While I understand that infections can occur for various reasons, customers should be able to feel confident that tools, foot baths, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between clients. I hope management takes this matter seriously, reviews its sanitation procedures, and ensures that proper infection-control practices are consistently followed to prevent other customers from having a similar experience. This review is strictly about lack of pricing transparency and overcharging. When I called to make an appointment I was told an acrylic fill was $45. While doing the fill, it became apparent that three of my nails had acrylic that was old so it was removed and new acrylic was applied. This is something pretty common when you have acrylic nails (I've had them for 25+ years). When the nail tech gave me the bill she added $15 bringing total to $60. I was charged $5 per nail for putting on new acrylic which literally took her an extra minute or two. I wasn't told there was an extra charge for that. When I went up to pay I spoke to one of the "managers" and asked that the extra $15 be removed. She said she understood my concern but couldn't do anything. Would not budge even though I pointed out that the website reflected fills were $45 and that's what I was also quoted on the phone. Called over another manager who politely tried to explain that replacing the acrylic on the nail was considered a "fix" which is an extra charge that was listed in their "additional services" section of the website which is hardly visible when you look up their prices or clear it applied to what was done. I've never paid $60 for a fill even if some new acrylic is applied on a few nails. I'm always flabbergasted how the people that try to run a business don't give the customer the benefit of the doubt. What they should have quickly said is "we will take off the charge for today but in the future please note we will charge the extra $5 per nail." I'll be the first to admit I wasted my time and theirs arguing over $15 but for me it was the principle of the thing. $45 vs $60 was a 33% increase in price for something that took the tech just a couple of extra minutes. At the end they took $5 off (vs $15.). They lost a future customer over a $15 dispute. (I don't blame the techs btw I still tipped them (also had a pedicure which was fine) Bottom line: lack of transparency and overcharging for their services.
