy" feel. Our dishes were smothered green chili that had great flavor. The home fried are real sliced potatoes with the skins still on and were good too.
