I had already viewed the menu before hand and found a couple must have items. we ordered the empanadas ( cheese and chicken) Taco Arepas, Sweet and Sour Pork Belly and Hallaquitas Chicharron's. These dishes were seasoned so well, the sauces provided were perfection. At one point we both said we could just drink the cilantro sauce. We also got the mini sweet arepas and while parts of the dish were good it was an interesting mixture to have as one bite. None the less this place is a 10/10 for flavor, service was amazing we felt very taken care of and the pricing was very reasonable For a scratch kitchen. This place is a must try!

Knowing the power that online reviews can have and taking some experiences with a grain of salt…read morehere and there because sometimes you hit that one off day where maybe a place that's normally epic just doesn't quite have their stuff together, I find that I end up giving 5 stars in a range that goes from "really good" to "Michelin needs to stop in here (or already has)." This is definitely on the latter end of the spectrum. I popped in here tonight for a late dinner (830ish on a Saturday) to find the place relatively busy but with plenty of open seats. The decor was a nice mix of dark and light with the bright green accents plus a big screen TV cycling tropical getaways (I assume from places in Latin America). I was seated and tended to quickly by a hostess and server, respectively. I got my order in for a coconut mojito and a chicharron arepa right away. My mojito came shortly thereafter with my arepa not long after that. The mojito, as you can see, was garnished with a generous amount of shredded coconut on top and was heavier and creamier than a normal mojito, lighter on the mint flavor and pushing closer to a piña colada than a mojito. All in all though, still quite a refreshing drink after a hot and humid day. The arepa though was really the star of the show. The flavors and textures and everything about it were just mind-blowing. The handmade cheese, the incredibly seasoned and cooked pork, and the crispy arepa were all just *BOOM*. The avocado had a little bit of surface darkness on the one end that could have been polished up a little bit but not the end of the world. One I finished with these, I waited patiently for a while for my server to come back but alas I had to pop up to the bar to get my caipirinha. This version was slightly sweeter than some versions I've had and I don't mind sweet, but just be aware for those who may be considering it. Eventually, my server came back and apologized for being gone so long as she was conversing with her boss. Like I said... grain of salt. Aside from a minor inconvenience of having to walk 10 feet to the bar myself, this place absolutely blew me away and I will absolutely come back if I ever find myself in town again. Bonus points for having gluten and allergen callouts on their normal menu as well!

Since I was ordering take away, I actually looked at the menu closer and decided to do a Build Your Own bowl with a lettuce base, roasted chicken, and all my favorite toppings! Only change I would make next time is not getting the fajita peppers and onions - too many green peppers for my preference and also changed the flavor of the overall bowl. That aside my bowl was delicious - nice amount of protein and so many great flavors. I'll likely go this route in the future as well! I also grabbed one of their agua frescos - it was a nice treat if you're looking for a non-alcoholic option, though it reminded me a bit of flavored sprite. I ordered online and my food was ready within the time it said it would be when I ordered. Friendly service at the hostess where you pick up your to go order.

I'll say first our server was fantastic. She was attentive even though she was busy. She was also talkative with our toddlers and playful with them. We went on a Sunday evening when it was very nice outside. I'm not sure if we came after a rush but there were many tables not bused and left a mess the whole time we were there. The floors were disgusting with food and stickiness throughout the restaurant. The kitchen sent food out pretty slow. The bowl was so bland. Our hotel breakfast had better chicken on their breakfast bar for protein breakfast bowls. The taco was decent but also just meh. I think most of their tacos they try to do too much - too many flavors and textures. Not many photos to provide because I was there with another 2 and both of our toddlers so we were juggling a lot feeding ourselves and the kids.

I chose the cilantro rice and pinto beans. I loved the creamy pinto beans - best beans I've ever gotten in a restaurant - but the rice had little taste and was dry. The chicken was flavorful. I would go again but not order the cilantro rice.

The main dining space there has five tables in the main area plus three booths. We chose one of the booths which just gave us tiny bit of privacy and additional comfort. Eli brought us waters and complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was excellent and chips were fresh. The menu has both Peruvian items and Mexican items. They are known for their chicken so I ordered two chicken tacos and one shrimp. My husband ordered el pastor and the carne asada. We also ordered a causa de pollo to share. Not knowing what the causa de pollo was (Peruvian dish) we were quite happy when it arrived. Turns out it is pureed yellow potato and yellow chili paste formed into two round circles. Then with their broiled chicken shredded, raw carrot, green onion and a tiny bit of sweet mayonnaise (similar to Japanese mayo) It was the shining star of this meal. Perfect. We shamelessly mmmmmm'd and ooooooooh'd while eating it. (True) Soon our tacos came out. They were well presented and came on taco stands. They looked much better than the last two taco places we went to. We bit into them and they tasted amazing. Our favorite was the chicken with a house green mystery sauce. We left full and happy. 4 star rating only for restaurant not having enough cash to give us exact change and also for charging customers 3% more if they used credit. Service and food were both was excellent, otherwise.
