Food is a bit pricey but is nothing less then satisfying and there is something for absolutely everyone. The drinks are great and they can make you anything you can think of. The staff is friendly, the music is great and the winery itself is absolutely beautiful with pond and lake views along with a beautiful venue and numerous bar and food options

I discovered this treasure by Lake Ontario recently and couldn't believe I'd never been! It was so beautiful and quaint with a little pond to sit by in Adirondack chairs. There were multiple building where you could order a drink, order food, do a wine tasting or attend an event. They made a fabulous peach mule! I had a sweet Riesling that was perfect. It is dog friendly, which was perfect for us. We can't go anywhere without our dog. We were new so I asked the staff a lot of questions and they were super helpful. We will be back!

What a FANTATSIC and absolutely GORGEOUS resort like winery. This place is the crème de la crème of Wineries. Living in Long Island and having explored CA, NY, CT, VA, France, and Italy wineries, we believe this place, aesthetically is on par or better than any other place. The beautiful buildings, setting on Lake Ontario, a beautiful pond, along with a catering hall, separate tasting room house, great Kitchen and outdoor full bar, and a great drive up road, this place ranks #1 in my book. The wine was decent, overall. There are 2 that were surprisingly very good, their sparking wine and Casa Bianco. Pizza, salad, sandwiches were excellent too. Love this place and the vibe was great. They have live music and even weddings going on within this vast, diverse, landscape on a huge hill that take you down to the water.

We were here previously for a wedding, but this time it was drinks, dinner and fun. We sat outside by the wine bar, near the lake. It is a beautiful property and just was such a perfect afternoon. We had a mixture of draft beers, mixed drinks and wine. It's always nice at a winery to have other choices for beverages. We ordered at the counter and got a "buzzer"(?) to let us know when our food was ready. They have appetizers, sandwiches, salads, wings and pizza. There was even a special price for pizza on our visit. My friend and I shared wings, salad and pizza. Everything was delicious! Cooked and seasoned beautifully, it looked great and portions were very nice size. The wings were Asian sweet and spicy ( they looked burnt but weren't), the Vineyard salad and Mushroom and Pepperoni pizza. They also had a musical Bingo game which was so much fun we all played and I even won a couple of prizes.

My daughter has a lake house near Colloca so we decided to do a day trip. Absolutely beautiful views. Staff was friendly and food was good! Our group did drink a bottle or two :) Plenty of parking. The banquet facility had some work done (ah the smell of new wood!). Hopefully they can host some events (weddings, etc.) soon!

I am a California wine country regular. I call Napa, Paso Robles, and Temecula "home" on the weekends. Saying this is not a brag, just an establishment that I love AND know my wine. Colloca Winery is a stunning venue. I have only been to two wine estates that can compare in beauty. The staff seemed knowledgeable and we're quite friendly. The wine was good, well priced and tasty. Honestly, though, I would have killed for an ice wine or dessert wine; something, other than a beautiful setting, to make this a destination.

I stopped in here on a Saturday with a small group of people to enjoy the views and the good wine. We made a reservation for a table, which was a good idea considering how busy they were! We were seated quickly and brought menus of their food and wine/cider options. They had a big assortment and offered flights of wine as well as cider or beer which was great. Our waitress was funny and checked on us frequently and also knowledgeable about the food they served. We got a pear pizza and some calamari for the table, you are also still currently required to order food. Overall I found it a little expensive for what you got, but it was beautiful inside and tasty. I'd just keep in mind that you're paying for the atmosphere. I'd recommend a stop in!

Wow! We found this place as "something to do in the area" on yelp. It ended up being one of our favorite places on our entire trip! Absolutely beautiful, the food was the best that we have had since we got here. The winds were awesome, the bartenders were great. The scenery was spectacular. They also have really good weekly specials. Here's a little tip, the bartenders are really nice about letting you sample some of the drinks as well. The pizzas were amazing! Margherita and pesto pizzas were phenomenal and the Mac and cheese was huge and had a great Smokey flavor. Honesty, that may have been the best Mac and cheese I've ever had!! My kids really enjoyed checking out the fish, turtles, and frogs that were in the pond. What an incredible place to enjoy a drink, have some excellent food and let the kids run around. If you're in the area, or even if you're not it's worth stopping, by! They are getting ready for some fun live music tonight as well!

What an lovely place to visit especially during quarantine. The scenery is so peaceful with the fountain pond. There are many tables and chairs to sit with family and friends. We were here this afternoon and it was wonderful. Make sure to order food FIRST before ordering alcoholic beverages- it's the law now. We ordered the Charcuterie board and the Blue Hawaiian and Mango Cider. Absolutely one of the best drinks I have ever had - the Blue Hawaiian is to die for! If Cruising was a flavor Blue Hawaiian for sure! We also tried their delicious Raspberry Ice cream and Wine slushees. The winery was a perfect getaway and a place to feel like a human being in the summer. Everyone was social distancing and giving each other space. It was delightful and we cannot wait to go back!

Great place that can cater to quite a few different venues. The property is owned by a doctor and his family. They have a house on the property for personal use, a wide open field that is used for wedding ceremonies with a tent and indoor space for the reception. On the property there is also a nice sized winery that is local made from the fields on the property along with others of course. And everything is close by which is great because there is a bar & a place to eat pizza freshly cooked in the fire oven. The property has a lake and another body of water on the side with a gazebo to relax at. But the best part is that it's also pet friendly!

The lake views are beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect backdrop for a casual meal. One unique touch I loved was that they provide paper bags to cover your food when you're eating outside, a clever way to keep the seagulls from swooping down and stealing your meal! Inside, it's exactly what you'd expect from a traditional drive-in. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept the line moving quickly. Plenty of parking with some space across the street too. Cleanish restrooms. One thing to know if you have food allergies, specifically a shellfish allergy, and they use shared fryers, so I couldn't safely order anything fried. I really appreciated their honesty and transparency. Between the friendly service, gorgeous waterfront location, and nostalgic atmosphere, Rudy's is a classic place that's easy to recommend.

"Great" is always relative to the palate using the word. After 80 years on the shore of Lake…read moreOntario, Rudy's carries a lot of lore opened by Rudy Gadziala and his wife Marie in 1946, now run by third-generation owner Jason Livesey, famous for its Texas hot sauce and the founder's old line about owning a "million dollar hot dog stand." Online reviews are all over the map, so we wanted to see for ourselves. We visited recently with our 7- and 8-year-old nephews, hoping to soak up the tradition. The reality was more transactional. The hostess took our order while sipping her own beverage likely why we were shorted an order of fries. Nice enough, but not especially professional or welcoming. The whole operation moves fast; the staff is determined and task-focused rather than friendly. You get a buzzer and wait. The interior was renovated in 2025, and it shows but not in a good way. The bright white walls and green banquettes feel sterile, more fast-casual chain than 80-year-old lakeside institution. In modernizing, they stripped out whatever nostalgia the old space had and put nothing back. Some local artwork, vintage photos, or lake history on those fresh white walls would go a long way. The food: the boys enjoyed their cheeseburgers, and the fries are genuinely good. The fish sandwich was generously sized but bland the batter had little flavor, and the tartar sauce didn't rescue it. For a place with an 80-year reputation built on fish, I expected more. The lobster mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. The tab: four drinks, two cheeseburgers with fries, lobster mac, and a fish sandwich with fries came to nearly $70 steep for a lakeside stand where fries alone run $5.25. The setting is lovely and the legacy is real. But sometimes generational ownership slips down a slick slope and making money starts to matter more than making memories.

I ordered for 18 people, for a weekend event at The Ohio State University. Everyone loved the food, from the foodies to the non-adventurous eaters who'd never had Ghanaian food to vegan and gluten-free guests. I ordered a chicken curry, red-red (a hearty dish with black-eyed peas), saffron rice, egusi (a yummy spinach dish that was vegan but tasted like a better version of American creamed spinach), a blend of carrots / cabbage / other root vegetables, fried plantains, and a vegan rice pudding. The vegans and gluten-free eaters did an actual happy dance when they saw that a) Kuukua had listed all ingredients for each dish on the catering lids and b) other than the chicken curry, most of the food was vegan and gluten free. You could tell that everything was made from scratch, with love and attention. My guests loved all the dishes, but the chicken curry, egusi, and saffron rice were the biggest crowd pleasers. Everybody, including the meat eaters, cleaned their plates and went back for seconds. It was also affordable, very comparable in price to catering from local Indian and Chinese restaurants. In case you couldn't tell, I couldn't be happier. I've already recommended Asempe to my day-job company for a future event, and I look forward to visiting Kuukua at her pop-up at The Hills Market Downtown.
