After having been to the restaurant 3 times now for the Buffet I've drawn some conclusions & they are 1) Big selection 2) Food is always hot 3) Always stocked 4) The quality is fine but nothing special 5) Great service 6) Priced on the high side ( Buffet w Beverage = $21+ ) 7) Staff is well trained. Not sure what happened, but we stopped here two years in a row on our way to Branson, and we thought it was great. We stopped there this year and the lighting was dim, some items on the salad bar were not cold, the fried green tomatoes were not very good and were mushy, overall it just was not the experience that we had experienced the prior two or three times we were there. Probably won't stop there again, but we'll find another place as there are a lot of places to eat in the area. read more

My husband and I stoped to have lunch on our way home to Missouri. This was the most awful buffet we have ever experienced. The food was cold and it all seems to be prepackaged frozen. I are nothing. The shrimp could not be bitten. The fish smelled awful. The pulled pork was so dry. The mashed potatoes were lumpy, unseasoned and cold. I could go on but I will stop here. This WS is a bit different; enter and choise drinks & entrees, then start fixing your food-plates. Pay the cashier as you leave; after eating. Better than average food selection, and outstanding service! This location had a huge number of friendly 'waitresses' to bring extra drinks, condiments, potatoes, etc.. The Frog Legs were smallish, but were still some of the best I have had inna restaurant! The Fried Clam Strips were also very good, as was the shrimp! We have eaten here regularly with no problems. HOWEVER, this may be our last. We sat at the farthest table from the buffet beside the doorway that goes in to the room with outside view. (Close to the drinks.) We encountered 4 big roaches on our table. The waitress saw 3 of them. We also took pics. Sorry, but I have to draw the line with roaches. I really hate it too because it has been a regular eating place for us. (If they are on the tables they are in the kitchen.) read more

Awesome conference and party room! Food buffet was good and so are the steaks. The buffet bar is humongous it had a huge salad area, desserts of every kind. Sides galore and a taco/nacho bar. The homemade pinto beans were delicious. They had many comfort foods all from scratch such as chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, fried catfish, meatloaf and so many things I can't recall them. The prices are super family friendly, my wallet thanks me. Lol I didn't know what all and how good the buffet was so upon arrival I ordered sirloin tips with sautéed onions and mushrooms with French fry's it was under $12 and came with that huge delicious bar they even had ice cream. Our waitress was fantastic. I actually was here for a function honoring my Aunt in the conference room so after we ate we went in that room. It was sat with long tables and microphones and a stage. I'd of ate in there but didn't know it was sat up for dining as well. I'd recommend this place for any meal, party or conference read more

If you are super hungry this is a good place to go but beware if you have food allergies as they put pecans and/or peanuts in some things and no warning. The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired as far as cleanliness. read more

For nearly 25 years this restaurant has been our "go to" place for comfort food. I can't count the times we have recommended it to visitors. Dinner tonight was a disaster. All of the fried food was absolutely petrified. It had been on the steam table for a long time and not refreshed. The popcorn shrimp was hard as marbles. The chicken was over done or totally neglected. The fish was crunchy. There never seems to be any wings or drumsticks which would be perfect for kids. The service was good, but beverage refills were warm and devoid of ice. The hamburger "steak" had been pre-cooked and stayed on the grill too long. I am deeply saddened to see our local institution deteriorate to a state much lower than mediocrity. All this in the midst of a price increase on the buffet. I don't mind paying the price if the food quality justifies the price. It doesn't. read more

Service was excellent, and I was greeted. That is the only thing I found to be good the buffet food was not hot and was lukewarm. The fish that was on the bar was overcooked. Not a good view; the inside was dingy lighting was poor inside. Both entrees had a baked potato and salad neither order came with butter/sour cream for the baked potato, neither came with salad dressing and the chicken fried steak did not come with any gravy. Definitely not worth the price that you pay for for quality of food. Fried green tomatoes? More like soggy breaded slices of something! Very bland, very soggy, very horrible tasting!!! The hush puppies were so hard they were practically inedible. The brisket was more like rubber. Mashed potatoes and gravy? More like white hash with brown stuff. Lots of breaded foods, deep fried foods, in edible crap. Cornbread stuffing? I would actually call it cooked cardboard. The salad bar is quite huge, but there is no place to sit your plate in order to serve yourself. People are hanging the sleeves into different foods as they fill their plates. Unless they just drag the spoons over the other food!!! Yuck!!! Very dissatisfied with the food here. Definitely not worth the price that you pay. The staff walk right in front of you instead of waiting for THE CUSTOMER to pass. Very cramped area and almost claustrophobic. If you are handicapped, or otherwise in need of additional assistance, this is not a good place for you. The serving areas are very narrow. If you need more plates you need to ask your server. Good luck with that!!! They are too busy standing in the corner talking to each other. The finale of my visit came when I was wanting to pay and leave. The cashier was nowhere to be found. Literally three minutes later she comes, says absolutely nothing except "thank you for coming in". Would have been nice to hear an apology for making me wait. Or a quick "How was everything?" This was my first to WS & to this location. Service was impeccable, all were friendly without being the type that sits with you (ugh!). Very attentive. My server was Andy (looks like a handsome & talented Jonas Brother). Andy was phenomenal, made sure I had plenty of beverages fixings and anything else. His sister works there too and she was amazing - smart, efficient and focused while making you feel very welcome (didn't get her name sadly). Both did amazing jobs. The food was excellent - always fresh and temperature-appropriate ie) what was supposed to be cold, was cold. Whatever was supposed to be warm, was warm. They get it. Portions were great, they served my steak exactly like I wanted. Hats off to kitchen staff - chefs take a bow, sous chefs get kudos and the dishwashers did a perfect job - all dishes shiny clean and cutlery had no schmutZ on it. Just left the Western Sizzlin in Harrison Arkansas excellent food and service was great wait staff was very courteous and attentive. Food was hot great selection. Have been to the Western Sizzlin in Mountainhome Arkansas a couple of times rated them at one because the food was terrible and the wait staff was terrible. The Selection here in Harrison's Western Sizzlin was twice the size as Mountainhome with a much better selection the food was cooked much better and tasted delicious the extra half hour drive was worth it read more

Was here the other day. Dining room was really dirty. Carpet needs shampooer, window sills were thick with grit and dust. We moved tables and found the divider that separated our table from another was even more filthy than the window sill. One has to beg the question, if this is what the dining area looks like - what does the kitchen look like? Our food was over cooked and over spiced. Apparently they have no idea what medium-rare and medium are, we both received well-done steaks, we complained to the overworked waitress, but received no satisfaction. Finally we just ate the shoe leather and left. We won't be retuning. This would be a good place to put in a RESTAURANT!!! read more

I'm not a buffet fan, but, I love Western Sizzlin. I've went there for years and it's still good. This isn't the usual buffet, there's a taco buffet, salad buffet, dessert buffet and you get all the buffets when you order the buffet. Plus, they have homemade cheesebread rolls which are heavenly when smothered with butter. The waitstaff is polite, they fill your drink fast, the atmosphere is nice for a restaurant of this type. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's horrible. Same ol stuff on the bar as 30 years ago. Same ol desserts. Quality of food has gone way down over the recent years. Ice cream is worst I ever had. Steaks are too salty and never cooked right. Salad bar is good. Best thousand island dressing!!Broccoli cheese soup is watered down and horrible . The cheese sauce for nachos is watered down and nasty. You have to use steak sauce on the steaks to cover up the horrible taste. Watering down stuff to make it go further is not the way to go. :0( read more

Plan on over eating if you go to Western Sizzlin. I love their sirloin tips as long as they are not seasoned, too much salt if they are. And with the fried chicken, the HUGE selection of salad fixins including lots of good greens that are not cheap! Like romaine, spinach, and others that I'm not sure of. The price for an antique citizen is even better. I do believe it was about $11 bucks for the sirloin tips including the COMPLETE salad bar. I never buy soda out so that helps on the final bill. The staff is friendly, almost too friendly, (I hate getting interrupted during a conversation with "Is everything tasting ok?") Anyhow, it's a place to go to. We had a great experience at WS. My son has numerous food allergies and the manager said they would specially make anything for him so that all of us could eat there. They went out of there way to prepare food specifically for him, the rest of us ate from the buffet, which was excellent and the service was superb. Dining out is not always easy with our son, with so many limitations but everyone here made it a delightful experience. Thank you!!!
