I had a very disappointing experience at Waffle House recently, and I feel it's important to share. My family and I went in for breakfast, and right from the start, things went poorly. We chose a table that was clearly still dirty. A male employee kindly came over to clean it, but then a woman (the one pictured) told him not to worry because she had already cleaned it--which clearly wasn't true. Unfortunately, she ended up being our server. She never introduced herself or greeted us properly. Instead of a simple "Hi, how are you?" or offering to take our drink order, she just walked up with her notepad and said, "Do you guys need more time?" in a rude tone. There was no warmth or professionalism in her attitude. When we gave her our drink orders and politely said "thank you," she didn't acknowledge it or say a word. She returned later for our food order with the same cold attitude and continued to be short and dismissive throughout the meal. What made it worse was that we watched her be friendly and polite to other tables--introducing herself, smiling, offering refills, and saying "you're welcome." It was clear we were being treated differently, and I have no idea why. Because of the poor service and lack of basic courtesy, I didn't leave a tip. I truly don't believe it was deserved. We won't be returning to this location. read more

Server/cook was inviting, which was followed up with a bit of cold dialogue. After a small interaction regarding the menu she began to brighten up, and offered my niece a free waffle. The temperature was set to ice box , but when we looked at the forecast it's going to be 90 degrees later, so I understand. The food was delicious and we ate all of our meals. Glad we researched YELP first. It's funny, when looking at Waffle House reviews, they are really varied, depending on location. I've never been, and since we were traveling down south, my husband said we'd get really good breakfast at Waffle House. We looked at a bunch of reviews here on Yelp first and found this location to be good. It was. Coffee was very good - if you're looking for that, as I always am, you'll be all set! Staff was working very hard and our waiter was friendly. Glad we found a W.H. that had good reviews for my first time here. read more

After having a terrible experience at another restraint at, our group of 11 walked into this Waffle House location at around 10:15 tonite. Although there appeared to be only one server and one cook working, they handled things like champions. We were greeted immediately and with enthusiasm. Our orders were taken promptly, and our food came out surprisingly quickly. The service was outstanding and exceeding every expectation that our large group had after waiting 20+ minutes at another restaurant wIthout ever being seated. Job well done, Waffle House. read more

You see, we weren't from Tennessee. We were 4 visitors from north of the Mason Dixon, and we were still inebriated from our Nashville 3-night debauchery the night before. All we wanted was deliciousness and serenity to set us up on our pending 14 hour excursion home. The Waffle House in Whitehouse, TH failed to deliver on the latter. This isn't your typical review. It's Waffle House. The food is average at best and I can't for the life of me fathom how anyone gives the food alone more than a star. Maybe 2. But, Denny's? Even IHOP before they became a burger joint that one time. Anyway, this review is about "the lady". If you know, you know. Screaming while she read orders! Yelling at her cooks! Alerting her waiters and waitresses their food is ready at maximum decibels. This was no song bird of her generation either. I've read the reviews on here -- the "smoke break every 5 minutes lady". That's her. Like nails on a chalk board. A donkey braying (ee-aw). All of it, piercing our ears. Destroying what brain cells we were trying to preserve for our arduous journey. It took us 2.5 years to recover. 2.5 years to put our wounds aside and warn the weary customers who oddly check Yelp for a review of a glorified gas station breakfast chain restaurant: lest you desire perforated ear drums and a slight brain hemorrhage -- you're better off. I suppose it had to happen at least once in my life, but I finally ordered something other than a waffle at a Waffle House. I usually order their All-Star Special, knowing full well that many of the items on the plate would go untouched. My wife and daughter and I were driving around, enjoying the Fall foliage, and when we saw the Waffle House, we realized that we were all hungry. Two good ole boys held the doors for us as the wafting scent of burnt toast and screaming waitresses enticed us in. The drinks were constantly late had to flag down my waiter more than once beciase he wasnt paying attention. Then we order my hashbrowns with cheese on another plate they came at the end my friends grits didnt come until we asked multiple times. No syrup with the waffle, nothing came out together. I've always liked Waffle House, but this one in particular, I was very disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in the service or food. I was disappointed in the 3 cooks preparing food without any gloves. One of them was outside smoking when I entered the restaurant. She wouldn't have washed her hands until she noticed me watching her all the way to the grill and acted as if she forgot and put some gloves on. The other two cooks still didn't put any on. One of the cooks continuously pushed her hair back with her hands and finished preparing food. I hope someone in charge look at the reviews and correct this issue. read more

We strive to visit as many Waffle Houses for breakfast as we can when traveling since we don't have any in Michigan, and this Waffle House in White House, Tennessee, exemplified what we love about all of them. Fast service, scrumptious grits, crisp bacon, tender waffles, and a hash brown mélange you won't find anywhere else. In terms of food, it's the Waffle House and exactly what you'd expect. In terms of service, staff, and overall customer satisfaction, my expectations were blown away. While passing through on a road trip to Florida I stopped here for breakfast. Upon leaving my car broke down and was stuck in their parking lot for the next several hours. Everyone working at this location was more than eager to lend a helping hand and go above and beyond to make sure I was ok. Stop here for a bite to eat and you'll leave with not only a full stomach, but your faith restored in humanity. read more

Yes, I enjoy someone else cooking breakfast for me, and the food here is usually great and on-time. Sometimes a server fudges up your order, but that's any Waffle House, so it's a moot point. The management is more than pleased to adjust your ticket for mistakes, and will even buy your meal if they mess it up - please don't abuse that, it's a blessing to have someone else cooking for you to begin with, and their prices are right where they need to be. The restrooms could be sanitized regularly (please), and the littering of cigarette butts by the front door and parking lot needs to stop, it's gross and only lends to my theory that most cigarette smokers are lazy pigs that don't care about the environment. If that troubles you, spend a day cleaning up a few miles of roadside before commenting. There's your star dinger btw, clean up the restrooms and the butts, and I'll be happy to update my review. Worst Waffle House I've ever been too. Toast was basically plain bread, eggs were way under cooked and still chirping, hash browns were burnt, waffle resembled a wet sponge. After complaining they only took 10% off, avoid this location! read more
