Said my order would be ready about 15 min from the time I ordered which is perfect because that's our amount of drive time. Well 5 min later I get a text saying our order is ready, AWESOME! He then grumbles about seasoned fries and yells back to the kitchen "I need seasoned fries, yes 20 minutes later" He then brings them to me and I say a cheerful thank you! Since I'm aware salt consumption should not exceed 1 TSP per day, and was dipping them in a salt-laden sauce, extra salt on the fries would not only be overkill but would also negatively manipulate the tastebuds for future meals. 2 burgers 1 fry to share, $18. Owning a small, mom and pop QSR can be quite the challenge! How about owning 3? So much competition (pricing, food quality, staffing, etc.) in this already crowded space. Hey, we get it. We chose the CBS BECAUSE they're a small business with outdoor seating and fresh cut fries. And we're glad we did. We're still hesitant dining indoors and the CBS has done their best to promote best online ordering, efficiency, and easy pick up practices. The CBS served as the perfect picnic oasis after our long afternoon of running errands. The CBS excels in many areas. Friendly and attentive staff, fresh food, unique condiments, and old school lemonade. We had the double burger, fried chicken sandwich, fries, and (of course) lemonade. The burger was super fresh (do they make the pickles in house too?), fries were crispy, and that old school, baseball game style lemonade....oh baby! You had us at "only three ingredients." We especially loved the condiment(s) row (kinda like Fuddrucker's) where you can get what you need and quickly sit on the patio. And yes, the comeback sauce is awesome on fries. Price point was perfect for "what you get." While we were there, many families came and went; families are always a good sign that you're in the right place. We also saw a young counter attendant RUNNING back and forth, taking the trash out while she was taking the next order on her headset. This service intensity is rare (understatement) in a Gen-Z QSR employee. Our only suggestions would be tidying up the patio more frequently, putting the lemonade out with the rest of the drinks, offering a signature (Frank's of course) fried chicken sandwich (thus elevating the tenderloin sandwich), toasting and buttering the buns, and allowing finite (click box) online ordering requests (e.g., extra crispy fries). Really tasty quick food options here. When I was a kid I used to love going to the mall and getting boardwalk fries as a treat. Going through the drive-through here and picking up their hand cut fries with a side of ranch reminds me of those delicious fries. If you want something more healthy the blackened chicken salad with avocado and bacon hits the spot. If you want gluten-free they do a great lettuce wrapped burgers. The fresh cooked burgers with a bunch of options to personalize are tasty. And the chicken fingers are fantastic. I personally have tried the comeback style ,create your own , and California chicken with great results. The pandemic has certainly put a halt to our dining options which are still limited to take out ... and only if I am sure that the staff is gloved and masked. After 12 weeks of Asian, my hub requested something different. (We did get Toni's Pizza once but a tooth issue precludes pizza for now.) Looking at our options near Ben Sawyer, I decided to check out Come Back Shack. The menu looked fine ... casual, with great prices and lots of options ... but what caught my eye was sweet potato chips and milkshakes. There is no online ordering ... dine-in, outdoor patio seating, walk in to order take out, or drive through. The drive through was so easy. I placed the order and pulled right up to the window. The order was ready in a flash and except for the large strawberry milkshake that was made while I was waiting. The bill was less than I calculated from the menu posted on line. This was because the on line menu offers sandwiches in two sizes but this location only sells one size. No problem. Joe's grilled chicken sandwich, served on a wheat bun and prepared California Style (with spinach, tomato, mayo, jack cheese and avocado) was certainly satisfying at $6.25 as was my Ahi Tuna Filet sammie, also California Style. At $8.25, the portion was generous and the fish was juicy. The sweet potato chips, prepared in house, were warm and delicious. I was thrilled with the portion size, the price ($2.40) and my choice of Come Back Shack Sauce for dipping. Joe's large strawberry milkshake, topped with whipped cream, was well worth $3.35. They offer lots of salads, burgers, chicken options and Nathan's Hot dogs, too. Everything can be customized just the way you want it. Finally, we have a new casual dining option for our Mt.
