Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs. When she politely expressed her disappointment, he responded that he was not her "doorman" or her "slave" and told her to leave. Her technician, Ann, kindly apologized and helped her to the pedicure chair, but the manager continued shouting that she had to leave. He then came into the pedicure area, pointed at her, and stated, "This is your last time here." No customer--especially a long-time patron with mobility challenges--should be treated with such disrespect and lack of compassion. He filed down the ends of my nails after the top coat, which made them look gritty and unfinished. My gel manicure cost $40 which was absolutely insane. Complementary tea and water is available upon check-in and freshwater is also available in the actual healing waters space. I also recommend that you arrive 15 minutes earlier that is not a suggestion. Your session time starts once you book so you can factor in undressing and getting ready for the healing waters space which is also coed.
