I have United healthcare vision insurance through my workplace and the staff went over to the process on how to get a reimbursement which is very easy. I then went to another eye doctor that was covered by my insurance plan. After not being satisfied at that location I returned to Wink because the care I got in 2022 was so good it was worth paying out of pocket. I could not believe that 3 years later Dr. Cohn remembered me and picked up our conversation from my first appointment. That level of personalization has solidified that Wink is my permanent eyecare boutique. My eye appointment was so quick and efficient because Wink has the best technology. They can scan your eyes and tweak your prescription in record time. What first put Wink on my radar was the brands of frames they carry. Specifically, I have always wanted a pair of Lindberg glasses. Wink made my eyeglass dreams come true! There was a Lindberg frame I was interested in but they did not have the color I wanted in the store. They placed a special order for me so I can try on the glasses in the color I was hoping would work before I committed to purchasing. The glasses came in, and the rest is history. I am currently writing this review wearing the glasses I have dreamed of owning for the last 10 years. My annual exam cannot happen soon enough. GOOD EXPERIENCES After multiple places in the area couldn't help with some flimsy glasses, I ended up coming to this LensCrafters location multiple times. Each time not only did they fix the problem, they spent 15 mins on it, they looked great, and they didn't take a dime from me. The people who helped me were a delight. Five stars all the way. BAD EXPERIENCE I understood that Lens Crafters (based on the name) actually crafted lenses. They made it in the store. I thought that was the whole dang business model. Then, for some reason they had to order my lenses and then they got lost in transit. I am just baffled. Is this just a standard glasses shop now like every other place, but with weird shipping issues? Maybe that was just a bad week? Lastly, I do have to point out this is business owned by Luxottica so please look up that business before you come here.

I had seen LensCrafters on my way down Rockville Pike, on Rose Avenue. It is a brand new store and I decided to give them a try. As, soon as I walked in Ifty asked me if he could help me? I showed him my damaged glasses and he offered to repair them. I should mention that I had previously bought my glasses from another LensCrafter's. I browsed around and was impressed by the selection of glasses and lots of staff members available to help customers. LensCrafter's has really redesigned their stores to be plush and comfortable. Six minutes later, Ifty brought me my glasses all fixed and looking good. I promised to come back after my next eye doctor appointment and get my new glasses there. I…read morehad bought eyeglasses there for all of the people in my family for more than 40 years, so I was very surprised by the poor quality of the lenses I bought there in 2022. The glasses I bought in 2022 quickly began accumulating scratches on the lenses, despite the fact that they had been treated with a scratch-resistant coating and I always handled the glasses carefully. I have been wearing eyeglasses for more than 40 years and I have never had this happen to any other lenses. When I went back to Voorthuis to show them the excessive scratches, I also brought my previous glasses to show them; I had worn those previous glasses for 6 years and there were no scratches on them. The salesperson at Voorthuis was not interested in seeing them, and did not offer to repair or replace the scratched lenses on my current lenses. The important point, however, is that there is something clearly wrong with the scratch-resistant coating on these lenses and Voorthuis did not seem to care, either about correcting my lenses or investigating what is going wrong with their manufacturing process.

After being cleared by the eye specialist Dr Summerfield, I had an appointment and it was painless. The actual doctor that performed the Lasik was Dr Neil Wills, an accomplished doctor in the Eastern area. He was very informative throughout the process which only really lasted a few mins. The very next day, the vision was much clearer and the following days it progressively got even more better!
