It is a sorry state of affairs when you try to contact Xfinity and all you get are people outside of this country. I have tried 5 times to get to a billing department over a payment that is not posted to my account, but shows on my bank statement that it was taken out of my account on 08/04/2018 for $113.19. Every time I call them I get people that don't understand what you are saying and could care less to try and find what your problem is. I came over to them because they offered me a grate deal, and being retired and on a fixed income. The price they offered me was a good deal lower than AT&T would offer to keep me as a customer. But now I see why ever since I have got there service it has been one problem after another. Starting with the service right to the billing. I can see why they are lower than AT&T as there customer service sucks big time, and there record keeping is worse. Plus they will not work with you at all on the date you need the billing due. I am looking to go back to AT&T as at least you get customer service in the United States in UT. Hay don't get the service from Xfinity run like hell, they could care less about the customer. I have tried many numbers for them, and get that they are disconnected. It keeps telling you to call there customer service number that ships your call to an out of the country department. I have had it with there shabby service that they are giving. Also my premeiam (I believe this word is misspelled station they gave me for the length of the contract keeps switching to Spanish and I have to keep changing back to English. I've had bad experiences with Comcast/Xfinity over the last thirty years. Unfortunately, my county allows cable service providers to have a monopoly, so alternate choices are very limited. In any event, I had one of the worst interactions with them to date. An Xfinity tech range our doorbell and said he was there for an Xfinity upgrade. We told him we had not been notified and we were not aware of any scheduled upgrade. We asked him to hold on and not do anything while we call Xfinity in order to verify it was authentic (though not scheduled with us). I was on my computer trying to finish up some important work on the internet while my wife phoned Xfinity. The next thing I know we lose our cable and internet connection (and a lot of my work). I ran out to see the tech was in the process of doing the upgrade even though we had told him to wait. I gave him a piece of my mind (he was indifferent), but there wasn't much I could do. After he finished, I called Xfinity. I finally made it through their convoluted screening process (it kept trying to get me to give them a number so they could handle this via text, even though I repeatedly said no), and was able to speak to a real person. After explaining the situation to her, she apologized and told me in a monotone voice that she could "understand my frustration". She then proceeded to tell me that the tech was only doing his job as he only had a limited amount of time to perform the upgrade. That is why he had to start without waiting for our permission. Needless to say, that didn't go over well with me. They had come out unannounced, disconnected our service without permission, causing a real loss of productivity for me. She really was oblivious to my concerns (and I have to use the word indifferent again). She finally offered us a $6.00 credit for one day's worth of outage... I asked to speak to a supervisor. After quite a while I was connected to a supervisor who gave me the same song and dance, and once again it was obvious that she didn't care about me as a customer, and was only giving me lip service. She continued to insist that they had done nothing wrong, but did up the ante to a $20 credit. We went round and round for a few more minutes before I accepted that I wasn't going get any satisfaction from Xfinity. AT&T will have fiber in my neighborhood within the next six months and I will happily kick Comcast/Xfinity to the curb... what a miserable company. read more

Absolute worst company to do business with. They use predatory sales to rack up your bill. Calling 2 to 3 times a week to "upgrade" your services. In reality they'll sell you on faster internet which they're essentially just throttling to lock you into a 24 month contract without you knowing. All they do is say agree to the the text message contract, and you'll be all set. Not knowing that once you end your services that we're on a month to month plan. You'll get hit with a surprise early termination fee, just to try and get another dollar out of your wallet. Don't fall for the gimmicks, I had to call once a month to situate my billing because it continuously changed and they literally have zero respect for customers. One time while testing the system I could not disarm the alarm. Had technician come in to fix the problems but after he left the next day had the same problem. I signed up for internet and landline service with Comcast in a two year agreement in May 2015. My service is spotty, goes out when the wind blows too hard and theadd a new "fee" to my bill every month. $2 here, $1 there. Last July, I called the retention department, because after a year+ of their "fees" being added every month, I was not paying $150 per month, JUST FOR INTERNET AND PHONE! They were very agreeable and nice, the agreed to reduce my bill to $109 per month (which has already been jacked back up to $121 because of these mysterious fes) and they sent me a document to sign. Last week, when I called to inquire about disconnecting my services, I was told that my contract doesn't end until July 2020. I questioned that because I only signed two years in May 2015. Apparently, in July 2017 when they agreed to reduce my bill they renewed the contract, WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, not just for another two years, but three!! I was also told I would not be liable for any disconnect fees if I am moving to an area which Comcast doesn't service. The representative sent me to disconnect request to sign, but he tried to trick me by putting this at the bottom of the form UNDER WHERE MY SIGNATURE GOES: Early termination fees pursuant to Comcasts records: $2411 He just told me I would not have to pay any fees yet he tried to trick me into signing this document. I recently moved and called to transfer my service. They said your all set. Called back to change something, and they had no record of me calling the first time. So, I did it again. Feeling apprehensive, I called back a few days lately, and again, they had no record of my request, so I did it again. Moving day comes, and I try to activate at my new address to watch the AFC Championship game. Again, no record of me calling. So, I started a new activation. Signed up for Comcast during the Pandemic 3/20. I was told it was more expensive to sign up for internet alone and I would want to go the bundle route which I was quoted 77 dollars per month. So internet was going for more than 77 dollars for a basic speed unbelievable. I bit the bullet and got overcharged 103 dollars my past bill. Called in and explained my situation and the rep said she could get me internet alone for 35. Explained further that I was forced into getting cable with it for cost reasons and was also told if I signed up for automatic payment I would get ten dollars off per month. Which I had been having it autodraft since day one but because I was being sent a bill through the mail I didn't get saved that money. In just the internet alone I've over paid almost 500 dollars and 130 should have been taken off for the automatic bill payments. First customer service rep said she would escalate and someone would call me back. Nobody has called me and person I just spoke to said she couldn't do that and basically gave me the I signed up for this on March 17 no human touch or element at all. I have Comcast for internet and cable. During the Covid-19 crisis lots of companies have shown true concern for the customer by reducing rates. Comcast has gone the opposite direction. All of a sudden they raised my rate 33.70 a month. I called them and I was told my "promotion ran out" which caused the rate to go up. I asked for a new promotion and they had one that would be about 10 dollars cheaper which still makes it more than 20.00 up from before. I reluctantly accepted the new promotion; however, this month they are still charging the rate that is ip $33.70 per month. I called and spoke to Marissia who looked into it and gave me the run around. I asked to be transferred to her manager. I waited and was transferred to a voicemail message telling me they were NOT available. I called back and got a message from Comcast telling me I needed to login to my account for help. Made an appointment last week for a technician to come out between 1700 and 1900. I left work early and rushed home so that I could be here for the appointment. At 1830 called Comcast and was told that the technician would be out between 1830 and 1900. At 1900 called Comcast, was put on hold for 15 minutes and then my call was disconnected. At 1920 called again, and was told that they were sorry, but they would need to reschedule. I asked why no one called and what was the reason for the no show. The customer service agent said he didn't know why. I asked them if they were going to cancel the $60.00 service charge and he said that he could only reduce it to $40.00. Totally unacceptable... can't wait til Google Fiber is available. read more
