I've loved Cuco's since the days when they had a grocery store inside. We were craving some good eats (plus chips and salsa) and they delivered! Got myself my beloved tri-color enchiladas and the Mr. got the tinga (sooooo freaking good!) A little sad to see tortas off the menu, but that tinga seriously slaps! Friendly service, not crowded today, zero wait!

I'm in a relatively, unfamiliar city. My daughter would like to have Mexican food for dinner. Her friend would also like Mexican. What is a dad to do? Why, he takes out his IPhone and searches the internet of course. When searching YELP, I like a restaurant to have at least a 100 reviews and a 4-5 STAR rating to have full confidence. Than I look at the 10 most recent reviews to make sure they are consistent with the overall rating. After this process I threw out some names to the ladies. They selected Cucos Tanqueria. It worked out well. Cucos Tanqueria has the decor you would expect of a Mexican restaurant, colorful and vibrant. We all had lime Margaritas, They were $6.95 each. I had shaved ice while the ladies had theirs on the rocks. They did not skimp on the Tequila. Much appreciated Cucos. For entrees we had chicken Quesadilla $8.98, Fish Burrito $8.98, Puffy Pork Taco $3.69, a side of refried beans & rice and three orders of Flan $4.99 each. Flan is one of my favorite desserts. Great meal, drinks and company., I would not hesitate to return

My first time here. It was a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We sat at the bar area and immediately had chips and salsa in front of us. The fish tacos were a recommendation for us. Over all it was a pleasant experience and would think about coming back.

Pollo Chapala (so flavorful...and partially eaten because I couldn't wait to dig in!)

The service was quick and the server was wonderful. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual with a bar restaurant vibe but still good for family. The salsa and quest both have a kick but my 4yo didn't seem to mind. I ordered the Pollo Chapala and it was delicious. There was the perfect hint of lime to balance the spice and cheese flavors. Glad we stopped in on a friend's recommendation.

Tostada al la cart. Its not on the menu but if you ask, they will make them.

Cucos gets good reviews and is generally considered top notch by locals. Ive only been once. They get crowded. The hostess does speak any English. If too crowded, sit at bar. I had the tostadas ala cart and it was plenty. Top notch. Add a cerveza and chips and salsa and your good to go. They sell merchandise too. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Cash or credit.

I finally found our favorite Mexican restaurant!!! Omg the food was so fresh and delicious. First it started with warm chips and the freshest salsa. The server was beyond friendly and kind to our 2 kids. She was on top of all of our needs and the service was fast. The restaurant was very clean and themed well. I ordered a taco salad with steak and fajita veggie with a side of cilantro dressing. Omg this was one of the best salads I have ordered. The dressing was fresh and made it house. The rest of our food was just as amazing. We can't wait to go back!

Went after reading a couple reviews and was not disappointed. Probably the best nachos I've ever had. The tacos were incredible and a great value. In fact I think I'm headed back tonight to let my inner fast kid out.

Top 5 Mexican ever! Nothing fancy, just plain good. Came in on a Tuesday for dinner. Started with the Gold margarita, which was perfect! Had the Shrimp Diablo which was spicy and crazy good. The side of tortillas were fresh off the grill. Tasted like they were smoked. So good!!! Had a Don Cuco margarita for dessert. It was good, but the Gold was better. Daughter had the pineapple margarita and chicken enchiladas. Equally good. Service was fast and friendly. Love the authentic decor as well! Will come back again in a heart beat.

I haven't been here in years. We stopped for a drink on the way home and sat at the bar. My first time sitting at the bar. The service was awesome. So friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We just had a couple beers. And their amazing warm chips and salsa. The atmosphere is festive Mexican coastal. Very well done. Not over the top. Can't wait to go back. And thank you to Stacy for sharing the love of the jalapeño shot and helping to make our evening celebration even more meaningful.

Really nice service and great food. Small place but understandably popular. Desserts were so good, definitely grab one! I got the California burrito and it was a California burrito. I wish the Chipotle chicken was a bit more flavorful but it was good.

The food here is great. Cuco's I think is one of the better Mexican restaurants in town. Reasonable prices too. That's all you need to know if you're getting takeout from Cuco's. They also have multiple parking spots blocked off for takeout customers. On the other hand, if you're dining in, like I did last night, there are numerous issues. First, their parking lot is tiny and is shared with multiple other businesses. Multiple parking spots being blocked off for takeout exacerbates this problem. The real problem though is the trashy sports bar next door. They apparently have some aggressive road ragers as patron because there are cars that will cut you off and curse you out while you're searching for parking at Cuco's. (I saw those guys then go into said sports bar) The other issue is that Cuco's kitchen is slooooow. It took an hour for us to get our birria taco, chimichanga, and 2 kids tacos. At other Mexican restaurants, we'd be done eating and out the door in an hour! So in summary, takeout at Cuco's is recommended. Dining in on the other hand is painful.

I ordered UberEats from here based on Reddit and UberEats/Yelp reviews while I'm in Columbus for work this week. I was very satisfied!!! To be fair, I had an UberEats promo code for 50% off, so the amount of food I got seemed like a great deal for about $17 total after tip and all the fees. I really liked how guacamole was not an extra charge in the burrito bowl, and I ordered al pastor. There seemed to be a really good sized portion of meat in the burrito bowl. The only toppings I didn't get in my burrito bowl were black beans and sour cream. A small chips and salsa was only about $3.99, which seemed very reasonable for a pretty big bag of chips. The small queso was $2.99 or $3.99; it was satisfying but nothing too special. The birria soup was also surprisingly tasty! I never had birria soup; I've only had birria consommé with tacos in the past. I think there was rice in the soup, along with meat. I plan to eat the rest of the soup as leftovers tomorrow, but maybe add more protein to it. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for Mexican! Delivery was fast, efficient, and the food was still warm!

    Jalapeño margarita.

Think of the Mexican restaurant you loved growing up and would go to whenever you had the chance. It wasn't necessarily a unique name. Usually wasn't a franchise. But you counted on hot chips and that salsa that wasn't like other places. The margarita was truly jumbo sized and usually cheaper than what you get at some bar. The portions were plentiful, and you walk away with either severe stomach pain because you didn't want food to go to waste or with regret that you left that last piece of burrito untouched. Because I'm sometimes terrible at planning ahead, managed to book a table for two on Valentine's here at 7 pm. Myself and my Valentine's date had not been here, and she's vegan. So, you want a place where they can just pile on the guac, veggies, and rice/beans. From the parking lot, it seems that a lot of others had the same idea. After being seated, I knew I needed to try a margarita, the queso, and the fajitas. She had the vegetarian burrito. Every place always has their extra hot salsa that you have to ask for, specially. We're both Indian, so we joke whether something is "white" hot or "Indian" hot. And this one was something in between. The queso dip is fine. It's not as good as some other places, however. But the jalapeño margarita was ginormous and only $9. The burrito was like $8, and my fajitas were $11-12. Dinner for two with one cocktail, two plates, one side of guac, and one side of queso- $42. Pretty, pretty good. Would go back again. I've been told to try this place for Mexican. Efficient staff, and just walked away feeling like I got my money's worth. Was a good Valentine.

Usually you just get chips, a small bowl and a carafe of salsa, help yourself. This set the tone that this would be different than usual. I ordered steak fajita nachos and a Modelo Negra. I powered thru the chips and bean dip like it was my job. And it didn't disappoint. Really fresh and flavorful. Nachos are nachos, right? Wrong. How they are assembled has everything to do with their mouth feel as they cool down. I've had nachos that come out looking amazing but as they cool, turn into a disappointing chuck of chips held together by shredded cheese cement. These stayed loose with crunchy bites of peppers and onions, and the cheese sauce coated instead of becoming cement-like. I always order the same thing when trying a New Mexican spot. If the nachos are good, chances are everything is good! So I'll keep the almost 5 Star steak going. I agree, some of the best Mexican food in Columbus.

Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
