My grandma's nails. Many things wrong. She asked them to not touch the shape and they still managed to mess it up. While my grandma was at another salon, getting her nails fixed since this place was uncooperative, I went back to the salon. Showed them the proof of relation and their service. They denied she was ever there. They threatened that they have cameras, but refused to check them. The owner was very rude, kept raising her voice. The lady who did the nails herself denied it was her work. they said they had a no refund policy, Yet no visible sign anywhere that stated so before paying. they said they would call cops and didn't do that either for whatever guilty reason. And no doubt they were taking smack in their language, pointing at us. Took pictures of us. Eventually started ignoring us so had to leave with no resolution. read more

Disappointing Experience--Not What It Used to Be I used to love coming here when Tom was around, but ever since his retirement, the quality has taken a serious nosedive. Julie, the new owner, is unfortunately not equipped to run this place at the level it once was. It took her over an hour just to remove my Gel X, and she clearly struggled with the drill--burning my nails multiple times in the process. I was so shocked by her lack of skill that I had to step in and assist. When applying the new Gel X, she left bubbles under the nails and didn't position them correctly. Instead of properly fixing the issue, she insisted that builder gel would take care of it. While it did help, she relied far too much on the drill, making the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. Beyond the poor service, the salon itself has gone downhill--it's dirty, disorganized, and lacks strong leadership. Not to mention, after four hours (took this long for a set for gel x and a pedicure) at the salon my eyes were burning -- the fumes were too much. Julie may mean well, but she desperately needs to invest in improving her skills and the overall environment if this place has any chance of thriving again. The one bright spot? Vicky did my pedicure, and she was fantastic. She was kind, attentive, and actually listened--something this salon could use a lot more of. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this salon. Basic hygiene protocols were not followed at all ,no glove change between clients, and tools did not appear to be properly disinfected. This is extremely unsafe and unacceptable for any service involving skin and nails.The quality of the manicure was also very poor and careless.Honestly if I had seen this level of unsanitary practice in a formal inspection, I would have immediately reported it to the health department. This place urgently needs to review and strictly improve its sanitation standards before serving any more clients. read more

Absolute worst nail salon. They are dirty, and the fumes are so heavy that it gave me a headache. I asked to do nail design and gave them a picture, and they had some older woman that could barely paint a straight line because she was shaking so much. The work done on my nails were so tragic that I had to leave and come back an hour later to have my nails redone and still they came out terrible . I highly do not recommend this property due to the fact that they use poor quality products, and I feel like I was robbed even though they saw the terrible quality that they performed and acknowledged it. I've been coming here for gel nails by Julie but recently switched to acrylic and was unhappy. I requested acrylic gel coffin nails and she told me she didn't have time for ombré style okay that's fine, but she rushed my nails and right after I left since her next client was there I noticed the shape was off so I called. I came back and she fixed the thumb which was the most noticeable off shape nail. She didn't seem happy when I called and once I came back and she fixed it I said thank you and she ignored me. Within the next 3-5 days all my nails cracked or broke. On day 7 I went to a new nail spot and they told me this was a really bad "new set" and they're too thin and don't even cover my entire nail and that's why they're cracked and broken so they would have to take them off because they can't even work with the ones I have now. I don't recommend Julie for acrylics, shes nice unless you tell her how you like your nails, then she gets defensive and speaks in her native tongue to others while looking at you. She's rough as well with hands. I know others who come here but go to Bang, she's nice and has good gel nails. read more

Julie and her whole team stayed open late to accommodate my sister and I. We got the full service. Pedi and Mani. We never felt rushed and everyone did a great job with pride. I also like that she's not pushy. She asked if I wanted gel and explained the benefits but said it's totally up to me. She also asked every step of the way I'd I was okay with the level of pink and the amount of white in the French tip. I love that since I don't have to ask for something to be fixed. The nail technician asked if I would like a "spa pedicure", told her just a regular pedicure. Girl trying to save money here, you know So a regular pedicure includes a bad rolling chair to sit on and just a little white plastic container to put ur feet in. The whole set up was bad, my legs and feet were uncomfortable. I told the nail lady that my hip was hurting all she said was sorry and continued on. I will never come here again. I tried to give them one last chance, but again, they were rude and kept speaking their Language whenever I would ask a question instead of acknowledging me directly. I paid $74 for my full set and a pedicure for niece. We also got bitten by bugs while sitting on the couch by the door. To top off everything my nails look terrible. Nothing like what I asked for, and she took 2 1/2 hours on them. I told her over and over again that she wasn't doing what I asked for then I finally just asked her for a topcoat and told her that I would just get them done somewhere else. Came here for many years and their quality has went completely down hill. This is one of the worst nail salons in the San Fernando valley. They don't properly sterilize their tools, do a horrible paint job, don't acknowledge you when you walk in, the inside is run down and dirty and the staff are rude. I went back because my gel fell off after two days on my thumb and this annoying woman notices me walk in and then just goes about her business gossiping in her language. I say hello and make my presence know and that I want my nail fixed. She tells me it will be a thirty minute fix to get one nail fixes! Um bye, I will never go back.
