I too had a horrible experience with service. I worked in customer service at a high end jewelry store before and I couldn't help but compare. I was always told the customer is everything! Especially when you know they are there to spend thousands of dollars. I did NOT get that experience at colley ford. I gave a two star instead of a one because after my rants he did try to accommodate my needs. First off, the sales person flat out lied to me! Said that I couldn't use their finance unless I purchased the extra warranties. Not only that, but prior to asking about it, they automatically included the extra warranties into a monthy payment calculation without my knowledge. I finally asked for an itemized break down and that's when I had to figure it out. Then when it came down to getting the car, they said it would be at the dealership by 12pm. That turned into 9:30pm!!! I could go on and on but not only were they liars, but I got the attitude from them. I ended up telling them to drop the car off the next morning because I was so pissed and felt it should be on my time, not theirs. Sure, to make up for the lack of service the vehicle was dropped off at my house... DIRTY! It didn't even get cleaned! He gave me a one free car wash on his business card. I came here yesterday afternoon (3:30) to get a key and was told to come back tomorrow at an earlier time. I came back today but was scared to death reading all the one star reviews as I was waiting for a spare electronic key to be made for my Edge. I had conversations with at least 4 employees and they were all polite and courteous. I even had one employee enter the waiting room to check to see if he could be of any assistance. My key service was completed in 50 minutes (they told me it would take 60-90 minutes). $235 for a key seems pretty ridiculous but I called a locksmith and was quoted $260. Nothing spectacular either way relative to their service as far as I'm concerned; however, with reviews like the negative ones listed here, I'd be bending over BACKWARDS and going OVERBOARD to make my customer's rave about their experience. We bought a used Fusion here in May after a near month long search. We are from Bakersfield so it was a bit of a drive. When we arrived the ladies in the internet sales department were extremely friendly and had the car pulled aside and ready for us to test drive. My one star rating goes out to them! However that is where the outstanding service ended. We walked in knowing exactly what we wanted with a preapproved lending offer from our bank. When drawing up the numbers, our salesman and the loan guy kept trying to sell us on various upgrades including a lo jack system which had been previously installed on the car as it was used as rental. When we signed our contracts it was late at night and the service/parts department was closed. However Colley Ford agreed to replace the rear air vent as one of the toggles was broken, as well as replacing the floor mats that were not in the vehicle. We were told a service tech would call us the next business day to confirm the ordering however after several days we did not receive a call. When my husband called them to remind them, they threw a tantrum about replacing the parts and insisted that said parts did not exist. My husband had to research and provide the part numbers to them in order for Colley Ford to order them for us. One of the main reasons we purchased a vehicle here was because of the dealer warranty. We were told that their cars go through an extensive 72 point check before being sold including fixing any outstanding recalls. However, after a few weeks of owning the car it started to over heat and I took it into my local dealership to be fixed. It turned out that there was a hole in one of the hoses that most likely was there when we bought the car and progressively got worse as time went on. There were also 3 recalls that had not been previously fixed. So much for the extensive checks Colley Ford said they performed! In addition, I was told there was a $100 deductable for each time I brought the car in to be serviced. I was never made aware of this when I purchased the car. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle and have another option other than this place, use it! read more

Very poor customer service. Our lease contract came to an end and we didn't want to purchase the vehicle at their price (+$500 just to purchase it, ludicrous). The service department is also bad. As part of our lease agreement we performed scheduled maintenance and there were times when they turned us away knowing that we hit the specific milage interval. They said because they were full for the day. What kind of business turns away work? Especially work required by a contractual agreement they created. Onto their people skills, they are horrible. I understand that they have to make ends meet with their sales goals, I'm a salesman, but they are so out of line. A call came in from them once giving us the option to return the car before the contract ended, so we went to the dealer and they talked down to us the whole time because apparently we couldn't return the car before the contract expired, they can only "sell" it. So why did they call us several times with the same sales strategy? I'll never forget the Hispanic man that was condescending to my father. Do NOT go to Colley Ford. Head over to Duarte or Chino Hills Ford. They have better customer service. You can rest assured they lost a customer today. read more

I pulled my car up to the service department. Walked over to the service office and was ignored by the guy sitting at the desk that was writing. Shortly after he looked up and barely said a full sentence to me. Regardless of the lack of conversation I left my car but only because it needed a oil change really bad. I recently purchased a Subaru from Colley Ford and have to say that Lyndon Doyle ensured that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. From test drive, to negotiating, to financing, I did feel like he was trying to get me the best deal possible. After financing the car, he even provided me with some of the employee lunch (I had been there since 10am without having eaten anything, and by 2pm was extremely hungry). He also drove followed me to CarMax (15 min drive away) to ensure that I could turn in my old car to help with my down payment, and then came back with me to the dealership. Lyndon was an incredible person to work with and made me feel like I was making the right decision. This man deserves a raise!! As for the actual car buying process - the Kahu security system that is not directly advertised through TrueCar/online is an extra $1,700 on top of the listed price + tax - not something you want to be surprised with when you have a strict budget. Management was willing to bring down some prices and overall I felt that I paid at least market price if not a slight discount for the car - nothing major, but definitely affordable. read more

My family and I have been using colley services for years. I'd have given 5 stars any other time but my past 2 experiences have been less than satisfactory. The previous cashier was much more friendly and courteous, and even assisted with AAA member discounts. The new cashier who has helped me the past 2 times refuses the discount now saying needs to be through the service writer and then said it's just 10% not that much in savings. Everything adds up over time, so more empathy towards a customer is greatly appreciated. While I understand procedures are what they are she could have handled this with much more thought and consideration. After 20+ years of family business i am more inclined to seek business elsewhere. Despite giving these guys numerous opportunities and benefit of doubt I would rate zero starts if given the option. By far the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership and here's why: 1) the technician performing services is not thorough, did not inspect vehicle properly and my report came back half finished 2) tried to scare me into buying a new car by telling me I needed more repairs then the car is worth, which by the way is only 5 yrs old and paid off 3) had a 8:30am appt for oil change and tire rotation, dropped the car off at 7:30am. I started calling service to find out about the car at about 1:30pm, first call no one knew anything, second call 3:30pm still not finished and finally the third call at about 4:30ish to tell me they are just getting started!?! Told me the tags for the vehicles got switched and mine was moved down . 4) tried to order parts; I was laughed at, mocked and even made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about . I should have listened to the reviews. My sunroof doesn't close on my Ford. Made an appt for Monday at 8am. Dropped it off, rented a car. Today is Wed. & it is almost 3. I just heard from them. No one has come out to look at my car & it will take a few more days for for them to get a different company to come look. Um, what?! They suggested we take it to Upland Ford instead. I am incredibly upset. With them & myself for knowing better. Update: Kimberly from Colley phoned today & was concerned about my experience. I have had 7 Ford trucks and have never had a Dealer problem. DO NOT GO TO COLEY FORD, I have made an appointment for my NEW TRUCK to be serviced for another new problem in which I can not drive the truck. It is stuck in 4x4 mode. My truck has sat in the Dealership now for two days and nothing. Their excuse is that they have no available racks to put the truck up on. They have refused to get me a rental "because they have not diagnosed it yet". My last repair took 4 returns and many parts to get the problem fixed. After over $2000 in parts it turned out being the $57 switch. Which is what I told them was the problem. Coley Ford Ripped off Ford Motor Corp. For Warranty work. I should have followed after the negative reviews seen on here. I stopped by today with no appointment around 245p.m. I pulled up to the service station empty with no other visible cars waiting and the techs hanging out talking to each other, I knew for a fact they were not busy. I asked the gentleman there that I needed an oil change on my vehicle which he replied, sorry we are closed?! So I asked him what time do you close and says at 4p.m.!! Keep in mind that their service techs where out and about doing nothing with a service line empty, I informed him that it is 245 so how could they be closed????? He said that they only help those with appointment at those times and that their techs were gone for the day!!???!! At this point I am baffled, jaw dropped and everything, I further asked, arent those your technicians? He then says yes but they are closing!!! This is at 245 p.m. I am honestly never coming back to this place, I was referred by a good friend and let me tell you that my experience was less than stellar, it was pathetic! I will make sure to pass my word along to NOT go here as they treat you with no regard, respect and think you are an idiot! (Manager, instead of replying to our comments with lies, correct the issues brought forth here. I do not care what you have to say, I recorded the whole thing and frankly is just pathetic.) Worst Ford dealer ever... I live very close, and hate, I mean HATE to go to this dealership. The Service department is the worst. I have to drive 10 miles to another dealership because this one is so awful. It's not convenient to get my 2 Fords serviced so I now am forced to do a lot of the work myself. That brings me to the Rip Off Parts Dept. Always have to way overpay for parts. Over list price. Well I guess if no one in going to the service dept, and your forced to buy parts from them, They are going to Lay it to you. I needed a part and prefer Genuine Ford parts, so I check around and it's $58 at other dealers but they didn't have one in stock, so I'm forced to buy it here. Oh yeah $98. The salesman who helped me was Myles. Initially I felt bad because I knew I didn't have any intention of buying a car that day --- but had a ton of questions and wanted to go for a test drive. So right off the bat I left him know those things. (With previous car buying experience I thought that might make him shut down on me, knowing I wasn't going to be a sale.) THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALLLLL. Myles was very patient and attentive to all my questions. Product knowledge was on point. I told him about convince features I wasn't willing to let go of from my Audi. He told me which trims would fit my needs/price range. I knew nothing about mustangs other than the fact I liked how they looked. HAHA. I didn't leave with that overly aggressive pushy feeling most sales people give off! Ford doesn't want to acknowledge that there is an issue with the computer (not even sure if that's the case) that regulates the transmission. Every person I've spoken that owns a Focus has the same issue with hesitation and surging when accelerating from a stop. The first time I brought it in, they said the issue was resolved and it just needed a software update. Same week and still same issues. Brought it back and they said the computer is not picking up any issues and they can't recreate the problem I'm experiencing. Goods news I guess but when they took the car off the rack, they punctured my tire and needed to replace the wheel. The tire isn't in stock? How is that possible with one of their best selling cars? They replaced the tire and wheel the next day but they must've hit another tire and decided not to tell me because a week later, rear passenger tire exploded. They claim it's a road hazard but the 2 inch gash on the side wall says otherwise. Has to be tire integrity because they replaced it for free. I can't see myself going back to Colley for anything. BTW, the transmission problem is gone for now. Very disappointed in Ford. read more

Valerie my sales person took exceptional care of me when I purchased my 2017 F250 platinum. But the care didn't stop there, she has touched base with me every quarter to make sure my truck is still running correctly and meeting my expectations. I took my daughter's car for its very first service/ oil change. I dropped off the car in the morning and the car was ready I picked up in the afternoon. I paid for the oil change and nobody warned me about any further problems on the car. They gave me the receipt, I left, and when I got home read the receipt. To my shock and awe the receipt said they found a nail in my right front tire. It didn't say they fixed it. I went outside and there it was,, right in the middle of my tire. Nobody advised me at the dealership about this nail. Nobody called me prior to me picking up the car to ask me if they should fix it. I left there thinking my car was in perfect condition and that was not true. I could have gotten on the freeway and had a blow out. So I believe this dealership endangered my life. Drop off my ford focus last night for an oil change, waited for their call so i can pick it up today March 31, 2016. Never called me so I called them, its 1:10PM, said they haven't got to my car yet, it will be the next car they will take care of. WHAT?!!!! It was very difficult for me to give this service department even 1 star! Update:1:31 PM Spoke to John, the Service Manager. Said there was a misunderstanding on their part. The Service tech that wrote up the job last night didn't ask me what time would I pick up my car. So they think they can keep my car the whole day. WOW! Told John, when I spoke to Desiree, I told her I would need my car around noon time the next day, yes she said she can't guarantee but for me for an oil change, it would be near impossible NOT to be done by noon time. I was not impressed with the employees at this Ford location.My husband and I were looking for a Ford Raptor and were helped by a woman who was nice but didn't really go the extra mile to sell us the truck. She quickly opened it up and watched us while we sat inside (it would be nice to be given details or be asked if we wanted to test drive) she just seemed really unmotivated.We were interested in custom ordering a Raptor so she went to go get her manager and came back and said "My manager has had a busy day and is asking for you to go to his desk." Ummm isn't the manager supposed to go the extra mile to meet you and sell you the car but instead he was too busy to come to us the POTENTIAL BUYERS and answer a quick question?!When we walked up to him he was extremely unfriendly and when my husband went to shake his hand he gave him a fist bump....it's cool to not take us seriously cause we're young and because we're young they assume we're dumb but it was a mistake cause we ended up buying one that very same day in Placentia with an amazing salesman (Nate) who instantly pulled out the Raptor for us,showed us awesome videos of what it can do,took us for a test drive and treated us like he knew us for years!I would say the manager needs to know how to be a manager and maybe keep his employees happy cause they seemed really unhappy. read more

I have a very stressful situation regarding my car as it had a blown head gasket and was still under warranty. I had gone to a different Ford location in Puente Hills and they talked a great game but either tried to screw me into paying cash, or didn't want to do the warranty fix. I brought my car to this dealership instead after having family have positive experiences here and the team was fantastic. I worked with Eric who is a service rep and continuously communicated with him. They even provided me with a temporary vehicle that was a brand new F-150!! I did not want to give him back for my tiny little Fiesta I drive. After a lot of delays with getting the new engine into the country given the government shutdown, I finally got my vehicle back after a little over a month. Did a fair amount of negotiating with Dale, the sales mgr, and I got it. I also shopped online for the warranty and got it for significantly less. Norma, in finance, thought it was funny that I negotiated down with Dale, however when I asked her to come down on the price of the warranty she got mad, was snappy with me and sent me out of her office. They eventually offered to come down on the price of the warranty but I declined. I didn't think Norma deserved to get a sale on that. I purchased the same Ford warranty elsewhere for $500 less than what she originally "offered" me. Overall I am pleased with the deal I got, but I did my homework, stayed firm and polite and wouldn't budge over what I wanted. read more

I called with some questions regarding the Ford Focus EV, and the representative I spoke to barley knew what I was talking about, and didn't know the car was even 100% electric. She even admitted to not knowing about EVs very much and got my information so someone could call me back. While I appreciate the honesty, the lack of knowledge is unacceptable. I don't expect everyone to be experts on new technology, but when this is what you sell, I expect one to at least know the basics. I would not recommend purchasing a car here. We had a factory recall issue and the car kept stalling. we decided to go to this dealer because they are closest to our home. Big mistake. The staff does not communicate and they ate RUDE. Specifically MARK. He couldn't be bothered to discuss the problem with the car and when my husband tried to tell him we had taken it to our personal mechanic and let him know what occurred, he looked away and ignored him. He was rude on the phone and in person. To make matters worse, we picking the car up later after it was "repaired" and it stalled on the way out. They never test drove it!!! We took the car to Advantage Ford in Duarte the following morning and they even gave my husband a ride home! Told him they will pick him up when it's done. I just bought a Ruby Red 2016 F150. It is late in the year so we were having a hard time finding the exact one we wanted. I called the Internet department and David said he found a couple so I went down to Colley Ford and spoke to Jim and Nick. Nick worked hard and found THE PERFECT truck I was looking for. In transportation it got a chip in the windshield and also there was a couple of hazy spots in the paint. Nick said they would fix it all, and they did. It wasn't even Colley Ford's fault but they fixed it all to perfection for me. I went back recently to look for an f150. I was helped by Lindon. Probably the coolest guy at the entire place. He got me a good deal and i left that day with the truck. Highly recommend talking to him if you are in the market for anything. He doesnt give you the run around and is upfront and honest about everything. I was worried about insurance on the new truck so he even hooked me up with his insurance guy! He even gave me tacos and introduced me to new music. I was told he would have to check to see if the car was in stock. By the time we called me back, I was already on my way to see another car at Chino Hills Ford. He continues to harass me via multiple phones calls and emails. Each email gets progressively aggressive. And getting calls multiple times a day. I soon block phone numbers calling my from Colley Ford. A few days later, I get 5 "blocked" calls from Jose Enciso in a matter of 5 minutes. I finally answer and was rudely greeted "Hi, Chris, this is Jose". No mention as to who he is calling from or what he wants. He proceeds to ask if I bought another car and I said yes. He then gets very mad and says "Why didn't you tell me so I could take you off my call list." I shouldn't have to call him and let him know that. I tell him please remove from you list. He then says "STOP BEING RETARDED" and then hangs up! So I promptly call the dealer and talk to a "supervisor" Lou. He was extremely rude and short. Did not seem to care about his abusive and harassing employees. Tells me he will take care of it but I highly doubt that. I am now going to file a complaint with corporate. STAY AWAY! read more
