Looking at the bar and all the stickers.

Needed a place to eat on our drive down the 550 and found this jem. Walking up to the door there is a sign saying wait outside, I'm amazed how many people didn't read the sign and just walked in, the guy at the door made them wait longer if they didn't read it. Hahaha We ordered the daily special burger that had mushrooms A-1 sauce and swiss cheese to split with fries. The burgers are 1/2 lb and cooked great with a nice brown on both sides and lots of mushrooms with melty cheese. The fries were fresh and had wonderful flavor. Overall a great place to have a burger.

My fiancé and I stopped here a couple years ago and I still think about it. We were sat upstairs and had a beautiful view. The food took a while to be served but our hostess gifted us one of their glasses in return for us waiting so long. The service was incredible and I would recommend it to anyone going through Ouray. Hoping to stop in again here in a few weeks.

My mom, Aunt and I stopped in for lunch and we were seated immediately. The server was friendly and gave us a moment to look over the menu. She was back shortly after and we ordered burgers and a grilled cheese and chili. The burger was delicious, tender, flavorful and cooked great. The grilled cheese had a great crunch on the bread and a beautiful stretch of cheese when taking that first bite! The chili was tasty also! The fries were crispy and craveable. Cute place, good food, will definitely be back.

Great beers were affordable. The view from the rooftop bar was with the stop. Sit on the rail and enjoy the views below. I'd defiantly go back and bring a few friends too.

Ouray is gorgeous little town with steep canyon walls and is very picturesque. Ouray brewery serves up some decent food and is not overly priced comparatively to the other nearby tourist traps. If you are only a little peckish this is good place to stop in for a quick bite. Service was attentive and courteous.

This is one of the main larger breweries to check out when you're in Ouray. It was busy but we were able to get seated at another bar counter upstairs. They have swinging bar chairs downstairs that we didn't get to use, but it looked fun! Looks like they brew in-house since we got to see their brew process. Their food looked good but we didn't get any, as we continued to bar hopped everywhere on Main St. it was good to know they had 5oz pours too if you don't want a usual pint.

Food looked awesome especially the burgers but only had beers, they were great. The rooftop has stunning views. Aaron the owner was awesome I came with my service animal and he new exactly what to ask and what not too, on the way out he thanked us for having a well behaved dog, I told him a real service animal will be well behaved and invisible to most people, challenge is people have abused the it for all the wrong reasons.

The views from here are absolutely amazing. I also loved that they had overhead coverage for shade, so that the majority of us were not sitting in the sun. Service is great everyone there is friendly. We ordered chicken wings, TWICE because they were so delicious! The fries were really good too. Next time we are in the area. We will absolutely be back for more! Delicious

Ouray is a quirky mountain town and Ouray Brewery fits right in - in a good way. I had their brewery cheese hamburger and it fit the moment. The French fries that accompanied the burger were warm and crispy. Staff provided friendly service and tips on what to see around town. Quirky vibe with very unique bar seating (I will leave it at that).

Service and atmosphere are great! Love those swings at the bar. But the food is meh. There are better spots in town.

Can I bring my dog to the rooftop area?

Last I knew, dogs are only allowed at the tables at the outdoor area along the street.

It's a 140-year place with history and charm and creaks in the floor and a dead bear on the wall and preserved painting of a woman on the bar floor... that kinda spot. And we wouldn't change a thing. The views are spectacular all around, the drive into Ouray is beautiful and The Western puts you in great position to walk Main Street or hike up to Cascade Falls. The bar and bartenders are cocktails are all super cool, including a single large branded ice cube in the glass. Let's talk about the restaurant, though. I didn't want to venture and we gave it a shot. Nothing on the menu really even looked appetizing to me or the kids but we put on a good face anyway for mom. We ate all the food and our words--it was all delicious! By the way: I've spoken to locals and frequenters of Ouray who say that The Western was once considered kinda dumpy before a renovation in the past few years. I can't speak for how it was then, but I can tell you how it is now is just where I want to be.

If you can, do it. It completely elevates the experience. The amuse-bouche was the perfect start to the meal, a bright, refreshing citrus bite with goat cheese, prosciutto, and a light acidic glaze. Thoughtful, balanced, and such a great opening note for the evening. Next was the butternut squash ravioli, and honestly, the sauce alone was memorable. Rich without being heavy, deeply flavorful, and one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal ends. We followed that with the ribeye, cooked medium-well, paired with potato fingers. The steak came with a fantastic chimichurri, and the chef even stopped by to recommend a finishing salt specifically for the ribeye. That level of attention to detail, combined with thoughtful table side service, really stood out. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the bar staff. The creativity behind the drink menu is impressive, and the cocktails are genuinely fun, inventive, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. It's no surprise the drink menu has recently won awards, and you can absolutely taste why. What truly made the experience special was watching the kitchen in action. The female lead chef was calm, focused, and clearly guiding the team with confidence. It felt like watching a well-orchestrated dance, and the food absolutely reflected that leadership. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she ends up with a spot on one of the Top Chef shows. This place is a must stop. Grab the chef's table if you can, enjoy the cocktails, and trust the kitchen. The talent here is real, and it shows.

My buddy had a cocktail which he didn't really care for, but that was just personal taste reasons. The service was slow, even though they were running around like crazy. They seemed understaffed, but I'm not really sure it seemed like they were just inefficient. The staff was stressed and not real friendly, but not rude either. I also ordered the zucchini fried strips for an appetizer they were OK. They brought out the smallest little dip of ranch dressing to go with them. I think I've ever seen. I believe for the pizza, the water and the drink and the appetizer it all came out to about $70 with tip. Which is about average in this town, but dang that seems high to me. Now the pizza was really good and for two of us, we couldn't finish at all so that's a good thing. We did take three pieces back to our cabin to finish up the next morning for breakfast. I love cold pizza for breakfast. It's weird. I know that I love it lol . Would I go back to this place? Yeah I think so. Other times I've been in town. I've noticed this place is always packed and people are always waiting outside so I probably would not stand in line for this restaurant.

There is a lot to like about this little six room hotel. All of your communications are handled…read moreremotely and they do it well. They have a small kitchenette with a fridge, bags of ice and coffee machines and they restock it daily. They also offer a whisky bar and a rooftop bar. The rooftop bar has a great view and a good bartender but it closes at 8:00 pm. The negatives are: the whiskey bar is never open. Maybe in the height of summer but certainly not when we were they (for three nights) and when I asked the bartender told me he had no plans to open it. However the real negative was the bathroom in our room (The Memphis). My wife always says that innkeepers who run boutique properties should stay in every room for one night. I think that if they had done they would understand the drawbacks of our room. The shower area has one open wall that let's water spill out over the rest of the bathroom. They have a rain shower head and wall mounted head that is the perfect for those vertically challenged folk (4'10" and under fit perfectly). Most wall mount shower heads have slider bars to make them usable. There is no housekeeping, which again, I get. It's a small property. But they literally have no place to dry your towels other than to hang them on handles of the sliding door leading to the bathroom. There is also no counter space to put your toiletries. Are these first world problems, yes they are but to us they made the difference between a meh stay and a good one.

Our room was the Silver Belle. The views from the room itself is incredible. The only thing that was unexpected was this isn't really a hotel rather a shared airbnb/ restaurant with separated rooms that lock (but I think that's fairly common in this location ‍) But it was an amazing experience. Part of the reason we booked this location was for the rooftop patio and it did NOT disappoint. The Thai restaurant will serve you food there as well which is delicious! I definitely would stay here again if I come back to Ouray!
