I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but after being there for about 30 minutes, I was so into it! This was a really fun time; something different to do. And I would definitely make it an annual activity. The food and drinks were very reasonably priced. The only downside to it was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. But all-in-all, fun time, and I will be back next year! *We had tickets to go on July 5th, but they were so busy, they ran out of parking, and told us to just come back and use our tickets another weekend. Took my wife to experience motor sports racing for the first time. They had sprint cars and trucks. Most boring racing I had ever seen. It was more like a parade o shinny entries. No one challenged another for a position on the track, not wanting to scratch their pretty race cars. We watched a second place truck go from second to last, afraid to dive down to the inside lane when there were numerous openings big enough to drive a motor home into. We left before the main event out of boredom. read more

This is the first time we have been to an event here. Our granddaughters fiance built a racecar so of course we had to go show our support. Got there just in time for the race. Handicap parking is available, FYI. You park in a dirt parking lot so be mindful of your steps. You can walk thru the pit area before race begins and check the cars out. Concession stand is on site but be prepared to wait. We took our own drinks. Seating is on bleachers and the grandstand was not open for this event as it was the last race for the season. But we had fun . Especially since we had someone to cheer for! Good time only $10 to get in so that was also nice. And yes the cars will and do wreck right in front of you. This raceway is under new ownership. This track is now become a 'Certified 'NASCAR Track.' They've revamped every aspect of their operations -- for the better! Food and beverages are absolutely fantastic, generous portions and very reasonably priced! Entrance fees are really reasonable and the events and entertainment are all great! This was our second trip out for the annual figure eight race put on by Northwest Figure Eight Racing, and this is one of our favorite tracks to race at! Colorado National Speedway is fun to attend but there is violence here just about every week. Some people were recently injured and a bunch taken to the hospital when a fight broke out (a regular occurrence) Security watched....(nice...NOT!) This has escalated all summer. They don't pay employees what they are worth, is a total revolving door. Most are young kids that could care less what their job is, they are on the clock - that's all that matters. Show up OR don't! They don't care. The GM is a total ass, he does not respect the employees and he is as rude as it gets. Crowds are too big, lines too long, parking is a freaking nightmare getting IN and OUT! The new owner has made a few improvements (that were LONG overdue) but they really need to work on safety for the employees AS WELL AS PATRONS! A great start would be a new GM that actually cares about the caliber of employees he hires....and pays them what they are worth. read more

I have loved going to CNS. After July 6th (Fourth of July weekend Special) they showed they can't handle big crowds (they got the people from Bandimere). It took forever to park. At one point people were being turned away even though they had tickets but they were told the event was sold out. People had to park on both sides of the street going into the venue. Also, people were giving a heads up about parking on Facebook and CNS would delete those posts. Finding seating was a nightmare and if you wanted food it took 45 mins to an hour to get it so you missed the races. On non special event racing days CNS is great but if you go on a special event be warned. They have a lot to learn about crowds. Bring your own snacks if you go on a special event night too! I've been there before on special events and it was nothing like this mess. I think with Bandimere closing it caused more people to go to CNS. read more

The line to get in was god awful, cars had to park outside the facility to even get in. Once we were in @$22/ticket. . there was no where to sit! People had blankets strewn across benches to save seating, we could upgrade to beer garden, but again, no seating.. or we could upgrade to the pits, but again no seating. I have loved coming here for Years, but unfortunately the owner has over sold the facility. We spent $140 for my family and had to leave an hour after everything started due to NO WHERE TO SIT! I'll NEVER buy tickets here.. ever agin.. I suggest you avoid this raceway as much as possible. No refunds, no exceptions. Even when there is overflow.. PASS. ​sad to see Bandimiere close, so much better at handling a crowd. read more

I was offered a position managing a kitchen with 15 staff by Jim, the owner of Colorado National Speedway. I had two interviews. One with General Manager, the general manager and another with my co-worker and the GM. My co-worker also reports to the GM. In the first interview the GM made it clear that my co-worker was threatened by having another employee who also reports to the GM. I tried to navigate this situation with professionalism and ethics...didn't want to step on anyones toes. I was told by the GM that I needed to learn all of the positions so I could fill in if someone didn't show up for work or quit. I had no problem with this. Both Saturdays when I worked I covered the frier, so this is not consistent with what I was told. I was proficient in that job and expected I would be given another job. I was also told via text from the GM that I would be working 40 hours. For the time I was at the Speedway I worked less than 30. I received conflicting information from co-worker and the GM regarding my hours, overtime and my schedule. I clarified that Brian was my boss and he would dictate my schedule. There were incidents where my c--worker was rude to me. Ie, she told me "1:00 means 1:00 "and then hung up on me. However, the GM told me overtime was not an issue. I always arrive to work 15 minutes early but do not clock in until the time that's on my schedule. There was one time, however, that Brian clocked me in early. The GM communicated to me when he dismissed me that not attending orientation was an issue. Orientation was held on a Saturday. At that time I thought I had covid. On Monday I tested positive for RSV. I told the GM on Monday about this test. I asked him if he needed the test. He said no. As far a viruses work, you are the most contagious in the early stages. So I didn't think it was a great idea for me to be around people when I was sick. As well, I didn't feel great. On Tuesday May 15th the GM said via text that I missed a 10:00 meeting. He also said he left me a voicemail message around 11:00. I never received the message and visited Verizon to see what was going on with my phone. I also texted the GM and my co-worker multiple times and didn't hear back from either of them. I did go to the Speed way that evening but the gates were locked and I couldn't get in. Still no word from either my co-worker or the GM. This had not been the case previously so I was a little taken back and confused. I wasn't sure what was going on in that they ghosted me. One hour before my shift was supposed to start on Wednesday I received a call from the GM terminating my employment. I was very professional and wish the same had been returned. Later on Wednesday my c0-worker did text me and apologized for the lack of communication on Tuesday. Colorado Nation Speedway does not comply with Colorado employment laws as far as breaks and lunch hours are concerned. Colorado employment law states that an employee get a 10 minute break every 4 hours and a 30 minute lunch break after working 5 hours. I had a 12 hour shift as did all 100 employees every Saturday. Most of the employee are high school students. They won't or don't know how to advocate for their rights. I however, do. I spoke with Jim, the owner on Saturday. He said he would speak with the GM. I never heard back from him, nor did I hear from the GM or my co-worker. I didn't know if I had a job. What happened to me is unethical , unprofessional and just plain wrong. I am taking the owner, Jim to court. The GM violated the Colorado state law but Jim is ultimately responsible for his employees. read more

Used to go here when it was a dirt track and support my dad as stock car and IMCA modified driver. My only complaint would be to have more classes of cars and breakup the heats...cool to see the younger teens racing in their own class. read more

The Vegas Drift/ Southwest Drift series was going on. The Bench Seating is Adequate, could definitely use a fresh coat of paint on the wood. But hey its not a Dog Track. Its a Race Track. They also have A Dirt Track setup in the middle for BMX and if your really adventurous maybe trucks too? Its a Good Cheap Night for the whole family. And they have lots of events going on. Its only a 20 minute drive from Denver as well. Add it to your list. Unless you dont Like Motorsports. read more

This is a great place to watch a race. They are very efficient in getting people in and out of the parking lots. The races themselves can be on the short side some nights. I am not sure if there is a noise ordinance in place in the area. I do like the mix of divisions at the track. I also like they sometimes will allow races from ordinary cars. My one suggestion for the spectator races would be to separate the cars by engine size/fuel type (gas, electric) read more

This used to be a great track w great racing on a high level with intense competition and high car counts . Now they have low car counts NO COMPETITION and far to many classes eliminating the quality and quantity of cars in exchange for budget racing and no entertainment Save your money go to the park and feed ducks . Smoking inside the gate RUINED my experience! Program said 'Rain or Shine' and they cancelled 1/3 of the show due to rain! Security and most of the employees were GREAT. I will return but wish they would keep the smokers outside or provide a Smoking Section. read more

The Demo X race last night 8/19 was judged incorrectly and this needs to be rectified. The winner was not #37, you can clearly see #62 passed him and was the winner. In the pits the driver of #37 even admitted that he got 2nd place and that he was passed by #62, yet still took the money and recognition of 1st place. This was an unfair call and needs to be reviewed. All of the drivers do this as a hobby and spend countless hours of their time, money and put their lives on the line all for a good show and clean race. When it is called unfairly and the race fans know it... as well as the drivers, then CNS needs to right this wrong. We all love coming out to support this organization and drivers, but people need to know the shady politics that happen behind the scenes and correct their actions. read more

I'm not surprised at all that nobody has yet reviewed Colorado National Speedway. There aren't as many NASCAR fans out here as I'd hoped. I'm a huge NASCAR fan, and I love auto racing. No, I'm not a redneck. No I'm not from the south. No I've never slept with a family member, and I DESPISE country music. I'm from New England, every girlfriend I've ever had has been from outside my family, I have a master's degree (whoa, an intelligent NASCAR fan!) and I like modern rock. That being said, CNS is a good family fun time. If you've never been to a race, it's cheap, so you oughta check it out. Normal Saturday racing costs $10 for person, unless your a kid. Kids are cheaper. Food and drink are pretty inexpensive at the track. The lady-friend and I went up and spent $14 on two cheeseburgers, a bottle of water, and a thing of onion rings that was actually pretty super. At The Pepsi Center you'd spend $25 on all that. The racing action is decent, though I've been to better short tracks. I wish the track was shorter for some more beating and banging between the cars, but the Late Models, Mini Sprints, and Pro Trucks are surprisingly quick. CNS also features different "fun" races every weekend for fans. One is the Circle Drags, a kind of "run what you brung" race where two drivers race their street cars for one lap. Another is the figure-8 race where street stock style cars race around a figure 8...call it a demolition derby. Then of course they have the train race. Three cars chained together. The front car has an engine but no brakes, the middle car is empty, and the last car has brakes but no engine. It's a damn good time. It's really hard to find 4 hours worth of entertainment for $10, and if you can pick a car up front and follow him through his races, you might turn yourself into a racing fan! So go to CNS and give something new a try. Other than sleeping with your cousins. read more

Great entertainment on saturday nights. I love going to the races here there is such a great variety. The facility is in good shape for how old it is. The staff here do a good job at keeping the facility safe and clean. The drinks are at a decent price as well but best off all outside food and drinks excluding alchohol can be brought in. This is a great place to come on a Saturday night when you don't have much planned. The car races are great, definitely on the loud side so if you bring children bring ear protection. I like that you can bring in your own food, and the beer/drinks aren't horribly expensive. We have always enjoyed coming here and hanging out with friends. Usually the races are around 630 so the weather has always been nice. Wear comfy shoes as you park in a dirt field and if its packed you might be parking far away. read more

Great way to spend a good Saturday night outdoors. Ok to bring in your in snacks and water. The trains are the best for some close call action. Crazy eights too. Some nights you can race your own car. Mainly backless bleachers. Bring a seat rest or cushion for added comfort. Oh, don't forget ear protection for the young set. went to the races last weekend. had a blast. gets 4 instead of 5 because the seating area is in need of some help. paint chips fell on me and my food. but the bathrooms were surprisingly clean, the beers were cheep (and cold) and every staff member i spoke with seemed happy to have folks there. one could easily play a game of wal mart bingo there as well. for $10, it is a better deal that the rockies. but bring your own earplugs. read more

Went to enjoy Colorado National Speedway's 4th of July celebration and left VERY disappointed! Slow boring night with motorcycles???????? I paid to see car races and a fantastic fireworks display. But what I received was big mounds of dirt piled up in the infield that blocked the view of at least 25% of the car races. Two VERY boring motorcycle races!!!!! A field of Modified Coupes that you count the cars on one hand in the race. The fireworks display was less than normal. The highlight of the evening was the Super Late Models that put on the ONLY show of the evening with Preston Peltier with his exciting SURPRISE finish!! I'm just a old "was" loyal fan of Colorado National Speedway since 1971 that had to "vent" my disappointment! read more

Racing was great. Staff was less than helpful! Some of our stuff fell through the bleachers. Nobody really seemed to care.

First timer at this track. I'm a veteran of 100's of short track races in the midwest and southeast. These guys lacked organization. The officials didn't really control the events. The seating is adequate but I've experienced better almost everywhere. The restrooms are o.k. Concessions are crammed with people lined up all the way to the grandstand. Getting in and out of the parking is a little vague. No clear driveway exit. Ticket prices are what you expect. Overall, I'll probably check it out again on a regular event night. C+. read more
