Our server Kelcie, who was 5* by the way, helped us in navigating all the intricacies to the ingredients. Lots of nuance to the menu. Our choices: lamb appetizer, black cod, sirloin, and chocolate mousse; each were tasty, presented well, and excellent dishes. The potato cake on the steak was very different and well done. Our Old Fashion had a nice taste. The place is very small and reservations are a must. The GM Michael came by and chatted us up...to thank us for coming, and glad they were able to accommodate our food needs. Nice touch. Excellent bathrooms. Thanks for that. Be prepared to spend $100 per person. Welcome to the Columbus culinary scene.

We were nervous at first because no one we talked to knew what Gene's was BUT we are SO SO SO glad we went! From the moment you step onto their property it was such an incredible experience. Who knew such a cute and quaint little restaurant could pack so much flavor and art into their food and such a personalized dining experience. While we had a reservation at 8:45, we decided to eat in at the bar after having the most incredible espresso martini of our lives and talking to John. My sister and I opted to share multiple courses - each of which was better than the last. It was an amazing experience and we were lucky enough to compliment and thank the executive chef in person. We left full and satisfied but not stuffed which is exactly what we were looking for! HIGHLY recommend Gene's if you're looking for an elevated dining experience and great service while in Dublin, Ohio!

We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I had the steak with a side of coleslaw, and both were outstanding. The steak was cooked well and seasoned perfectly, and even the coleslaw had great flavor. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully seasoned. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food and great service. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area.

I was a bit hesitant going in because it's been years since the last Yelp review -- that lack of recent buzz (good or bad) felt concerning. On a Saturday night, it wasn't overly busy, so we didn't have trouble getting a table (they don't take reservations but do accept call-aheads). I ordered the burger and onion rings, and both were genuinely delicious -- I was very happy with my food. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't as smooth for my friends. One has a severe seafood allergy, and she was shocked to learn that all fried items (fries, onion rings, etc.) are cooked in the same oil as the seafood. It made her nervous to order much else from the menu, and we almost walked out when we found out. A separate fryer or dedicated oil for non-seafood items seems like a basic accommodation these days. Two other friends are recovering alcoholics and were disappointed that the only "non-alcoholic" beer option still contained a slight amount of alcohol. Their only other choice was a sugary mocktail, which isn't great for diabetics either. In 2026, it's surprising that a restaurant/bar still struggles with these common dietary and lifestyle needs. The food we did eat was solid, but the evening felt dampened by the lack of basic accommodations. There are plenty of other places that handle allergies and non-drinkers much better. I would have scored them much higher if they could have accommodated this basics.

Crooked Can Brewery seems to be the center point. Then there are about 6 food options to choose. There were 4 of us and we all got something different. I got Dojo Dumpling. I got the pork dumplings and won ton soup. Dumplings were just OK. Not a lot of flavor. Same with the won ton soup. Good portion. But not a lot of flavor. Kinda bland. The Pita place was good. The person who got that loved it. The meatball place was good as well. But the serving for a bowl was tiny for the price. And the Burger place was a hit. Good burger and good fries. The brewery has a long bar that is on the one side. Lots of TV's everywhere and seating is everywhere. Got the apple cider. Again. No flavor. Kinda bland. Very disappointing. Love food halls. This place is popular and packed. But just thought it was OK and my food drink experience was just mediocre.

My husband and daughter ordered pizza from Meatball Mafia. The pizza came out fresh, hot, and steamy. They ordered a half cheese, half sausage pizza! The cheese on the pizza was super melty and had a nice cheese pull every bite - pure perfection! (5/5) I ordered the pork dumplings, pork bao, and french fries from Dumplings of Fury. The pork dumplings were pan fried and cooked perfectly; however, it seemed that the dumpling were all pork - no other filling. Too "meaty" for me! The pork bao were not my favorite either - the bao was cold and the pork belly was primarily fat (not worth the cost). Ironically, the french fries were the best part of my order. The fries were crispy, crunchy, and thick; however, a tad cold (they must have been sitting while the other items were cooking). (1/5) My husband and I also ordered drinks from Crooked Can Brewing. I believe he had an IPA while I enjoyed a Bloody Mary. (4/5) We would like to come back again and try some of the other food spots the next time we're in town! I like that they have a nice outside/patio area and would like to enjoy it once the weather's warmer!

While there were a few minor service issues, our server was kind and attentive and acknowledged the celebration with complimentary desserts, which we truly appreciated. After dinner, my cousin and I went to wash our hands and use the restroom. At the time, all stalls were occupied and one was out of service, so we waited. When a stall opened, my cousin kindly let me go first. I finished and stood outside the stalls waiting for her for about three minutes. During that time, I noticed several people going in and out of the restroom area. I also saw a man sitting in a chair along the hallway wall near the stalls, hunched over. Shortly after, a woman exited the restroom and grabbed him to leave. I thought nothing of it and minded my own business. I also observed the executive chef enter one of the restroom stalls. When my cousin exited, she mentioned that the stall smelled strongly of smoke and that three girls had exited the stall before she entered. She said the stall smelled like marijuana but used it only because it was the only option available. She also pointed out that the man sitting outside appeared to be associated with the group who had been in the stall. We then returned to our patio table where our family was seated. Our server brought out her birthday pie along with another complimentary dessert. She blew out the candle, we shared dessert, and we began preparing to leave. A few minutes later, while we were still seated on the patio, the general manager, Nick Krafft, approached our table accompanied by Executive Chef Michael Wagner. We initially assumed he was checking in on our experience. Instead, he immediately stated, "I'm going to have to ask you not to smoke in our restaurant and bathroom," directing the accusation at my cousin and me. We were completely taken aback by both the accusation and the manner in which it was delivered. We calmly explained that it was not us and described exactly what we had observed in the restroom. We stated that neither of us smoke and never have. We even offered to have our belongings checked and explained that we had not taken any jackets or purses with us to the restroom, as our family remained at the table. Despite this, the general manager refused to listen or consider our explanation and continued to place blame on us. He did not speak to our server, who had interacted with us just moments earlier while bringing out the birthday dessert, nor did he attempt to investigate further or de-escalate the situation. As we were leaving, my fiancé asked the general manager if he actually smelled smoke on either of us. He responded "yes," which was not true, and continued to push a conclusion he had already formed. No apology was offered. We spent over $1,000 celebrating a family birthday at a restaurant we had trusted and enjoyed in the past. Instead, the evening ended with my cousin's birthday being overshadowed by an unfounded accusation. There were many guests dining that evening, yet blame was placed solely on two women who had simply used the restroom. I am a Nurse Practitioner, and my cousin is a special education teacher for autistic children. Neither of us have ever smoked. Being accused in this manner was humiliating, hurtful, and completely unnecessary. I was later contacted by the regional manager, who was understanding. However, I believe this situation highlights the need for better investigation, accountability, and staff training to prevent similar experiences in the future. A personal apology from Nick, acknowledging his actions and taking accountability, would be an appropriate step forward after innocent guests were wrongly blamed and a birthday celebration was ruined.
