I am so pissed that I have to log in to write this reviews. I moved house and contact the customer service for the internet at my new address and disconncect service from my old service. The tech came to my new address, refuse to install new Internet cable because he said there is no "underground conduit" from the utility box to my house, and he left. Later, the landlord told me there is an old Xfinity conduit connect the main box to my house, and this tech just plain know nothing. I have to reschedule the 2nd visit a week later, and turn out, a tech never show up, even though the customer service confirm with me the appointment on the Xfinity app. I call to cancel the service on the same day because I don't want to pay for the service I never have. The refund credit of $39.99 was posted and confirmed on my email, but the refund for the service I paid $60 is still pending in the mystery if they actually refund it or just "steal" from me. Hate to give them even one star. Spent hours on the phone and couldn't get to a human. Their phone system is very anti-consumer. It is designed to force you to make decisions that benefit them -- not the consumer. They just wear you down with hours of phone trees that take you nowhere. Talking to human is almost impossible. They double billed me, and it took me over an hour to get someone to talk to me. They didn't fix the problem, they just wrote up a "ticket." Their goal is to get you into one of there "auto pay" programs. Their service is poor and the customer service is not there to help you. I decided to cancel my service. Didn't have any luck with that yet either. On hold and then online for another 30 minutes and finally ended up with the computer assigning me a call back a day later. Spend some time and find a local supplier of internet service. read more

Don't use this service. They are a rip off. I received this service because I was told it's internet was faster than what was using. They gave me a discount, which was more than I was paying but I decided to go with them . I wanted faster service. Well after so many months they jacked up the price which was way out of my budget .I called and asked if they would work with me and they said they said they couldn't . I had to pay the additional cost. I don't them to forget it. I didn't want their service any longer and told them to close my account. They said they would close me but I had to pay for the next month plus some additional charges. I reluctantly paid and told them I wanted nothing more to do with them. I received a statement in the mail saying I owed them nothing . I was paid up. Next thing I know I was checking my credit score and I saw that they sent me to a collection adgency-which affected my credit score. I called the collection adgency and they told me that Comcast was looking for a past due payment from me. Unbelievable. The agency said that the last payment I gave them was returned and I owed them this outstanding balance plus a fee for a returned check. OMG...I called my bank and asked them if this amount was returned and my bank said the payment was not returned -it went through. So now I am having to do all this running around so I can get this bad mark off my credit report. If I was someone who didn't pay my bills on time -that would be one thing-but I have never been late and I always pay my bills . A big company like this. They should be ashamed of themselves. Xfinity will no longer send a paper bill to my 98 yr old Mother who relies on internet service for her lifeline. They want her to pay online which, in this day and age of more and more sophisticated scams targeting senior citizens, seems to me to be incredibly insensitive to the needs and safety on the aging population. The worst cable box and system programming, ever!!! Had DirecTV for 20yrs, it was good. A large oak tree and the fact that the wall street shell corp AT&T bought DirecTV switched to Xfinity. The cable box and the system it interfaces to is the buggiest piece of junk. The fundamental architecture of the system is obviously flawed and the processing in the STB just looses it. Watch DirecTV for a while you can improve on it... plenty of room. Don't just bug out on an error, back it up and take another run at it... 2nd, 3rd order processing. Worst technology and the most untrained, rude customer service I've ever experienced, especially technicians Matthew and Terrell. Changed from DTV to take advantage of bundling. Xfinity misrepresented our channel package. The bandwidth of our PCs plunged when we switched over. After we decided to return to DTV, we were told by Xfinity that an installer would come to make our PCs right, take out Xfinity and reattach our DTV boxes. When Matthew learned about our cancellation, he flatly refused to do anything -- even to make our Comcast PC bandwidth right. I was floored by the incompetency and disrespect. read more

Nice employees who attempt to help while internet service is deplorable. Paying gig speed and not one device is close to this over the time offered. Recent speed test was less than 100mbps. I've had AT&T for a while now but their internet service has just been horrid. So, I finally decided to make the jump to Comcast even though I was a little unsure about their customer service. However, instead of calling them, I came into Phone Hut because they were the closest Comcast dealer in the area and I am glad I did. It was so much easier to talk to someone face to face, then to sitting on hold on the phone for 30 minutes. John and Manny were super helpful in helping me get the right internet for my needed. They didn't try to oversell me on speeds that I didn't need. A great experience and super quick. If you're in the San Jose are and need to get Comcast, then come to these guys. First of all the customer service was terrible. One of the representative lied about the service I currently have but will cancel and then refused to speak to me. The representative did not show any professionalism. Second, they charge a lot for cancellation of service. The internet and tv service did not live up to what was advertised. I got what I needed to get done, the guy at the front was really friendly whereas the girl who helped me did not look happy to be there. I had a very poor experience cancelling service for my mother-in-law. I returned the equipment and got a receipt yet my mother-in-law got a notice saying the equipment wasn't returned and she was gong to be billed. After speaking to 2 Comcast customer service representatives who were uncooperative a supervisor supposedly rectified the problem but did not explain why there was a mistake. This is about Comcast as a whole. Read your bill every month. 1) They put you on a 2 year contract of service/economical price. Then they take you off in 6 months to a year, breaking the agreement. If they come out to repair a device, the repair man swaps it out. Then you are paying for the old device , that he just took out of your house, plus paying for the new one. My family started out with only 3 devices. The disconnected constantly. I didn't look at the bill. After 2 years I finally looked to see why the bill was so high. There were 6 devices on the bill at 6.99 each. I called for them to remove and issue me a refund last year in September then I forgot about it. This year I called again...I said I have got time now, I am not letting go remove all devices that you haven't gotten a signal from in 2 years and I want that refund. 1 Agent decided she was going to play and put me on a silent hold for 40 minutes... I was talking to her the whole time. I said that I realize you have me on a silent hold and you expect me to hang up and I am not going to. I put her on mute and called comcast with my cell phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He got on the phone and I complained about this person 1) she lied and said that all five boxes are on and in use. 2) I asked her what channels are they watching, that's when she put me on the hold. In the end the supervisor was angry because he could see her activity and hear that she was not talking to me. 30 minutes into my and the supervisors conversation she hung up. Then he could that she disconnect 45 minute into her call and 30 minutes into our call. He made sure that all devices were removed, but the one in use. But they have proof that I have been asking for over a year and there have been no activity on the boxes for 2 years. They kept telling me to turn it in. I said the tech took them. Anyway I only got a 4 month refund instead of a 2 year refund. That is what this complaint is about. They know when devices aren't active and they claim not to know if the tech replaced your device but always know the new device. Resolution: We had insurance and had the tech come out to fix the same box that kept breaking. 1) I ended up with yet another new box on the bill/online and I had them come back againm. I told him, "Your mission is to count the TVs and their devices Count to 2 and take the missing boxes off of the account." From here call comcast and don't leave until it shows on the computer that we only have 2 boxes. 6.99x4x24months=$672 instead I got a refund of= 6.99x4x4=$112 Watch your bill and file a federal an state complaint. They were in serious trouble with Washington State and fined big time. I rather that part of that fine is refunded back to me for wasting my time. If you subscribe to Comcast TV and Internet please beware. They are using the COVID-19 pandemic to forego ANY customer service. Called and needed to talk to an agent. Left a number to call and they did not use that number. They called me on the wrong number and when I answered there was no one there (obviously a robot call) from the number on my account. I have been trying for weeks to get a live body on the phone. The phone service gets you in the same loop over and over with no option to speak to an agent. I pay through the nose for this and expect some customer service no matter what. If you go with Comcast for their service then just forget it and go with the cheaper carrier. read more

My parents are in their 90s the telephone internet and TV are all down, I had just stopped by to say hello and they're just sitting kind of crying about everything being down. So I called customer service and it took four tries for their system to let me through to customer service ! I was connected and gave them the address and the phone number and said I was wondering if the (and the motherf##### hung up on me! I called right back and the recording would say ~thank you for calling~ and the phone wood hang up? After five more tries with same problem happening I left my cell phone came home to eat my cold dinner. It was 50 minutes trying to get ahold if someone to tell me if their system was down, that's pretty crappy customer service they sure need to know if you were paid up what about my time, phone service, internet Wi-Fi, and television services being down do I get a rebate? NO I hope they don't ask for a review from me because it'll be a - 5 so good luck if you have a problem this evening and hopefully you know several languages so you can understand what customer service is saying to you. read more

DO NOT use them for home security. I have had mine for just one month. So far two sensors have gone bad. After waiting an excruciating long time for an actual person for the first one (front door), an appointment was made for a technician to come out (at no cost to me). They fooled me by a second call to have me move the sensor myself. Do not do that. I had to make another appt and again, long long long wait on phone. When I got a technician he did say the sensor was bad, but that all the new sensors they use go bad almost immediately. He put in an older sensor and it has been fine. Now the patio slider is doing the same thing. Actually it changes its mind all by itself sometime; i.e., when I'm going to bed it shows 'open' and when I get up it says 'closed". They won't send anyone out without charging me for a technician visit. They are mailing me one to install myself. Remember, if the controller shows a door open, it will not let you set your alarm. So I paid for an alarm that I have only been able to use for 1/3 of the time during the first MONTH of service. read more

Watch out for Comcast!!!!! They will "bait and switch" on you. As a VERY long time customer I called in January to see if I could continue to get the good price I'd been getting for the past year. They quoted me a good deal, said it would be good for a year and then 2 months later took away one of the discounts I'd been given. What a bunch of B.S.! Sure wish that there was a good alternative as far as programming etc. goes. If there was I'd be gone in a minute or less. It's no wonder that with cable providers like Comcast people are abandoning them in droves. read more
