Took this way home didn't wanna stay for the sunset. I think that's the main reason. Everything cost so much.

First time here, not that impressed actually. Very loud first of all. I made a reservation for our anniversary- we could see the water from our table so that was nice. I ordered the chicken Milanese and hubby got the braised short ribs - it came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. He enjoyed his meal but mine was just ok. Both were presented very beautifully with a pretty flower. It seemed like the staff just wanted to keep you moving to go to the next person. Knowing that it was our anniversary, they don't do anything special no little tiny dessert or anything. Oh well I've had better meals honestly other places and for the prices I guess I don't recommend it. At least that's my honest feeling.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Lucia's on the Lake and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was beautiful and made the night feel really special. We ordered the steak and the seafood pasta and both dishes were absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A huge thank you to Jessica for taking such great care of us. Her service was friendly, attentive, and really made the evening even better. She helped make our anniversary dinner one we'll definitely remember. If you're looking for a great place for a special night out, Lucia's on the Lake is definitely worth it. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

Had a birthday dinner last night. Service is top tier as usual, all the meals were delicious and fresh. The fresh warm bread is always amazing! It was a bit loud but I feel like that's the normal when we go.

Lucia's has been my favorite restaurant for many years and overall continues to be one of the best dining experiences in Western New York. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is professional, and the bartenders and servers are always excellent. I have so much respect for the owner because he takes pride in the restaurant and treats his employees well, and that is one of the reasons I have remained such a loyal customer. This visit was especially important to me because it was my date's first time there, and I was excited to show him what I have always considered to be the best restaurant in Western New York for many years. We started with the calamari, which was excellent. I ordered the Sea Bass special for $55, which I almost always get, and it was absolutely amazing as usual. It was perfectly prepared and continues to be one of the best dishes they offer. My date ordered the lobster linguine, which I have had many times in the past and always loved. I wanted him to try both dishes, so he ordered it instead of getting steak because of how much I raved about it. While there was a generous amount of lobster, the lobster itself was slightly chewy and the overall dish had a somewhat unusual flavor compared to how exceptional it has been before, I noticed the chewy lobster the last time I ordered this dish a couple months ago, but thought maybe it was just an off night. Dessert was unfortunately the biggest disappointment of the evening. I really wanted a scoop of ice cream, something that is included with most of the desserts, and when I asked, I was told the ice cream was not homemade, which was surprising at this level, so I ordered my favorite go-to dessert, the crème brûlée. Sadly, it was completely undercooked and liquid inside. It was more like soup than custard. I rarely order dessert and was really looking forward to it, so this was extremely disappointing. I then ordered the flourless chocolate cake after being told that while the cake isn't made in hothe whipped cream was homemade. While the cake itself was fine, it did not stand out, and the very small amount of whipped cream did not taste homemade, which added to the overall disappointment. At one point while clearing the table, a busboy dropped a dirty spoon that nearly landed on my date's lap. He caught it just in time. I understand accidents happen, but it was still concerning. I was honestly disappointed because I had built Lucia's up so much to him over the years. I wanted him to experience what I have always believed to be the best restaurant in Western New York, and unfortunately, he left feeling disappointed. I want to emphasize that Lucia's has earned my loyalty over the years because the food and service are usually impeccable. The Sea Bass continues to be outstanding and the staff remains top notch. However, this experience and my last visit have unfortunately taken Lucia's from my number one spot. I have the utmost respect for the owner and everything he has built. This review is simply meant as honest feedback. I hope the dessert quality and consistency can be improved to match the exceptional standard of the rest of the restaurant. One employee that stands out each and every time I am at this restaurant, is the bartender named Ryan. He goes above and beyond to always make me feel so welcome and does an amazing job at making the best cocktails. I will absolutely continue to return and look forward to future visits.

We dined in for my birthday. It was a beautiful time of day to go, we had a view of the lake out the window and a beautiful sunset. Our server was John A. He was absolutely fantastic. An above and beyond server. He gave us a little scoop of ice cream with a candle while waiting for our to-go dessert; and also his business card for the next time we want to come back! Cider spritzer 8/10 It was a good drink, just wasn't very apple cider flavored to me and definitely did not have a cinnamon sugar rim. Complementary bread 10/10 The bread is fantastic. Fresh and warm. The whipped butter is perfect. And the olive oil/balsamic combo is delicious also. 1/2 dz Prince Edward island oysters 10/10 (special) Perfect, probably the most fresh we've ever had in WNY. The apple cider mignonette was phenomenal, bitter and sweet and a great complement to the oyster. French onion soup 7/10 (special) The soup was good, but I've had better. The broth had a distinct flavor a little different than the typical French onion that I didn't enjoy as much. The crouton had a lovely crunch to it still, and there was plenty of melty cheese on top and onions inside. I also wish that it was a smaller portion, it was a huge crock and can be difficult for one person to eat as an appetizer- definitely big enough to share. 9oz. M-12 A-5 Japanese Wagyu filet 10/10 (special) Medium rare. I have never had wagyu before, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! Amazing cut of meat, they do cut it themselves. The cook was so perfect. The crust from the seasoning and sear was fantastic, delicious flavor both inside and out, and I absolutely loved the crispiness of the crust next to the soft tender inside. Pearl onions 10/10 Caramelized beautifully, great flavor. compound butter 10/10 Amazing flavor, and a really great addition to the steak, just adds a touch more savory. Mashed potatoes 10/10 Super simple, and really great flavor. Asparagus 8/10 Average asparagus. I'm not a huge fan of it normally but I tried one, just to see. Short ribs 10/10 Very fall off the bone tender and juicy, with great seasoning, and a really delicious Demi to accompany. U-10 Scallops 10/10 Really good, cooked perfectly, loved the slightly crispy sear on the outside. Parmesan risotto 8/10 The cook on this was perfect, but for the flavor I think it could have been a lot more flavorful. Crème brûlée 10/10 Delicious. The custard was perfect, great flavor, and great consistency. Fresh berries, and a cute little birthday chocolate to garnish!

Lucia's is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I go every year for my birthday and am never disappointed! I had the black cherry whiskey sour which was delicious! I love French onion soup and make it a point to try it everywhere I go if it's in the menu and this one ranks at the top of the list. I deviated from the wagyu steak this time and got the scallops and added a stuffed pepper, which was very good, although I think I'll order the steak next time. For my birthday desert I got the peanut butter pie which was phenomenal and the best I've ever had. Jared was our server and was extremely helpful and friendly!

Always one of my favorite spots especially for a special occasion. Dinner consisted of a HUGE French onion soup with a ton of flavor, burrata caprese salad w/ breaded chicken & of course fried cookie dough for dessert. The ambiance here is great, but it is so loud that we could barely hear our server share the specials. I would have expected nothing less on a Friday night. So glad we booked our reservation months in advance!

The food was amazing ! You will not be disappointed. The service was phenomenal.. waitress was great and super nice ! The place just kept going there was a different bar in every room. You do need a reservation though so make one , but definitely a great place !

We can't get enough of this spot. For occasions or a fun night out, it can't be beat. The food and service along with specials and the wine menu are to die for. We can't wait to come again soon!

I was in town this past weekend and joined a couple who are regulars at Lucia's on the Lake. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of dining room, the sophisticated décor and the incredible Italian-infused menu. I enjoyed meeting co-owner Jay Pasquarella during my visit. He and his partner have managed the restaurant for 10 years. What really impressed me is most of the staff has worked continuously since the restaurant opened. We arrived about 45 minutes early and found a seat at the bar for a large Martini with blue cheese olives. Looking at some of the reviews on Yelp, Lucia's is a favorite of many locals. It's a perfect setting for a special occasion meal, a birthday, an anniversary. When we were first seated, you're served a loaf of complimentary Italian bread, which was warm, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It's served with butter and olive oil with seasonings as a dip. We started our meal with Bang Bang Shrimp and Stuffed Banana Peppers. Two of the favorites I read on Yelp. It was my first-time trying Banana Peppers and I loved them. The peppers are lightly grilled and were mildly spicy. They were stuffed with a three-cheese blend, with Ricotta dominating. Next up one of our guests shared a Chopped Salad with me. Fresh romaine, tomatoes and cucumbers star in this salad. Loved the sweet & sour dressing. For my entrée, I ordered the 12-ounce A5 Certified Japanese Wagyu Ribeye for $139, based on a recommendation from Jay. It should be priced much higher, much like the 32-ounce Prime Tomahawk at $95. It was perfectly seared to a medium doneness. The first few bites were incredibly tender due to the Wagyu's marbling. What surprised me was the amount of fat on my cut of meat. Jay suggested we also order the Gnocchi. It's stuffed with asiago cheese and served with Italian sausage, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. Another guest ordered the classic Alaskan Halibut, her favorite entrée on the menu. For dessert, the Salted Chocolate Caramel Pie was the perfect way to close our meal. As much as I enjoyed our meal and the conversation, the pacing of the meal was seriously off. I will say the restaurant was fully booked and had several large tables. Here is the timeline for our meal: * Sat at table at 7:48pm * Starters served at 8:47pm * Salad served at 8:55pm * Entrées served at 9:46pm * Dessert served at 10:16pm Other than our server telling us that the kitchen was really busy, we had no idea the service was going to take so long. For such a high-end restaurant, I was disappointed by the service. That was reflected in my four-star rating.

Despite being 3 minutes from home, we haven't been here since the first year they opened, probably because people are always saying it's impossible to get a reservation; Tuesday at 5pm, however, no problem at all. Our reservation was for bar seating, we were seated at a high top in the bar area. We had bang bang calamari as an appetizer and a couple of craft cocktails. Dinner was amazing, plenty of delicious food, the presentation was beautiful (I only snuck 2 pics cause put your phone away!) You know I love leftovers for lunch the next day. They had everything timed perfectly, get you in and out in 90 minutes without feeling rushed. We'll be back soon.

We have driven many times past Lucia's on our way to and from Jamestown NY to Buffalo. Until we watched Speil the Wine with Kevin LoVullo we really didn't know much about it. Once we watched his segments we became curious. It does take a while to get a reservation and after going there last evening for an early dinner, I can see why. The moment we walked in the place is aesthetically inviting as are the greeters, wait staff, bartenders, servers, etc. Our server Jared Gugino was one of the nicest informative servers I think we've ever had. Upon Kevin's recommendation, he mentioned that we should ask for the the owner on which we did. Jay Pasquarella the owner was so friendly and gracious. He stopped by to check in out us a few times even though the place was packed. Lastly, may I mention the food? I had the blackened chicken with asparagus risotto, amazing! My husband had jambalaya. As large as his portion was, he almost licked the plate except he knew he had carrot cake on its way to celebrate his birthday. I had to take half of mine home. I'm looking forward to finishing the leftover. One thing we both noticed is that our food came out hot which is not always the case at many restaurants so there was no need to hurry to try and finish. We will definitely be back again! Thank you Jared and Jay for a lovely dining experience.

Ask the Community - Lucia's On The Lake

Do they take walk ins or just reservations?

They do, but it's not guaranteed they will be able to seat you. I've been told they are full for the night but have been able to get a spot at the bar where you can also order food. Reservations are definitely the way to go!

The older photos show a 1lb lobster tail dinner. Do they still have these??? I write to the owners and they never replied. Thanks!!

I see Jayb answered you, but they also have lobster add- on to dinners

Where's the beef on the menu? Where's the lobster tail?

We have 4 steaks and Braised short ribs all in the menu.

The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the hostess was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Bourbon BBQ Burger, cooked medium-well, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've had in months. My only hesitation was the price--$23 for a hamburger is a little steep. I also ordered an Old Fashioned, which was very well made and tasted great. However, I was a little disappointed that it was served in a plastic cup. I understand we were sitting outside, but since it was during the afternoon and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, I would have preferred it in a proper glass. It would have made the drink feel a little more special. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent, the service was great, and I would definitely return. Next time, I'll just request a glass for my Old Fashioned!

That said, I did not find it overly loud, just loud enough where you had to raise your voice slightly. Enough about that. Johnson's Landing has a Lenten fish fry special, $20 for a full fish fry with sides, and this includes one of their specialty beers. This is a good deal to get a craft beer included with your fish fry. I actually ordered it to go and enjoyed the beer while waiting for the fish to take out. It was a very solid fish dinner, the batter was crispy, not oily. The fish was fresh, all of the sides were good, even the rye bread was a nice hearty thick cut of rye. The mac salad featured tuna, which I do like. And the fries were hot and tasty. The fish itself was not huge but was big enough for us. Every component of the fish fry dinner was on point. The barmaid was efficient and friendly, I did not have to wait. My only complaint is that they do not list beer prices on their menu, which was fine this time since it was included with the meal, but would prevent me from enjoying a stop on the way home for a beer or two. I think it is a sneaky practice, but strangely I do note prices on their website, and guess what? All draft beers are $8 including Labatt Blue Light, unless the website is now outdated. ($8 for Labatt's!! Holy Moly!) I can see why it is not on the printed menu. I really don't like when there is not full price transparency, thus four stars instead of five. However I wholeheartedly endorse the value and quality of the Lenten fish fry special.

Unfortunately, that really wasn't our experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The entire place felt tired and dirty. The carpets looked heavily worn and stained, the booths had food stuck in the crevices, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well maintained. The dishes and drinkware didn't help. The coffee mugs, which were once white, were badly stained and dingy looking. My mother actually rubbed something off hers, and the waitress explained that it "wasn't dirty, just stained." Not exactly the best first impression, especially at $55 per person for brunch. We ordered mimosas after that, hoping things would improve, but even the champagne glasses looked questionable and were filled to noticeably different levels. Then the food arrived, and unfortunately it only got worse. Everything was served "family style," but there was no menu or explanation of what was coming. The meal felt random and poorly executed. Some highlights included: * A single store-bought pastry cut into pieces * Mac and cheese that tasted like boxed Velveeta * Deep-fried breakfast sausages * Ham that resembled warmed-up lunch meat * Three shrimp total for two people * A bowl of stew meat that felt completely out of place * An Eggs Benedict attempt that simply didn't work To make matters worse, some of the silverware and plates appeared dirty as well. By the end, we honestly couldn't wait to leave. The automatic $20 holiday service charge on top of the already expensive brunch really sealed the experience for us. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in quite a while.

Overpriced, Unsanitary, and Unprofessional - A $500 Disaster…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent experience was truly appalling. We visited with a party of 11, including my 88-year-old grandfather. Despite the high price point--our bill was nearly $500--the standards of service and cleanliness were non-existent. The Issues: Accessibility & Cleanliness: There were zero handicap parking spots available. Inside, the restaurant was filthy; there was old food and trash under our booth, and the bathroom was in a state of neglect with toilet paper left on dirty surfaces rather than the holder. The Environment: We were greeted by stained, soiled paper menus and a swarm of fruit flies that stayed with us throughout the entire meal. Poor Service: We waited 50 minutes for basic dinner salads. My grandfather's coffee took 45 minutes to arrive. The waitress appeared visibly annoyed that she had to walk around our booth to serve us. Cheap Substitutes: For the price of a strip steak, you expect quality. Instead, we were served Aldi-brand steak sauce. When I asked for A1, I was handed a filthy, food-smeared bottle that was nearly empty. The "Refill" Incident: Our initial drinks were served half-empty. When we asked for refills, the waitress told us to finish our current glasses because they weren't free and she "didn't want to charge us." In the end, we were charged for them anyway. Overpriced Food: The French Onion soup is served in tiny metal bowls, not crocks. To top it off, we paid $22 for two "slices" of cheesecake to go--one of which was a literal sliver of cake. While the food itself was decent, no meal is worth this level of disrespect and lack of hygiene. I will never recommend this establishment.

So when we saw this was kinda on our way we had to stop. There's lots of space, nice outside area, and some good beers.

When our entrées arrived, only four of the eight meals were brought to the table. We had to remind our server that the remaining meals were missing. About 10 minutes later, only three more meals arrived, leaving one person still without dinner. Once again, we had to ask for the final meal to be brought out. No one at the table should have to eat at different times because of such poor coordination. The food itself was also underwhelming. The steak fajitas were especially disappointing--they consisted of a few somewhat tough pieces of steak with no peppers or onions, which are basic ingredients for fajitas. The steak hoagie was similarly sparse, containing mostly shaved steak with very few vegetables. To make matters worse, the fries served with the meals were cold. Our appetizer was also mishandled. The charcuterie board arrived with salami, cream cheese, and cheese, but no bread or crackers. We had to ask for those to be brought out. We also had to request small plates because none were provided. Finally, throughout the meal, dirty dishes--including our appetizer plates--were never cleared from the table, leaving us surrounded by stacks of dishes until we were finished. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the disorganized service, multiple forgotten items, cold food, and lack of attention to basic hospitality, we expected much better. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back.

Ok, this review is hard. I kept going back and forth between three and four stars. The view? Oh my…read moregod! Both the view and the service deserve five stars! We sat at the outdoor bar and enjoyed a light meal here last weekend. The view of the water was fantastic. The gentleman at the outdoor bar was amazing and never missed a beat with bite checks and drink refills. The food though...my boyfriend did not like the fish tacos. He said he can tell it's old fryer oil just by looking at it. I got the seared tuna with noodles on the side. The seared tuna was good, but the noodles on the side were undercooked. I would definitely come back again for the view and friendly service.

Could have used some a few more slices of chorizo though, that would definitely bring it up to a 10. Truffled spinach dip 10/10 Absolutely delicious! I could eat this all day! Warm, cheesy, and truffley. I don't notice the spinach much and there's some artichoke in there too. The sautéed onions in there were great. Love the pita that comes with it for dipping too. Fish fry 9/10 Good cook on the fish. Nice and crispy, though it does get a little soft pretty quick. Homemade tartar sauce was good. Dill flavor came through the most for me. French fries 10/10 Good fries! Mac salad 2/10 Spicy. Not a fan at all. Kyle loved it though. Coleslaw 9/10 Traditional sweet mayo based coleslaw. Could just use some more flavor, salt maybe.
