I have been to many veterinary clinics in my lifetime with my pets in Lilly. Veterinary is by far the best clinic I've ever been to. They don't keep you waiting in the waiting room with a bunch of barking dogs and crying cats. It's always nice and quiet in there. The staff is excellent from the people that work behind the desk and the The techs and especially the doctors. My son spent thousands of dollars here on his German Shepherd buying every supplement, vitamin, allergy pill, having and paying a fortune for tons of tests to be done anything that the office/vet recommend and could think of to make a buck . They cared for this German Shepherd for 11 years like I said, collecting thousands of dollars. When my son called DURING OFFICE HOURS for help because he couldn't walk and ended up having to be put down, their response was "find an emergency vet". You disgust me and I assure you, you will NEVER, EVER see another one of my animals and anyone else's that I can stop. Yes, this has been posted and shared all over every social media account I could think of. You should truly be ashamed of yourselves. If I could give zero stars I would. I have taken my dogs for years. So much money in well care and happy to do it. But today I have a dog with an ear infection. No appointments, before even letting me finish my explanation she said take him to an emergency vet. I asked about tomorrow, booked until 1/8. Over 10 days for a sick visit. Why do I even have them as a provider. Spoke to the office manager and he said I was difficult because I wanted something sooner (like tomorrow) and he said he offered 3 options January, emergency vet or call in the morning to see if they have an emergency spot. I asked if he could release an emergency spot he said no. They have gone completely down hill since Dr. Burt left. So sad!! BEWARE that they are still taking new patients but cannot see the ones they have!! 10 days for a sick visit!!! read more

We really thought that we found a wonderful vet here with Lilley.. The staff is always very friendly, etc. although we can't really say the same for the doctors they seem to be very robotic not uncaring, but just very disconnected it seemed. However, we continued to go until the other day our 4.7 pound Chihuahua got stung by a bee and of course we were concerned right away.. We called and they gave us advice to give some Benadryl and watch to see if he had any other symptoms if he was allergic, etc. And then I asked if he does, I should bring him there right away ? And their answer was no ..they were too busy to take him and if he had an emergency.. we should take him an emergency vet, which is absolutely ridiculous . And then we were talking to our neighbor and the same exact thing happened to them within the same week it happened to us, and they were told the same thing to go find an emergency vet which they had to do . This week we got their files and we are going to another Vet as is our neighbor. Should never be told from your regular vet to seek out emergency help from another veterinarian rather than the vet that they're used to Within office hours .. otherwise it is absolutely ridiculous and just unacceptable. read more

The staff is great and the vets are knowledgeable but ever since Dr. Burt retired there are not enough providers to adequately care for your pet. it takes 3 weeks to get in for a non urgent visit. if you want to come in sooner they up charge you for an "urgent visit". I don't think they should be taking new clients/pets if they cannot care for their existing clients. I'm really disappointed since I've been with them for over 20 years. This was a difficult decision but we are taking our pup elsewhere. I'm hopeful they can hire another vet and possibly waive the up charge for pets to be seen in a reasonable timeframe. read more

Love my Cat Veterinarian Dr Stoddard! She is so easygoing and it shows that she is a cat person. Was given a diagnosis of diabetes for my male, 9 year old and Dr Stoddard was most helpful in addressing my concerns! The staff is friendly and helpful. I have been going to this clinic for 15+ years. When I got a new puppy over the weekend, he was experiencing diarrhea. I called at 8:15 am on Monday--and was told my new dog (weighing 3 pounds, 10 ozs) could be seen on FRIDAY afternoon. When I asked if there were any "sick dog" slots, the receptionist was so empathetic and concerned she replied that all the sick slots were gone and , "...it's Monday morning, what do you expect." Here's what I did expect: a clinic who had received my loyalty for 15+ years would make room to see a newborn puppy. And if that wasn't possible, I asked the front desk staff to ask the vet what I could do between Monday morning and Friday afternoon. They said they would ask the vet. They never asked--and I was offered no support or any communication/recommendations about what I could do. I guess they didn't care if the puppy lived or died. Evidently, they have all the "business" they need. But if you want a caring, compassionate staff who has the flexibility to look after your sick dog or new puppy (even of their schedule is full), you definitely need to look elsewhere. I was astonished at the staff's lack of concern. They are driven solely and only by their schedule--and you'd best hope your dog, cat or other animal gets sick when there is a schedule opening. I need to find a vet who CARES about my dog (and me). read more

Dr Stoddard is completely amazing! Our small dog was attacked by a large dog and needed extensive treatment. Vets and emergency centers were not sure what to do as the large wound needed to heal from the inside out and it wasn't an area that could easily be bandaged. Dr Stoddard stepped in and created a completely unique way to handle our dog's bandaging and wound care. Within just over 2 weeks, our dog was completely healed. Dr Stoddard came up with solutions that even the surgical centers had not considered and she completely healed our dog. And, our dog absolutely loves her! Every time I had to bring her, my dog was happy to see Dr Stoddard. Works cannot describe how incredibly grateful we are to her and how much we appreciate her knowledge and care. The Vet are very knowledgeable and if they don't have an answer for you, they ask other resources and get an answer and make a plan to treat the situation. 3 weeks ago, my dog Pebbles wasn't feeling good. She had anxiety and was terrified to go to the vet. Pebbles was a patient at Lilley Vet and my dog Lucy and cat Harry were also patients. I was never thrilled with the bedside manner of any of the employees but chose to overlook it for several reasons. 3 weeks ago my dog Pebbles wasn't eating well so I stopped in the office to ask if they could prescribe something for nausea. I explained that Pebbles was terrified of the vet and offered to pay for a visit. The receptionist that has been there for a very long time was rude, abrupt and uncompassionate. She embarrassed me in front of other people in the waiting room. She implied that I was trying to get something for nothing. My Pebbles passed away on May 4th at home on her favorite bed with me and my son holding her. A kind hospice vet made her passing as peaceful and comfortable as possible. I will never set foot in Lilley Veterinary again. Shame on the receptionist. I hope someone treats her the same way. read more

I brought my cat here after receiving a recommendation from a coworker. My cat required surgery for a lump that needed to be removed from her belly. Dr King was great. I didn't feel pressured in any way to proceed with any type of treatment that I was not comfortable with. Myself, along with my cat were treated with respect. The cost seems a bit higher than other clinics, but I am one of those people that will pay extra for a positive experience. As a groomer, I come across clients that are new to the area. Not pleased at all with a recent visit to this pet clinic. When I've gone here in the past I saw Dr. King but she is out on maternity leave so I saw the owner/vet. His bedside manner left a lot to be desired and because my pets are family this is important. I had a nagging wart removed from my 13 yo Cockapoo and as we were leaving the clinic I noticed my dog was bleeding where the wart was removed. I doubled back to ask what I should do about this and it was then that the vet tech gave me after care information that should've been given to me before I was walking out the door with a bleeding dog and after they got $105 from me. This is where I found out about my dog's food allergy (that other vets simply tried to medicate away) and they have worked with me on making the best decision for my 16 year old cat at the end of his life. My cat was not feeling well for a few days so I took her to a vet that I normally don't go to only because I was not able to get her in at lilley vet. well she was diagnosed with spinal arthritis from this other vet and was given vitamins and said come back in a couple weeks if she doesn't improve. well this diagnosis was not setting well with me so I took her to Dr Burt at Lilley vet who has been my veterinarian for years. He was so kind and gentle with her. He examined her and found she had an abscess on her anal about 2 inches long. she had a 104 fever, and needed surgery. He did the surgery right away and by that evening she was back to her old self! Dr. Burt is so passionate about animals and it shows. I would recommend him and the medical center to anyone who is looking for a vet for their pet. read more

As of now, my 20 year old fox terrier is Dr. King's oldest patient. She effectively manages his canine cognitive dysfunction (he has doggie Alzheimers) and makes sure he is comfortable. I feel like they're pretty even with other area vets in prices. They're always able to get me a prompt appointment too. Only down side is the tiny parking lot. Parking gets crammed pretty fast. That aside, I will continue to bring all of my dogs to this office. read more

I love this vet they are friendly and very patient. They are very good with my older dog. My younger dog doesn't seem to like them much but they were wonderful with her. They are always wanting to help you with your pet whether that be anxiety issues, teeth, vaccines or a spay and neuter. I think they are reasonably priced and always friendly. Dr. B would let me call and talk to him over the phone without having to make appointments. When my dog passed away, the office sent a letter & Dr. B personalized the message. Lilly Vet Center was a great find. I just relocated from NC where I went to the nation's best Veterinary Medicine University, NCSU, for the care of my dog's heart condition and they recommended I go to Lilly Vet Center for general medical care. They were also recommend by my new veterinary cardiologist in the area. The staff was very responsive and helpful and the DVM was thorough and timely. I had my 1 yr old with me at a 6:30 pm appointment, so the evening melt down ensued, and the staff was very helpful to get us in and out quickly but I also felt I got top notch care. read more

I will never take my dogs here again. I have been bringing various pets to this place for over 20 years. My dog got a severe rash and my son called them to bring her in. It was 4:30 pm and they closed at 6. The person who answered the phone told him they didn't have any opening and gave him a morning appointment the next day and told him to give our dog Benadryl and if that didn't help take him to the emergency vet. We did that she seemed better but then around 1:30 am she became very itchy and was in severe discomfort. Her skin was warm and her stomach look like she had a severe sunburn. She was crying and yelping so my and my son took her to the emergency vet. They gave her a shot of steroids and Benadryl and within minutes she was feeling better. I didn't appreciate that they couldn't see her for what amounted to was a 15 minute appointment that ended up costing me over $200. I called the next day to cancel the appointment and told them I will be looking for another vet and my mother also. She took her dog there and spent a lot of money on tests and medicine and it didn't help her dog with his scratching. read more
