An Exceptional Experience. After receiving a poor repair job (Paint did not match and my door and trim did not align, the shop and insurance adjuster claimed the repair was correct) from another body shop, recommended by the insurance carrier of the man who hit my car in a parking lot, I was rear ended by an SUV. Having a terrible experience with the last repair performed at a body shop recommended by an Insurance Company, my boyfriend who is in the Insurance Industry suggested I take my car to Collision Body Specialists! Jim and the staff at Collision Body Specialists were exceptional. They went above and beyond to help me out. They not only repaired the damage caused by this accident, they discovered that with the last repair the paint on the right side of my car did not match the left side, in addition they discovered that the previous repair had misaligned my door and rear fender! They worked with both the Insurance company from the woman that rear ended me and went back to the other Insurance Company that referred me to the bad shop and got them to pay to correct the bad repair. When I got my car back I was finally happy with the way it Looked, my door and trim was aligned and the paint matched. I am not a car expert but I am a Technical Designer in the Fashion Industry and can tell when colors don't match and things do not align! All in all, I was extremely happy with the repair work and paint job. The fact that Jim went out of his way to make sure my car was repaired correctly and fought with the Insurance Company to make sure it was done right will never be forgotten! I have learned my lesson not to use the Shops recommended by Insurance Company's as I feel their main objective is the Happiness of the Insurance Company. Amazing! I was reffered here by a friend who had previously had an accident and brought their jaguar here. I brought in my 2013 Land Rover. The staff was extremely polite and accomodating. Beyond the actual repair, they washed and even waxed my car so it looked brand new when I got it back. Better than it had looked before the accident! Their estimate was dead on and the work was done quickly. Can't say enough nice things about this place! I had previously taken my car to a Pep Boys auto shop to get new brakes, new fan, thermostat and a few other things. Few weeks later my car broke down in the middle of the road on my way to work. I was referred to Jim Marquardt at Collision Body Specialists by my boss who had mistakenly thought I had been in an accident, so he sent me to a body shop. Though they are a collision repair shop, they still took in my car and fixed EVERYTHING! They had found that Pep Boys had used off the market parts in my car and Jim even called them for me to help try to get my money back! They also hooked me up with a free rental car for 2 of the days my car was in the shop (total of 4). They even replaced the battery and alternator and got me a deal there too. My car has been through quite a bit and I've been to a handful of auto repair shops, all who have screwed me over or have not completely fixed problems resulting in multiple visits by me. From Collision Body my car was returned to me 100% fixed and also shiny and clean, which was refreshing. Both Pep Boys and the Ford repair shop I have previously visited this year (I drive a 2005 Mustang) left my car a mess. Ford almost ruining the floor mats with their muddy shoes because they failed to lay down floor mat covers. I will never go anywhere else. A friend recommended this body shop as I needed some minor body work done. I can't say enough about the outstanding work they did on my car. My 10 year old Honda Pilot looks brand new and the price was a fraction of an earlier bid I received. 2015 Range Rover, front end accident. They did a great job. Worked with Miguel and he was very professional. Very thorough discussing process with insurance, repairs, timing. From out of state so the assistance and ongoing updates were important. When picking up noticed some paint overrun onto lower grill. Needed vehicle then so Miguel said that when available call and he will have it picked up and touched up. Month later I called from out of state. Miguel had me send location and pickup instructions (I sent a key fob). Vehicle was picked up, touchup and back. When I came back it was all set and perfect. DO NOT GO HERE. I had recked the left side of my Range Rover a couple months ago and needed it fixed ASAP. These people had my car for OVER a month. Kept giving me false finish days... told me it would be done one day and then oops never mind it's going to be a whole 2 more weeks.... are you kidding me. After I spent 600+ on a rental and lyfts they FINALLY decide "oh maybe we should give her a free rental car" Then once I finally got my car back, everyone I open my door it literally makes a loud gunshot sound.... so basically they had my car for a month and still couldn't fix the damn thing right. And there was no way in hell I was going to call and complain and get it fixed. That's how bad they are to the point where I'd rather just listen to my car gunshot every time I open my door. read more

This place is horrible. They take on way too many jobs causing them to take forever to fix your car. They had my car for over a month. This should have only taken 2 weeks tops. The guy I was dealing with is named Harry. Every time I would call to find out what was going on, he would give me the runaround. He would always promise me a phone call to keep me updated but he would never call. When I finally picked up my car I found that a few of my belongings had been stolen. An pricey point and shoot camera and a Leatherman Multi-tool. I probably should have taken them out but I always liked to keep them with my car. When I called to let them know, the owner said "Dude, bro. I asked everyone in the office and they said they didn't take it." NO KIDDING? They didn't admit to it?! Super A$$holes. I was referred to Harry at Collision Body Specialists from Miller Honda in Van Nuys. Long story short: I had a small hole cut into the side of my car from a rogue gate that closed on my car as I was driving through. My insurance company had me go to one of their body shops and their estimate was nearly $300 more than the estimate that Harry had given me; plus they wanted the car for 5 full days. Harry and his crew stuck to the original estimate, had the car back to me in a timely manner, and gave me some leftover paint to use for emergency touch-ups! The car looks like new - I was so pleasantly surprised. They did a fantastic job and I am VERY happy. They also have a Hertz rental right in the shop which is a huge help, and the woman who is in charge of it is so nice! Actually, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I sincerely hope I do not have to visit them again soon (only because that would mean damage to my car) but if I did, I would be happy return to Collision Body Specialists. Since my car is a lease, I will be bringing it back to CBS before I turn it in to make sure it's in tip-top shape! The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the communication could've been a little better (this is my first time having to leave a car at a shop so perhaps they are on par with other shops; but my car is very important to me so I wanted updates!). I called in to check on the car and make sure everything was on time. Harry always answered his phone, and in one case called me right back with information so I do appreciate the effort once I made those calls. read more

I had some scrape damage on my Mazda that I didn't want to use insurance for, and I also didn't want to just pay it. It was nothing really major, but still - you COULD see it from across the street so it was bugging me. After getting three estimates, Collision Body Specialists' estimate was about 30% less than the others so I decided to go ahead and have the work done. This was a Friday and they could schedule the work to start on Monday. I took the car in early on Monday (they open at 6:00am during the week), and was told it would be ready Friday afternoon. Wednesday about closing time they called to say the car was ready to pick up. I got there late on Thursday. My car is PERFECT. And not only that - when I took it in it hadn't been cleaned in well over a month, so it was pretty dirty inside and out. They had completely detailed the ENTIRE car. It literally looked like it did when I purchased it. The glass was perfect. I was really really impressed. I'll add that all the folks I dealt with along the way were VERY cool (Jim - the owner - is super nice), positive folks (something you don't usually find in a body shop) - it was just a terrific experience all around. And - I've had body work done before and I've NEVER had the work completed on time. Usually not even close. Great people, superior work, great pricing and they beat their deadlines. I had gotten hit in the back at a traffic light years ago, and the previous collision place did a poor job on the paint, it looked faded compared to the mirror like finish on the front of the car. Out of the 3 range rovers I've owned my boy emron has had to fix 2 of them over the years and I've been totally delighted, he even gave us touch up paint for my rims which were color matched to perfection.
