If you plan to purchase a new Trane horizontal heater or if you have one, read my comments below: My Trane horizontal heater was installed by Comfort Climate Control (CCC) 16 years ago. We don't use this system often because this side of the house has good insulation and stay fairly warm during the winter. Regardless, we keep up the maintenance regularly. Last mid-December, Trane's blower motor went out. Instead of calling the last heater guy who fixed my backhouse heater, I decided to call CCC back because I think CCC knows their system better. Here are the pros and cons I experienced: Pros: 1) The lady answered the phone was really sweet and friendly. The technician was skillful and knew what he was doing. I really like their services. 2) Even without an appointment scheduled ahead, CCC came the day after I placed the call and replaced the blower motor that day. It was quick and easy. CCC technician was very efficient. Cons: 1) Very expensive: Since the weather was very cold and my 97 years old mother needed the heat, I let the technician replaced the blower motor without calling for a second estimate. I recently told my hairdresser I paid $745 to replace the blower motor. She told me she paid $350 in previous year for the same problem. I knew CCC's charge is high, but I did not know it's like double of other repairman's charge. 2) I found out the reason my blower motor went out was because Trane used cheap material: CCC's technician found my heater's insulation pad on top of the blower. He told me Trane used "cheap glue" on their insulation pad. Since I have a horizontal heater, the glue failed to hold the insulation pad in place and the insulation pad dropped onto the blower motor. In results, the blower motor got overheated and died. He said he had encountered this issues with other customers. I told him they should have informed Trane to correct the problem. I am also wondering why CCC did not remove the insulation pad when they installed my system if they knew the problem at that time. I don't think it's fair to let consumers pay for the repair bills when Trane could have corrected this problem easily by installing a couple of retainers to hold the pad in where it belongs to. read more

I am not much of a Yelper but felt compelled to create this account to review Comfort Climate Control. They installed our air conditioning unit 12 years ago. Their quote was one of the lower quotes, not the lowest. We have been using them to service our units even after we moved to our new house. Pete has been our tech every time and we have always been impressed by his professionalism, timeliness and efficiency. Pete just came again to fix my air conditioner and once again he performed his job with a great attitude. I don't usually give reviews but I was highly disappointed in CC's tech that showed up at my house and their customer service. Ill start off by saying they did install my system back in 2013 and did a great job. I also have a friend that does Heating and Air (outside the area) who gave me some direction on what's wrong with my system (freon being the main issue) The tech came out rebooted my system, told me the EMC was probably going out that he would tell the office and they would get in touch with me (crickets from them) I questioned him about the freon...He said my system is "fixed" and you cannot add freon. I called customer service and asked about the EMC the tech was talking about. They said they would have to get back to me with a quote....crickets again...its been about two weeks. So basically the service call and money spent was the tech turning my system on and off and leaving. The upside is I contacted another local company, Air-Tro...they checked the freon and observed and showed me that my system was missing half of the freon. He stated there is probably a leak based on the amount missing. The tech turned off the system and advised me that their office will be calling me. read more

Professional, friendly service. Had them repair our old A/C unit and then replace it. Job was done well at a fair price. We have twice a year service done. Their technician is verifies the A/C and heating system is working well, cleans filters and goes over the details of their inspection. A pleasure to do business with such a firm. read more

CCC removed our old (over 40 years) central air unit and installed a Trane system. The price was good. Friday, June 13, 2014 About a month ago, I contracted with Comfort Climate Control to install a new heating and air conditioning system. They had come recommended to me - that they could install a "turn-key" system with no hassle. They were not the cheapest company, but Mark Ramirez (the owner) gave me several options and was very clear. He gave me "turn-key" prices and we agreed on a mid-range unit with two zones. There were no surprises in the cost. His team of installers were as clean as can be expected for a dirty job. There was no unexpected damage to the house (something my wife really appreciated). We did cover the furniture with plastic to reduce the clean-up on our end. The new system was up and running on the third day - which was nice as the weather was quite worm. Work continued for another two days as they finished the installation and adjusted the system. The system passed the city inspection. I was not pressured or hounded to make advance payments (as I have been with other contractors). I recommend Comfort Climate Control if you desire a hassle-free "turn-key" operation with minimal impact on your residence. read more

We have had the air conditioning unit for a couple of years and our experience is always nice. The young lady answering the phone is 'always' pleasant, patient and informative. I wanted to commend Albert on a wonderful job!! He went above and beyond the service call to make sure that our questions were answered and we were informed about feature on our unit that we can utilize to make for a better experience. He came out to do a semi annual inspection on our unit. He was extremely professional and patient. Generally when a service is prepaid you are rushed and if you ask questions, you are often made to feel as though you are inconveniencing the service person. However, Albert took his time, showed me how to program our unit and even gave us options that would suit our daily routines. He was knowledgeable and even referred to his manual to make sure that the better option he suggested was working and that I understood how to set it. Comfort Climate Control is a superior company, not just in its ability to provide outstanding technical and customer service but also the amazing capacity they have to do it fast and with complete accuracy. When you use Comfort Climate Control you are pretty much guaranteed to get what you need, when you need it. We did. Our a/c unit which we purchased from Comfort Climate control about 15 years ago required servicing and a certain part so immediately we feared we were going to be told either they were too busy or we'd have to wait days or weeks for the part or some other BS story that you would typically hear from a company that provides these types of a/c and heating services - especially in So Cal during the summer. Nope, these people: Connie, Abraham and the amazing Pete took great care of us and within about 24 hours, our a/c was working like a brand new unit. Abraham was the first to diagnose the problem which he did very quickly and even took a picture of the part and send it to the office where Connie immediately hunted down the part. Then Connie placed a call to the amazing Pete who that day, not only drove out to get the part, but also showed up that same afternoon (it was late and 100+ degrees) and went right to work installing the part and doing a thorough maintenance check. Poor Pete was sweating like a big dog in that ridiculously hot garage but focused on his task until he was certain that we had a perfectly performing a/c unit. We are so thankful for the incredible efficiency of these people and their astonishing dedication to giving the customer what they need with lightening-like speed. My wife and I were looking at different companies to replace our 25 year old Lennox system and were weren't exactly sure whether to go with another Lennox system or another brand in the market. First after reading and doing a month worth of due diligence on Trane HVAC system we ultimately decided on Trane and contacted at least 3 local companies specialized in Trane equipment. We then experienced the full gamut of sales and various quotes to replace not only the ac and heating system but also to remove the duct works and asbestos. We came out mostly impressed with Comfort Climate Control in addressing all our concerns and the genuine care in carrying out and executing all aspects of the job (asbestos removal, city permit, certification, rebates. This company is about service. They came highly recommended from friends, who had unsatisfactorily worked with another company and vowed never to work with anyone but Comfort Climate Control. After our experience, we can see why. Pete arrived in a timely manner, diagnosed our air-conditioning problems, and provided us with our options. Because our system is an old one, the company had to research obtaining an adaptor to work with a needed new motor and keep the costs reasonable. Yvonne, the receptionist, was absolutely wonderful through the process. Despite being busy, she returned a call after hours, gave us a half hour notice before Pete arrived, and patiently listened to and addressed our concerns (even with phones ringing in the background). Because of Pete's efficient handiwork and Yvonne's pleasant customer service, we are happily enjoying our air-conditioned home. read more

we got multiple quotes from different companies and experienced the full gamut of sales styles; in the field of pitches, comfort climate was the most direct, not making you feel like you're being played. there was integrity in how they conduct their business, and that is important to us. this direct, what-you-see-is-what-you-get approach carried through the installation and completion of the work. there was some active followup that we needed to do, to stay on top of the status of the city inspection and rebate, but CC was responsive whenever we checked in. we've had our system for close to a year now, and we are very happy with everything. read more
