But it's still very costly. I took my small dog here with intestinal issues- diarrhea and throwing up. I got there when they opened at 3 pm and the vet tech took me right back to a room. The check in process took quite a while. After that the Dr came in fairly quickly. She listened to his heart and lungs thoroughly. And caught his heart murmur - which I was aware of. She left the room to figure out an estimate for the tests she wanted to run. When the vet tech said, $1200, I responded with holy crap! I told her that was outside my budget and asked about the most important tests. We decided to check his pancreas and for Giardia. She also suggested an injection for nausea and meds for the diarrhea. The medication for the diarrhea was $75, so I asked about something less expensive. They claimed they didn't have anything else. They do their tests in-house which is quick, but also means more money. I left with his results for the pancreas blood work and the Giardia. Both were negative. I was glad to have immediate results, but it came with a cost. The Dr exam alone was $135 plus the blood test, Giardia test, injection for nausea and medication for diarrhea ran me $530! Plus the appointment took 2 hours -not sure why when I was the first patient there. If you visit here, expect to pay more than your regular vet and question if all tests are necessary. I'm glad I waited to get some of the tests done at my regular vet.

They were so sweet to my boy and to me when I was clearly distraught. Unfortunately his cbc showed severe anemia and he needs a specialist. I asked for meds and fluids to get him by until then and they gave me the quote which was an acceptable price. I was so grateful for the compassion I received from reception, the tech, and the Dr. They were busy but I never felt like they forgot about us -- they even checked in to tell me his bloodwork was taking longer to process due to the anemia. The tech who spent the most time with us was phenomenal--she was so good with my boy and she comforted me as well. I recommend them and plan on using them in the future as well.
